Mixed feeling

I got this mixed feeling...Abella & Clarabelle are 17mths old now. My babies become girl girl already! I cant find much baby fats on them now, no more "no teeth" smile or seeing the little chubby fellow kicking in the cradle,babbling... I miss so much their babyhood
BUT on the other hand...
They are more interactive now, partial independent and always can amaze me... I enjoy gazing at them wondering what are their petite little head thinking... what's their next prank... They are always full of energy!Hmm... This little "big adult"

Abella & Clarabelle at 8mths...
see their michilin limbs :) *proud mother*
I think baby should be chubby so they look more cute. However when they grow to a toddler, it's better to be slender, as it's healthy and look nicer...furthermore they are girls, must be pretty pretty.

Everytime I bring my girls to Dr Ho for their immunization jab, he always comment "not nice... should slim down abit..." where other is always " Wow! So chubby, jin siew leh! (pretty in hokkien) "

Initially I feel quite hurt as everyone is praising my babies except him. But he explained that it's important for baby to be weight conscious too or the tendancy of obese in future will be high as we have triggle the fatty cell to develope in their early baby stage. So have a good start by weaning healthly. Dont wait till their teenage then start dieting!

Good Sign

This pinkish "strawberry" mark (haemangiomas) appeared on clarabelle's left eyebrown when she was 3 weeks old. Initially we thought she had scratched herself but a week later the scratches did not recovered but started to bulge out and show sign of growing. Luckliy Dr Ho said it was just haemangiomas (a type of birthmark), not to be worried as eventually it will go off. Indeed today we have see good sign... the pinkish colour is fading! Haemangiomas haemangiomas go away! Clarabelle dont need this !

Latest play idea

Check out Abella's feet!

This is their latest play idea... wearing the cubes on the feet and walk around the house making "clark clark" sound.

These "playskool" cubes come in big to small sizes and meant to be stack up in chronological aphabetical way.
From these cubes they should be learning sizes, colours and ABC but somehow they prefer to experiment them on their feet then just plain stacking game.
But what amazed me most is both of them have favouritism two particular cubes as they fitted well on their feet. The other cubes are either too loose, difficult to walk with or too small, painful to walk on. Inevitable, both of them always fighting for that two cube. Next day when their feet have grown bigger, will they still want the same cubes or will start to fight for another two bigger cubes? Hope they will learn to share next time or maybe they may have fancy new stuff already by then...

My sweetest "mummi"

This morning I was waken up by the world sweetest "alarm clock", a crystal clear ~mummi came out of my sweetie daughter, Abella's mouth! This time is for real, she is referring to me and not any other thing! Her daddy had carried her out of the pan and prompted her : "abella, wake mummy up!" then the sound "mummi" spill out of her mouth. She finally can acknowledge her mummy... *tears*

Abella and Clarabelle started to babble "ma ma mah" at their 11th months. I was overwhelmed then but later realised that beside my wedding collage hanged in the dinning room and my mother, "ma ma mah" also equate to any woman in the magazines, photos and even Barney!

Abella is too sweet... hmm... dont know when clarabelle will open her golden mouth?
