Vehicular Transportation

The girls are still very fond of vehicular transportation. Whenever we are on the road, they will sure look out for bus, car, motorcycle, truck, van, lorry and trailer. Actually what is the diff between truck & lorry? Anyway...

Recently I have been teaching the girls to differentiate bus, super-long bus and double-deck bus. And I realised the new facelift double-decker was, cooled! So I thought maybe one day should let them experience riding a double-decker ;-)

Last friday, Rachel's family are going back to brisbane and I thought bringing the girls to send bon voyang then we can take the mrt, then bus home as promised. The girls can see the aeroplane too. One stone kills so many birds, I like it.

See, the two birds are chipping around the departure hall.

The girls took sometime to visualize the aeroplane due to the glass reflection at night. Still we had a great time. We had Macdonald happy meal and the girls were roaming around the viewing gallery freely.

We stayed at the airport till pretty late... it time to set off for our public ride journey.

Though this is the second time they are taking the mrt, stil they display some anxiety. The mrt seats were quite occupied. Only manage to get two seats together, the moment I put the two girls to sit, immediately they broke down crying! To avoid attraction, the maid and I quickly carried them. Clarabelle was still in tear when she spilled out: "Qijing take mrt..." Abella also cited: "Weiwei tak mrt..." -_-"

When we manage to get more spacious seats and the girls were in the comfort of our arms, Clarabelle starts babbling: "door open... aunty go out... wow! so many people... ... ..." (self-talk)

However Abella was keeping very quiety, observing her surrounding, the in and out flow of passengers.

me: "Abella, do you like taking mrt?"

Abe: silent...

Clara: "No! Mummy take bus, take double decker bus?" then she turned to Abe trying to advocate her... " Weiwei, take bus? huh? ok? we take bus?" her head still nodding hoping Abe will flow along with her.

me asked again: " Abella, do you like mrt?" then a soft voice spilled out "Y-E-S..."

We didnt take the double decker as there isnt any double decker service can bring us home unless we do another transit but it's getting late, the girls had worn out.

See, Clara lay flat at the doorstep the moment we step in and refuse to budge.

Mummy can be confused too

I was browsing thru the children photo folder and my eyes landed on this photo.
Everyone was telling me my girls resemblance me, especially Abelle.
Hm... Abella is really a mould of me. This photo looks exactly like one of my childhood photo, same pose, same expression, just different year.

But wait! This isnt Abella! I thought I saw a "red dot"! (Many people indentify Clarabelle by her trademark, the birth mark on her brow)

This is then Abella. I never have problem differentiate them. But not this time. Is my eyes failing me or are they growing more alike? I dont know...

Unusual Capture!

Never thought that my active clarabelle can be so attentive and sit quietly alone.... for more than one thousand eight hundred seconds!

So what's so attractive and had captivated her?

She is actually watching her daddy bowling. But when she noticed my arrival, she starts bugging me to go bowling. I dont like bowling, so I tell her: " no, mummy dont want, why not Qijing bowl?" her repy: " no, Qijing cannot take the ball, too heavy, dangerous..."

-_-

Consecutive the same day, I spotted my two active girls are so quiet and engross in their own world...

Their vision are on the entrance and exit of the basement carpark... waiting patiently for any car to pass by. Both unusual self. I am not complaining, in fact I am enjoying their quietness... just that I am very curious they can be so... quiet.

Abella is tire. Squatted down... making Mickey to stand instead... and mumbling: " bickey mouse see..."

Caught her uncouth act! Scratching her itchy back side! Hee... but children do it looks so cute :)

Illustrative Girls?

Had borrowed this book from the library. The girls are pretty familiar with Harold and called him "baby". Hopefully this book will captivate them for some attentive reading thought, there are not many words.

I am quite helpless. Till today, It is still very difficult to make them pay attention when I am reading. Thought helpless, they had surprised me some other things instead...

