Because I'm kinda lazy to sift through the Cameron Highlands photos. I wrote about it about a month ago, in case you've forgotten.
One day while driving home from work, I saw a "pooch mobile" somewhere in front of me. It's a mobile hydrobath for your pets! (or maybe just dogs?) Anyway, I wonder how it works...do you call it to your house to pick up your dog? Does it wash your dog on the way to...uh, I'm not sure where? Or does it just take your dog to its premises where it will give it a wash? (and maybe some grooming...)
I guess one way to find out is to call that number...but nah, I don't think I'll do that. :P
And some weeks back I tried some fried squid sold by a van near my place. The van sells Taiwanese chicken chop (you know, the kind that is chopped up for you and has chilli powder sprinkeld on it), popcorn chicken, fries and that kind of stuff. I had bought the chicken a few times but not the squid...
Very good! The coating is nice and crispy, and the squid is just nice, not rubbery at all. And the chilli powder adds to its yumminess! RM4 for a packet (100g, I think).
And here is what's on the paper bag:
Um...I expected a company name and phone number... I think they had it before this, when I bought the chicken... I shall have to see the next time I buy it.

The tale of the chicken feet
Remember when I mentioned that we wanted to go hiking?
We've gone twice since... but that's not what I wanted to write about. What I want to write about is the conversations I had with my fellow hikers, on chicken feet.
One day, we went to a friend's hokkien mee stall. She also sells chicken feet as accompaniment, so I had some.
We had decided to go hiking the next day, with F and C. C was not with us that day, but when F saw what I was eating, he exclaimed, "You still dare to eat chicken feet when you are going hiking tomorrow?"
I went, "Huh? What's the connection?"
And he said, "Your legs will become shaky like chicken legs."
Er...... hahaha.
I didn't think much about that any more, until another day when we were having lunch in the canteen with C. This time F wasn't around.
We also had plans to go hiking that day, and C was taking an unusually long time with his meal (he's usually among the first to finish). When we commented on it, he said, "That's because I took chicken feet today...tonight we're going hiking, so I need to 'strengthen' my legs."
What?? Wait...that's not what F said the other day... lol
You take your pick on which theory you want to believe... :P

Of mutual scolding
You like scolding people so much... come with me... You can scold me and I'll scold you back.
And we could just have so much fun.
Some things are best left unsaid... but fools might not heed the warning.

I won! I won!
Last Thursday I received an e-mail.
I was just saying to WW a few days earlier that I had never won this kind of contest. I can't remember what triggered the conversation, but I remember telling him, I joined two contests not long ago, but I didn't win any of them!
And then this e-mail arrived... I could hardly believe it, I told myself, just wait until you get the CD... lol
Actually I should have received the CD last Friday...but they left a card saying that no one was at home when they came to make the delivery. (WW was home but he didn't hear anyone calling...we don't have a doorbell!) So I asked them to send it to me at work, and I received the CD today.
Just listened to it, not bad, I guess. ^_^ Before this, the only song I knew from Gotye's album was Somebody That I Used To Know. After a first run through all the songs, I've found another good one, In Your Light. I'll see how it goes after listening to it a few more times...
Oh, and if you want to know more...the two contests I entered were both by The Star eCentral... the first one (which I wanted more, actually) was for a Train CD (I know more of Train's songs and most of them are nice), and the second was for this one. Both contests only needed answers to two questions (or was it three?) and no slogan. So I just gave it a shot!

It's too cold outside for angels to fly
I was listening to Lite.FM in the car...and just before I was going to turn off the engine, a song came on. The music was really nice...sort of sweet and happy. I listened to it for a while...trying to figure out the title, but couldn't... So I grabbed a piece of paper and jotted down a few lines that I caught from the lyrics, to be able to find the song later. And here it is! Ed Sheeran's The A Team.
After watching the video, I realised that the song isn't so happy after all... :/ I guess a lot of songs are that way, because no one would listen to a song with a dark message unless if the music caught their attention first...like this song did mine.
In any case...it's too good not to share. So I hope you like it!

The Hulk - Smash!
A conversation at work.
They somehow got to talking about destroying stuff. (I can't remember what...was it the plastic casing I was taking apart? Because C asked me why I was being so careful. But I'm not sure whether it was this conversation... lol)
Anyway C's philosophy is that we don't have to be careful with stuff. Then the conversation went something like this:
B: Then why don't you go and take your car and smash it?
C: Then I have to repair it...if you drive your car here I can smash it.
B: I can't drive my car here for you...I can only bring it.
C: Ceh, so you want to buy a toy car for me to smash?
B: No, not buy it...I'll just pick it out from the trash.
Kekeke...
(Psst... the title is from the movie The Avengers...where the others (Captain America to be precise, I think) told the Hulk to "Smash!" Since that's what he does best... :P )

