Stranger Anxiety

I thought my two girls have long ago overcome this fear. No until recently I realised they are actually not ready yet. How I notice this is when I try to detach my girls from my current maid to let my brother in-law's maid to carry them, immediately they burst into tears and cling to us like a koala. As we will be sending our current maid home once the new maid come, I thought to let them mix more with other people so when our old maid is not around they dont find something amiss. When my brother in-law's maid trying to make 2nd attempt to get near them while they are playing, their sense signal enemy, they rather abandon the toys and dash to us : (
I start to sense trouble... even my friends come they also refuse to let them get near. When they meet people outside, they will build up their defence wall, holding very tightly to us. Anytime any people trying to touch them or get near them, they are prepared to scream! I am quite worry when the new maid come, how is she going to cope with this two stress up children? : (
I thought we didnt bring them out too often? When I browse my photo album, indeed about once a month an outing and the itineary of the outing didnt associate much interaction!
Now whenever we meet people in the lift or on the road, we will encourage them to interact hoping can improve their anxiety with people...

This outing is 3 month back.
The daddy found this vegetable farm during his fishing hangout. The farm is near kranji. We have a fun time plucking veggie. You can pay and bring home your harvest too.

Beside this farm is another farm run by different operator. More commercial, no plucking allowed, purely for viewing...

19mths- Bukit Pajang Park

Last Sunday brought my two girls to our neighbourhood park - Bukit Pajang Park.

We came out quite late, around 10am. Was quite sunny already. Didnt catch the morning dew, didint see any Tai Ji or Qi Gong gang too, except a few single soul. Walking around is very peaceful, hearing the insect making 'ci ci' sound and the butterfly happily fly fly away...

Saw a pair of eagle flying high. (see black dot in the middle of the photo)

Maid Management Guide

Yesterday we finally selected our new maid and will be sending the current one home once the new one arrive. The current maid is our first employment and initially we are quite satisfy with her. But lately she is consistantly giving us problem so we decided to terminate her earlier. I did an Root Cause Analysis and Defect Prevention, hoping the 2nd maid can last longer.
The mistake we had made...
1. Let the maid choose what to eat resulting she is picky with food.
2. Let the maid dine with us resulting she is too liberal.
3. Did not enforce what we had said resulting she did not follow instruction.
What I have learn from the first employment...
1. Never do something infront of her if you do not want her to follow because they will always monkey see monkey do.
2. Never empower your maid because they will never know where is the line. Always keep the line clear.
3. Must always follow up with her performance because once you slacken, they will slacken.
And lastly, I am inspired to contemplate writing an Maid Management Guide!

Shape Sorter

Clarabelle can put the different shape into the correct shape hole already! Mmm... at her 19 months, consider progressing? What notable is she love to do pretending. Everytime before she puts the shape into the correct hole, she will pretend to put at the wrong one and nod her head reciting " no no no " and to another wrong hole again reciting " no no no " till she feel like it, then she puts into the correct one and claps her hand after hearing the " kor kor " (shape drop in making sound).

Clarabelle really enjoyed shape sorting & pretending game.
She has put the four different shape in the respective seating correctly and is giving herself a big applause. Of course prior to that she is doing the " no no no " pretending...

Taking Public Transport ( Part 2 )

Yesterday morning Clarabelle wake up with body full of rashes. She has been scratching her body alot last night but I thought is normal behaviour as children love to rub eyes and nose, dig ears or scratch body when they feel sleepy. Luckily the rash subside very soon but I think it is better to see Dr Ho. Firstly because for two day already, she has some blood stain in her nose's mucus which I am quite concern too. Secondly, coming to 3rd week already and my voice still cannot recover and I have been coughing till my chest muscle ache.
So there is nothing great about seeing Dr but the dauting thing is that I am bringing my baby out alone! Lucky only bring Clarabelle not two.
See Clarabelle look so sweet in this pinkish dress, hmm... look like I really have to "dress" up them so that no more people will tell me " Boy ah ? " again!

Waiting for our bus... Kowayi nei !

At MRT platform... Kowayi loosing patient already, want to come down. As for the rest of the journey no photos taken because mummy busying stoping baby doing anything danger or disturbing, no this no that, mixing milk, received phone call, lookout for bus @#%*!?
Seen Dr Ho, luckily nothing
serious. The rashes in chinese layman term is called
" Hong Mo ". Just apply calamine lotion when itchy. No medicine prescribed for mouth. The bleed nose is due to sensitive nose having fine blood vein, break easily when rub. No medicine prescribe.
Whereas medicine is prescribed for mummy cough, phlegm & chesty chest and throat inflamation. Total cost = $30 (mum) + $15 (baby) = $45
Home = Daddy lunch break, fetch us back home. Phew!
