How cool is this???? I love the way this book came together, and it isn't even finished . . . or together . . . just yet! There are four pages, of course, and the pages get progressively larger. The first page, the "L", is the only one that has holes punched (and jumbo brads) for now, but I'll eventually add pictures, journaling, and embellishments to the whole thing. I just haven't figured out what I want to do with it. I had an idea, but Chadrick--politely, yet adamantly--asked me not to go with that idea. ;-) I used the Cricut and DesignStudio software to cut each of the pages from thin chipboard and then cut each letter/page two more times from designer paper so I could cover the front and back of each page. For this, I used a decoupage glue. One the front and back of each page, I used a sanding block on the edges to distress them a bit. This word book is 6" tall, and the largest page ("E") is 11" wide. SU products used to create this book include "Outlaw" designer paper (retired), jumbo antique eyelets, and the Crop-a-Dile. BTW, the "Eastern Sky" designer paper in the current SU catalog has the same patterns/designs as the retired "Outlaw" designer paper--it just has different colors.

STEP RIGHT UP!
And hand me your order for these AWESOME Rub-Ons! I stayed up late last night putting the finishing touches on this card, and I had the best time! Goodness! These little morsels can just about be rubbed onto ANYTHING! As you can tell by this card, I used black and white designs on the clear button (I don't know what happened to the "g" in "thing" . . . it's probably rubbed onto the countertop or something . . . LOL), but doesn't the white design look great on the ribbon? I wasn't sure how that was going to turn out, but I'm impressed! I used a sheet of Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper to cover the chipboard heart and then sanded (distressed) the edges with a sanding block. I backed the clear button with the other side (dotted design) of that same designer paper so it would coordinate with the ribbon strip.

FALL FLOWERS
It seems like I've been working on Christmas projects for quite a while now and skipped the Fall season. Of course, Mother Nature tried to skip it, too. I have to remind myself that Thanksgiving hasn't even come yet! So, to celebrate Fall, I created this assortment of flowers. I doubt if birds actually build nests in flower pots, but this pot has two nests. ;-)
These flowers were made from SU's "Fall Flowers" designer paper, which is just gorgeous! The flower centers were created with a mix of products . . . punches, designer paper, chipboard, etc. I had a lot of fun making this project! The flowers are made like the paper stars except you don't make any cuts to the top and bottom of the accordion-folded paper.
REMINDER: SU is having a Paper Party, and you're invited!!! When you purchase three packs of designer paper, SU will let you choose a fourth pack FREE! That's a pretty nice party favor, huh?