Of censorship overdone
Have you heard the song It Will Rain by Bruno Mars? The lyrics start like this:
If you ever leave me, baby,
Leave some morphine at my door
'Cause it would take a whole lot of medication
To realize what we used to have,
We don't have it anymore.
Lately I heard the song on the radio, with the word "morphine" missing. It sounds really strange because I'm already used to the original version! Anyway, it makes me think...why censor this word? Morphine is a drug...but so are so many other medication... As far as I know, morphine is a rather common painkiller that is prescribed by doctors...
This also reminds me of how this same word was censored in a TV show from my childhood, Mighty Morphine Power Rangers! Remember that, anyone? :P It was muted out when the theme song played at the beginning of the show. And it sounded awful, like a broken record with sound missing for a second or so, a few times. (This was also after the theme song had already been playing fully for ages)
Anyway, that censorship on Power Rangers was actually how I found out that morphine was a drug. And when I think about it...sometimes censorship is the reason why children would find out that something is forbidden. And when they find out that it's forbidden...well, you know what they say about forbidden fruit...
Better to just leave the word as it is...after all, morphine is really innocent enough...it all depends on how you use it. Like knives...you don't let a child NOT know that it exists...instead, you tell them to be careful with it!

A detour and a find
Yesterday I went to town with a friend...so we decided to take our breakfast there. I ordered curry mee, and when it arrived, it looked so nice, I decided to take a photo.
The curry was different from the usual curry mee we get in Penang...maybe more towards the curry mee we find in Kuantan. Pity I didn't know that when I ordered...the seller asked me, "meehoon mee?" and I said yes. If I had known, I would have asked for mee only...
RM2.60. And with the prawns and cuttlefish, I'm happy... hehe.
At the beginning we were planning to go to the famous Pulau Tikus area...but we couldn't find any parking space. So we decided to go a little further along Burma Road...and we found this coffee shop (sorry, I can't remember the name...but I can find it again! lol) It was almost empty when we arrived...but as we ate, more and more people arrived and by the time we left, someone was waiting for our table. Hmm...are all these people like us, coming here as a second choice since there was no more place to park near the more famous eateries? :P
Not that I would go there especially for this again...it's too far away! But at least I know it's there...if ever we're in the area and have difficulty finding a parking space again...

Who ate my veggies?!
Now this was from last weekend...but I didn't get around to writing about it.
I had bought vegetables from the market...two bunches of them. (and by "bunch" I mean the bunch they grow in naturally...not any bunches tied up by the vegetable seller! :P )
Then when I was separating the leaves out to clean, I noticed that the inner leaves were filled with holes...
Who ate my veggies?!?! lol
(Hehe...that's a parody (if we can call that a parody) of Who stole my cheese? - or maybe it was Who moved my cheese?)
So...I'm not quite sure why the bugs only chose to eat the smaller leaves and not the bigger ones...did the mother bugs lay eggs in the middle of the plant? (I kept expecting to find a bug or a worm inside there... -_- ) Or did the bugs learn that the outer leaves kill, because they are covered in pesticide??
I guess the only way to find out would be to ask those who ate my veggies... provided I can find them first. :P (but if I found them...I'd probably crush them before having the chance to ask any questions)

Shy bear
Ooh...I've fallen in love yet again.
Well? What did you expect?
But again, I had to leave it behind... *sniff sniff* (the price was RM55 in case you're wondering)
It was wonderfully soft! The body was really thin though...it was soft mainly because of the fur and not because of any filling! Maybe you can see from the photo that I was squeezing all the breath out of it...if it had breath, that is. :P
There was a ribbon around its neck...the dark brown thing that you can see near my hand. And on the ribbon was written: Shy bear. I guess that's why its hands are like that! (yeah, they're sewn together that way...that was what drew me to the teddy bear in the first place) If you peek under those arms, you will see its eyes...
It's a little strange, isn't it...last time I wore a Winnie the Pooh t-shirt and saw a Winnie the Pooh, and this time I wear a teddy bear t-shirt and I see a teddy bear! I should wear teddy bear t-shirts more often... (or maybe not, to avoid temptation... :P )
(Oh yeah...this was in Gurney Plaza...please someone buy it for me...please please :P )

Word verification or photo verification?
I was reading a blog and I wanted to leave a comment. At the bottom of the comment form, there was a word verification field to prove that I wasn't a spam bot.
Er... What is that on the left?? How do we type it out?
I thought it was a strange photo that had somehow made its way into the word-image files...but the next few photos were the same! It was always a combination of a "normal" word and a photo of some object with some kind of symbol on it. (usually there are two word-images)
Then finally I got this one:
At last, something I can actually read! lol
So that's what the photos are supposed to be... Well, good luck with the first one, though. :P
