What a Deal ~

Bob loves buying plants and flowers (especially in January), and when he finds a good sale, it's even better! He stopped at the little garden shop down the street and discovered they are going out of business. So..........
He bought azaleas and minature roses and he brought me this flat of snapdragons, they were FREE.
The next day the owner delivered four of these babies (complete with flowers) with his tractor.
And today these two plants appeared on the front porch.

While out for a drive a few days ago, we decided to drive by "the house that we almost bought". Before we found the house we are in now, we found this place. It was on about 15 acres, with LOTS of pecan trees and a pond. We spent a couple of hours wandering around the property by ourselves and went through the house twice with the realtor before deciding it just wasn't the right one. We were shocked to see it has burned to the ground.... we also see, and are thankful for, the divine intervention that steered us away from that house.

COLLECTIONS ~ Bob Finds the Cabinets ~ Jeri Fills Them

We bought this collection of dolls at a garage sale in Lexington. The lady selling them cried....and that made the lady buying them cry too. Mom helping me unwrap my collection of shoes.
When I was a little girl we would visit my mom's Aunt Maude. It seemed that everywhere I looked, windowsills, table tops, everywhere - I saw pretty little glass shoes.
I got my first shoe (the shell covered one on the left) in 1963. My newest shoe was given to me by my daughter-in-law Shelly, it is the cute little red shoe in the middle and on the right are some very special shoes that my cousin Janice brought to me from Finland. I wonder if she remembers them???
