CR84FN #15

For my JUGS post, please click HERE :)

Boy, do we have a fun color palette for you at CR84FN this week!!!

Told ya! Fabulous or what?!?!
These colors just make you feel good all over! Cheery and bright - I'm so sure some of you all in the snow-covered regions of North America can use bright and cheery right about now :)

Spring and flowers came to mind when looking at these colors. I'd love to say that this card was my first attempt...but my pants would be on fire right now (liar, liar...) LOL! I tried TWO other cards but just wasn't as happy with the results. I managed to alter one of them and get it to a point where I liked it well enough. Sometimes the ideas are just better in your head!!! I crocheted these cute little blooms (so easy!). I used embroidery thread (size 10) so they're pretty tiny, perfect for a card. If any of you like to crochet, step-by-step instructions can be found HERE. I then pierced the cardstock and hand stitched the stems and leaves. The sentiment "smile" from DeNami Design seemed perfect :) This card just makes me so happy! I was thinking these flowers would such a cute framed piece too.. hmmmm....

Here's another take (one of my first two attempts that I altered some :)).

Another crocheted flower - I've been having a blast experimenting with these.

Ok bleeps - that's all for now :)

Hop on over to visit the other fabulous CR84FN DT - their links are on my sidebar :) Remember to also visit the sweet and talented Stella Schenkel, our guest DT for the month of February!

Spotlight! - JUGS #71

SATURDAY!!!!  This week has been a LONG and BUSY one!!! How happy I am to see the end of it :)

We've got a brand new technique challenge for you over at Just Us Girls!

I love me some spotlighting! I really do love this technique, mostly because it's a way to add awesome impact to a card.

I went pretty CAS with this one. I wanted it to be sort of stark and a bit lonely just to give the sentiment more impact. But with the berry sorbet and the polka dots, it's not all gloomy and lonely. It gives it a touch of cheeriness too.

That's it for me :) Swing by and say hi to our talented guest designer for February, Lori from Afternoon's Delight. Also take a moment to swing by the blogs of the rest of the always wonderful JUGS DT! Their links are in my sidebar to the right :)

Enjoy your weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!

With All My Heart: DeNami Product Spotlight

For my CR84FN post, click HERE.
For my DeNami Product Challenge Twine post, click HERE.

We've got another fabulous stamp to show you in the DeNami Product Spotlight!!!
And to highlight this lovely sentiment, I paired it with the small heart outline and the small scalloped heart

I stamped the small heart outline five times on red cardstock and once on magenta cardstock then cut them out with scissors.  I stamped the small scalloped heart four times on kraft and twice on white cardstock. I masked out the "heart" from the sentiment and placed an actual heart in it's place. Easy peasy :)

I used hot pink grosgrain ribbon and a white scalloped border to finish off the card.

Small hot cinnamon hearts fill a small Boutique Box from DeNami. What a sweet little gift (that packs a little punch... I tried those cinnamon hearts... ooooweeee!). Actually, now that I look at the box, it seems as if a few more of those little hearts could fit in there...

Thanks so much for taking the time to swing by and visit! I sure do appreciate it!!! Head over to the DeNami blog to see more projects from the uber talented DeNami DT as well as our February guest DT,  Kim Wilson!!! Leave 'em some love!!!
