Had a very meaningful and happy day today. Went to the Jurongeast sports complex to volunteer for their countdown party. I thought taking the morning shift(10-5pm) was not fun at all while taking the night shift (5-1am) was better as we can countdown, but after i was there, I think it was great! I was given a tag that read" 2006 D-Party PRODUCTION CREW" See that? production crew sia... so proud wif that tag on. With that on, walk walk, wind will blow... ma yi yah hee, ma yi yah hoo..(sorry... was listening to tis song when i typed tis para).
was given a red tee, but din wear... but i think wif my white polo(assigned attire), the tag looked more obvious. hahaah...
Was assigned to an aircon multipurpose hall with games like darts, chinese chess, international chess and carom. I played wif many ppl, and even thought Jan how to play Chinese chess, then later slack at the registration counter to give out freebies.
Made friends wif a guy who was 1 of e organiser. good man. as he invited me to some kueh lapis, i shall call him mr kueh lapis. I laughed @ e way he ate his kueh lapis. He blur blur asked why i laughed at him eat. of course i suan him by saying his eating mtd v funi. he was always smiling when i saw him. v friendly. was playing darts as nobody was playing, then asked mr kueh lapis to name a no. I hit it after 2 tries. hit bulls eye oso. he oso asked me to take the freebies. hahaah...free one, of course i take (steal). It's a mutipurpose tool. wif spoon, fork, knife etc...seemed useful, but troublesome to use and dangerous.
Next i want to introduce is an old couple from china. living in spore for 3 yrs, i asked him which is better: spore or china. after asking this, i realised that it is politically wrong. but then, that cute ah pek gave a model ans.but then he said we r not as knowledgeable and then apologised. we played carom and instead of saying "hao wan" he said "ting hao de".
when slacking @ e registration counter, i saw 1 ah mah eyeing the freebie. i asked her to register for the dart game then i give her. but she say she duno how to play. As a kind person, i say i would give it to her without playing. she replied that i am so gd to her, so she register. i jokingly told her not to tell anybody.
There was a silly clown. Think he onli took his clowning licence recently as he onli know how to juggle pins, juggle red balls, juggle orange balls and spin a plate. tad means he onli know 2 tricks lah, even though e thingys he juggled were of different colours everytime. But duno why, kids were so attracted to him.
This event allowed me to interact wif e public and wif SP students i nvr met before. so meaningful, will not forget. this is a great way to end 2005.

My Brother Playing Badminton
This is my brother. I sabo him by uploading his picture into my blog. hahaha... I expected him to be really surprised when he saw that, but I was the one who was SURPRISED. He looked at me with a bored expression, and said" Chey... what's so special about this?". He immediately walked away, leaving me in total darkness -_-"

Distribution of fliers in action!
Went to distribute fliers on mon. It was a great experience. Can see different kinds of ppl wif different actions when they saw me. Was standing in front of an escalator @ Toa Payoh's air-conditioned interchange -cum- mall distributing in action. In the 2.5 hour, I managed to hit on who will take n who will not. Proudly can say bout 70% accurate.
To those who want to take up distribution of fliers as a career( wonder if anyone will be willing to take up this career) , here's some tips from me:
Who to give?
To those who want to take up distribution of fliers as a career( wonder if anyone will be willing to take up this career) , here's some tips from me:
Who to give?
- people who are smiling when they are approching your direction.
- Old folks (dun care if the flier can be of any use to them)
- Little kids with parents
- Men ( realised that working men took a whole lot more than working ladies)
- People who are waiting for their turn to get onto the escalator (they have the time for you)
Some surprises...
- An old lady turn to me when i handed her the flier wif a smile and said wu liao( nth better to do) to me.
- An Indian lady approached me. I gave her one, she asked for another for her friend.
- A father wif 3 kids approached me. I take this opportunity to clear the stacks. I gave the 3 kids a flier each.
- I managed to give out 3 pcs @ 1 shot from time to time so that i can clear the stacks. ( should have given more @ 1 shot)
- A pcs of flier dropped when i gave it to a girl. I picked it up, she was gone. She should have waited mah... if she had waited, she would be helping me.
*PS 1: always say thankyou as when ppl hear the words, they are more willing to take ur fliers. I should have counted how many thankyouzZz i had repeated.
*PS 2: To all out there, pls do a gd deed. Take the fliers if ppl offer them to you. thankyou :)
