"Avoid eye contact"

I feel like every time I take pics of Krista now-a-days, she's just thinking, "run away," and "avoid eye contact at all cost." It gets very frustrating, but luckily I kinda like the "no eye contact" look (or at least, it's growing on me). Do you like the color of one or two better?

Two more for today

I couldn't tell which coloring was better, but I'm already seeing how I could fix #1. Is the 2nd one too dark? I'm so mad b/c she's actually sitting on a huge tire (in 2), but you can't tell. I should've tried to get more of it in there.

Couldn't Resist!

Daniel and I did a photoshoot with the girls last night. I have TONS that I really like, so it will take me forever to ps them all and post them here, but I couldn't resist posting this little teaser to get you all excited (this was one of my favs, so they're not all this good). Would you crop this any differently? I have such a hard time knowing what looks best.

Such a good helper!!!

Yesterday was the perfect spring cleaning day (which is just about the only day I really clean) and I decided to deep clean the kitchen. Of course, Krista wanted to help, so I gave her a rag and set her on the counter with me. When I went to get the camera, she got a little side-tracked with the dishes, but I thought it was cute anyway. Speaking of dishes, you should see this girl load a dishwasher! She puts all the forks together, all the spoons together, etc., and then she puts all of her plastic spoons and forks together (which is what I do). O.C.D?

Krista has always loved to help Mom and Dad with whatever they're doing. When I put on my gloves and raked leaves in the fall, Krista started helping, so I put her gloves on and we worked side by side. Now, every time Daddy or Mommy do yard work she wants to put on her gloves and help. From a very young age, she loved to clean up which I thought was very unusual. But now I realize that she is just like her Daddy: a clean-freak organizer.

Not looking forward to puberty!

This one is so full of emotion--something I thought I missed with just Dan and Krista around (they are not very emotional). The funny thing is, she can turn it on and off on a dime. The above sequence (with a few steps missing in-between) is a typical crying cycle: she's fine, she begins screaming, I look at her and she instantly starts laughing. Then when she realizes that I am not going to pick her up, the cycle begins again. It really is funny to watch.

Oh, the joy of BUBBLES!!!!

Can't you just feel the excitement! Oh, to be two again!
Krista loves bubbles! I know these aren't the greatest pics, but it's a peek into our daily routine.... yes, that's right, we do bubbles almost every day!

MOMMA'S GIRL!!

People have said that Emma and I are alike in many ways. We are similar in one way for sure; we are both momma's girls. Anyone who knows Emma will tell you that she is happiest when in the arms of her mother, and mom quite enjoys having her there (most of the time).

BEST BUDS!!

These two are somethin' else. They are SOOOO much alike and just think the world of each other. Daniel's family always teases him about his pride, so I guess it would make sense that he'd love someone that was just like him.... Come to think of it, he and I are a lot alike too--hmmm. Hehe, just teasin' ya honey.

Technicalities!

I know these are not "technically" that great, but her little face is just too cute! I couldn't resist!

Seeing Red

OOPS! No one told me that sitting next to a bright red wall would cast a red tint over ones' entire face-- hehe. I guess that's why they call it practice, eh? Well, she's gorgeous anyway!

Aren't I LUCKY!!!!

I have such gorgeous models to play with! There are plenty more of these that I can't wait to play with, so stay tuned! I am noticing that the color on some of these is a little off, especially next to the red wall (getting a strange reflection). Any feedback you could give me would be much appreciated!

OOOH LA LA!

Kay, I can't take credit for this one; Chersten actually captured this gorgeous picture (I just photoshoped it a little). I think it's safe to say that Karen finally got the "sexy look" down!

All Smiles!

So I did a fun little photoshoot with my gorgeous sister-in-laws yesterday; they were such good sports and I hope they had as much fun as I did. We tried to get Karen to do the "sexy look", and as you can see, all we got was giggles. But man, ain't she so darn cute anyway!

Cutest EVER!

These two are the cutest and best of people! They were kind enough to let me take their pics. as a birthday present for Dad--but DON'T TELL b/c it's a SURPRISE!!!!!!
I like this picture, but somehow the proportions seem off to me. Should I crop in tighter?

Cherstie-pie

Isn't she GORGEOUS! I'm afraid I haven't done her justice. This is my first attempt at back-lighting and I can safely say I have no clue what I'm doing... oh well.
Other than the fact that she is much more beautiful than I, Chersten and I are sooo much alike (it's scary sometimes). I so love being around her and feel up-lifted every time I am.

T-DAWG

This guy is sooo cute and SUCH a ham! He cracks me up! Mom really liked the last one; boys will be boys.

Same pic., two very different crops

Which do you prefer?

It's my blog and I can blog what I want to!

We went to feed the ducks on Sat. and it was just sooo beautiful, I couldn't resist snapping some shots. So, I hope this isn't silly, and I hope you all enjoy nature as much as I. These are by no means professional grade pics., in fact, that second to last one was taken by my nine yr. old bro-in-law (he's 9 going on 30; I think he wants to be a little bit of everything when he grows up).

My Girls!

Just sittin' around in the kitchen.

Just my Em

Emma is my little Momma's girl. I can't help but melt when I see that big gummy smile of hers'.

Second attempt

This is a second attempt; it's processed darker and with less blue. I think it probably looks much better than the ones below? In general, do you like these pics bnw or color?

My little angels!

My wonderful, talented, and, of course, beautiful sister Anna took these precious pics back in Jan. She shot in raw, so I was really proud of myself because I figured out how to alter them (as raw photos) and then turn them into jpegs. However, I'm afraid that once again they look great to me, but awful on other computers. I just wanted to confirm that with you before I tried it again.
