One night, I made these insects paper craft. Hopefully to give the girls a surprise when they wake up next day! These craft are very easy to made... and the final product made me so excited! They are so colourful and nice!
Indeed, the next morning... See the excitment in Abella?! Her favourite is butterfly!Seeing her smile has brighten my day thought it gona to be another busy one at work :)but the craft did not survive long... they had a fatal destiny...
and the culprit is no other but my two girls!I do anticipate this will happen but never expect to be so soon... less than a day...That night before I can stop any destruction, the girls had already "dissect" them!粉身碎骨! 惨不忍睹!
They are very fond to destroy paper stuff kind of things, they torn pages of book, magazine, party hat and paper craft like this... and I think destructive is a very 要不得 behaviour and must be corrected since young. When I try to instill them some sense of ownership and responsibility to take good care of things, be it their or not, I had a hard time...
They know I dote them very much and seldom sound hard to them. So when I get serious and talk to them firmly (is tough though, they always amuse me dispite they had done some misdeed), they are not listening and are trying to talk me out with their topics... -_-"
me: " No! mummy's not going to hear what you say unless you pay attention to what mymmy say." Me looking stern and sound firmed, finally the two girls are attentive and standing straight girls.
me: "mummy tell you many times not to tear things right? can u tear things? yes or no?"
clara: "can you tear things, yes or no.."
me: "answer mummy yes or no? "
clara: "answer mummy yes or no.."
me: "dont repeat what mummy say! Answer mummy"
clara: "dont repeat what mummy say.."
Arrrh! She is testing my limit... she knows is wrong to tear things and I know it's difficult for children to practice what they preach as they still need to attain some self managing course call "self discipline", even some growth up adults have not attain, not to say a young toddler... but what Im concern is, she dont respond appropriately... +_+"
me: " see you have tear the tortise, now they are not nice, they're all spoiled, you cant play it anymore...blar... blar... blar..."
Finally I give up explaining, I feel myself very naggy and further explaination wont made them understand any. So I give each a spank on the palm and made them stand against the wall... their eyes turn red, will cry any moment... but they are very obedient, standing against the wall, looking at me...
After 5 mins, I go back to them and ask: "can you spoil things next time? yes or no? "
Clara & Abe : " yes!"
me: -_-" No... you dont tear things, when spoilt, you cant have it anymore...."
Abe trying to form back the torn tortise as they often see me taping those torn pages and crafts... -_-
Abe: " mummy spoilt... tortise spoilt... cannot spoilt things..."
me: " yes... see it's spoilt... you cant play it anymore... where is the caterpillar?"
Clara: " Oh where? where is the caterpillar?"
Abe: " there!"
Abella ran to the living room, climbed up the sofa, pointed the back of the sofa hugging againt the wall... and when we push away the sofa... pieces of paper dropped out... which is the segments of caterpillar...wings of cicada... She had torn them and slot into the groove in between the sofa and wall!
Destructive Girls!