My girls love pictorial illustrating. Sometimes they will associate with other things and have non-stop remarks. Take for example this page, they say rainbow, then dono what 姨婆 and they went "kili kuru... kili kuru..."

What I know is, my mum had bought them the "ai yo yo" children vcd, and the cover has a rainbow too. They must be taking about some scene in the vcd. Then the sun, kili kuru... kili kuru...

What surprise me is, they actually know guitar?! And pie, they say the pie is hot?! Impressive right? No? Wait till you read further...

For this page, they say the dog was barking at "baby", that is Harold. "Baby" was scared. Dog dog is naughty.

I told them, "No, doggy is not naughtly, she is smiling, see, she is wagging her tail..."

Then I saw Harold's astonished face... most probably they interpreted that face looks scare. And they have noticed the insect on Harold head is grasshopper ??! *eyes oozing out*

Very happy as I can have my favourite fish dipper with tartar sauce :p

Very happy as it's very helthy as the apple juice is perservative free :p

Very happy to able to enjoy my favourite fries but wont indulge cause a small pkt only :p

But the most joyous part of all is, the toy!

Complaint Queen

We love Double Chocolate Chewy ice-cream. However beside the ice-cream parlour, it's quite difficult to find in our supermart selling this in tub.

One day, during my usual grocery shopping at the supermart, I was trying my luck then, combing through the chiller and surprisingly, this gelazia caught my eye! Dark Chocolate Gelato... Heehee... cant believe my luck, happily I grab home one.

The Verdict
Hmm... It's not as chewy but I love it for it's not very sweet. Simple comment huh? Well, I think my girls will have more comments...

Usually I will make one ice-cream cone and share with the girls. So we are taking turns to "lick" but Clarabelle is always a fast eater, you know, 猪八戒吃寿桃不知道寿桃甜, the kind that finish the food without knowing the taste. When is her turns, instead of licking the gelato, she puts the whole cone into her mouth and bite off a big part! Whereas Abella is the gentle one, just tapping some with her tongue. Seeing that, I feel that Abella is eating less, so when about to finish, I gave Abella the remaining small biscuit cone... it was as small as 1cm only. Happily Abella gallop it and announced "no more!".

Clara protest and ask: Qijing, dont have???!
me: You ate alot already. Just now you bite very big mouth.

And asked the maid to clean them up and give them water in the room... then Abella came telling me Qijing dont want to drink water and drag me into the room...

Clara saw me and remarked : Qijing dont have ice-cream, Weiwei have ice-cream, Weiwei finish the ice-cream, Qijing dont want to drink water...

but after that she finished the water.

Hahaha! This little girls know how to complaint already huh?

New Phase of Life

Still very busy at work... but we are leaping to another phase of life very soon. For me, the changes will be no maid assistant, meaning the minimum space I having now will be taken off . For the children, they will be going to school, learning to be independant and interacting with others... guess, the changes will be more drastic to them... hope everything will runs smoothly.

See, my 2yrs 5mths girls are going to the school soon.
We had brought them to visit the school and their responses are good.

So lately, I have been talking about the school with them. Asking them do you want to go to school? Sometimes they reply yes, sometime no. I always tell them, when they are in school, they will have alots of friends, they must share toys with friends, no fighting, no pushing. They must listen to the principal and teachers. They must take care of each other too... blar blar blar... I know I become quite naggy, keep repeating those things like my mother, when my brother was going oversea to study. Now I can understand my mother feeling, she is so afraid of missing out something so she keep repeating herself.

I think it's champagne grape season. It's so easily available in the NTUC and they are so tiny and sweet. The girls love it too! We have it almost daily. Last night fruit was champagne grape again and donut peach. When the girls were fighting for the last tiny drop, Clarabelle manage to gallop it before Abella can snatch from her. The angry Abella came complaining to me. The scene was so funny, Clara reaction was so fast, If I have vcam it, it will be so memorable... to pacify Abe, I told Clara she could have bite half and give the other half to Abe, then this cheeky Clara pretend to take out from her mouth the grape and wanted to feed Abe... LOL!

Before they sleep, I was talking to clara about the sch things again...

me: Clara, you must take care of Abe when in sch... you must share things with Abe...

Then Clara was nodding her head and replying "En" to every of my words... and repeating the action, taking the grape from her mouth giving to abe... Aw... isnt this 窝心... I know my girls level of understanding things but it's cute to see Clara noding her head and answering me " En".

Daddy vs Mummy

I hate this question, when people, especially those thought they can abuse their seniority, ask me : " Which girl you love most? The elder or younger? "

I think it's an mindless question as both are my girls, both I had conceived 36 weeks in my womb, both are my flesh...

anyway, I reply gently : " both are my love, they share the same weightage in my heart. "

but this people still dont buck, still insist... " no lah, I think you love the elder one... see, now you are bias, you gave the elder one but didnt give to the second one... ... ..."

I have no interest engaging in such groundless conversation, make myself scat... who's care you are senior... I already give you the respect you deserved!

My parents wont make such comparison. Though I am the youngest and only daughter in my family, above me I have 2 elder brothers. I always feel the equality in our parents' heart. My mum has always incalcate us to love, care and give in to one another. Dispite when young actually I find my eldest brother a bully but when grown up, we really care and love each other, no condition.

So, same here, I always tell my girls must love and give in to one other. I also dont ask my girls who they love most amongst us. I think this question not only put them in a difficult position but also confuse them about loving their love one. I think all our love one should stand an equal position in our heart. So, I always tell them mummy love Abe, mummy love Clara too. Daddy love Abe, Daddy love Clara too. Abe&Clara love mummy, Abe&Clara love daddy too... same apply to ma ma, gong gong and all the related.

( Eh... SS, pls dont feel that this is criticizing about your " love me... not " entry, I know you have not purpose... yours is just a casual talking. So dont think otherwise, k :p)

Though my girls are more bond to me, most probably I spend more time communicate with them as compare to their daddy. But luckily they are still affectionate with the daddy. In fact I am glad they are, at least will be the attaction for the daddy to stay at home often.

Anyway... then this 不自量力 daddy still wants to challenge me...

Last time, when he felt clarabelle resemblance him, so he likes clarabelle more and claimed that clarabelle responded to him more then to me and insisted us to take a test which I really dont wish to... ... ... embarrass him.

But he insisted... so, -_-

Test 1
He was carrying Clarabelle, so I opened up my arms and prompted clara to come over. Most willing, she leaned foward to my arms : )

Then was daddy's turn, he did the same, opened up his arm prompting clara back to his side, clara refused...
LOL!

Test 2 (Not intented)
We were preparing the bed to tuck the girls to sleep...

me: " Who wants to sleep with mummy? " and both girls came pushing to be slept beside me.
Then daddy: " Children dont squeeze, who wants to come over to daddy? " Nobody respond... Since Abella is nearer to me, I say " Clara, why dont you sleep with daddy? "

Clara: "No!"

Nowaday the daddy seem to like Abella more as he claim that Clara is very naughty but Abella is more loving and always look for him and ask about his whereabout.

Test 3 (Not intended)
When we came back from work together, the moment we enter the living rm, if still early, we can hear the girls came dashing out from the bedroom, they were screaming with joy when see both of us home. Then both of us open our arms to embrace them, both the girls squeeze into my arms and afterthat, of course, they went to embrace the daddy...

I think I dont want to spell it out and making comparison the love from our girls by the sequence of their approach but I really hope the daddy can realise the importance of bonding and make time to communicate and mind sharing with the girls. Not just bringing them out every weekend, it funtime though but not much of communication for bonding. He say he dont needs the bond, bond for what? Then cannot do other things! I dont know he say this is out of his chauvinism or he really think that way but seriously I can feel that I am gradually detaching from him since now we have less thoughts exchange... I am hoping the girls wont gradually feel the way I felt though it's inevitable.
