Food Storage Anyone?
I don't know about anyone else but I'm feeling even stronger to find a way to get our food storage more organized and more full. I've tried to do things in the past but I only get so far and I seem to not refill what I've used. Well in my searching I found a great source......dealstomeals.com!! I signed up for the two week trial to make sure that it's going to be something that my family can benefit from. It's only $4.95 a month. Just take a look at what they provide before you say that it's something that you don't need. Hope that this helps.

Savings!!!
Okay so I met my friend Kim in town this morning for Albertson's Double Days. (which will be going all week.) I just had so share what I purchased and saved.
WHAT I WOULD HAVE SPENT: $154.24!!!!!!!(that's why I don't shop at Albertson's)
WHAT I SAVED: $80.64 ($10 MAIL IN REBATE ON NABISCO CRACKERS)
WHAT I SPENT: $63.60
I know that it doesn't look like much but I was able to buy items that I don't usually buy like chocolate chips, Chex, and 10 boxes of crackers!! I know you're probably thinking that I'm crazy to buy soooooo many boxes of crackers but with them being on sale, plus coupons, plus the doubles, plus the $10 mail in.......It was a great deal. Now I have some fun things for the holidays.
After just a week and one trip I've learned one thing fast......clip what you know you'll use and stick with that!! It can save me money but I can also get to crazy and purchase things I don't really need.
I have a lot to learn yet but It was fun. Happy Thanksgiving.

Coupons....Coupons......Coupons!!!!
A friend of mine showed me a little about coupon shopping and how I'm hooked! I haven't tried it out yet, but just looking at a bunch of blogs and studying. My hope is to be able to save food money each month. I can see my self going crazy with it so I'm setting a goal that what ever money I save each month goes into savings. (getting our savings up is my main goal.) Wish me luck and if you have any tips send them my way.

Fun With Visitors
Last week (I can't believe that it's been a week) Aunt Jill & Uncle Cody came to Twin Falls for a visit! We had such a great time. Starting with shopping, Cody took the kids to Tilt. They killed ants with guns, broke teeth off a clown, raced cars & earned tickets! It was great. They still talk about it. The next day we went to Hop 2 It!! They had a ton of fun sliding, jumping, & bating. Andrew & Carter both earned a free Pizza with the reading program Book-it. So we waited for them to come to cash them in. Cody had a great idea to go to the movie "The Christmas Carol." So we had a dinner & movie night. It was very tasty. It had been years since I eaten there. The movie was a fun one too. A couple scary parts for Carter but they laughed a ton & LOVED the 3-D. We tried to take a picture of them with the glasses on but it was to dark. They were so stinking cute. Jill & Cody Thanks for staying with us & being so patient with our early mornings(really early that week being the first week with the time change), the "NO"s, bonking,(from Hy-Hy),& spike the snake(that's what they named him Jill!). Thanks for all the memories!

Then Halloween day we went and bought Andrew his pet (i'll post pics later) Then headed to the city park for trick or treating. It was great they fed free hot dogs and juice. We also sent the boys through the Haunted stage the school had going it was funny to see the kids get spooked.(only a little grandmas:)

I love Fall Time!
I love this time of year. The things that I love the most are these.....decorating the house with fall leaves, pumpkins, bats, spiders, and ghosts. The boys love it, So therefore I love it. Being able to throw on a hoodie and not die of heat stroke is a big plus. (I could live in a hoodie they're so cozy:) Sipping hot chocolate, making soup again, and baking bread doesn't cause me to turn on the AC. I love costumes....if I could blow a ton of money I would on costumes, strange I know but I've always loved what throwing on a funky pair of purple polyester bell bottoms can make you do on the dance floor!
I've always had good intentions to carve pumpkins as a family but it always seemed like we were to busy so we would just end up painting them. This year the boys are old enough that I thought we'd try the real deal. They loved it. It took them a long time cleaning out the guts (which We didn't mind at all;) Then McKay and I helped them with the rest.
Andrew didn't like the smell at first at all but he still cleaned it all out without complaining. They both worked really hard to get all the guts, and "nuts" as they call them, out. It was hard work but they did it together and stayed on task getting the job done.
I asked them both what their favorite thing about there pumpkin was Andrew said " I like when it glowed." Carter said "I like about the smiley face and everything."
McKay and I love the boys so much. They make us laugh. Especially when they're tucked in bed and we're reminiscing about the day reenacting the funny things done and said. This was such a fun way to spend time with them. I think that we will be carving pumpkins every year!
These last pictures are of crafts that were from fun church activities but just got put away for a couple months(the picture block) or a year (the Halloween blocks)nobody has done that before right:) I just thought I'd show ya what I worked on this weekend.

Andrew turned SIX!! We spent the morning of Andrew's big day with the Hampton's. We all made a wonderful breakfast, visited & watched Andrew open up presents. He got all ready for school by getting school clothes from Aunt Jill Uncle Cody, Grandma & pa, & his mom & dad. Grandpa knows how much Andrew loves to look & learn about animals he subscribed him to the National Geographic for Kids. Thanks Everyone!
Then we went to our Womack family reunion. It was at a cabin in kilgore. Andrew celebrated his birthday by fishing(the fish practically jumped out of the water:) , hiking, rides on the four wheelers, eating pizza his favorite, & opening presents. His Grandma knows how much he loves to build stuff so he got a kit for a log house, and sailboat. He was able to decorate his tool tote with grandma. Thanks. It was a great birthday that he'll never forget!

This is how Hyrum has been getting around this summer! Total strangers would stop us laughing & comment on how cute his little bear crawl was.
The second video was the first night that he really started to walk. He was on one. So silly that night! He had McKay & I laughing so much. Man I love this kid!
We were able to sign Andrew up for Jr. Golf this year. Grandpa Hampton gave him some clubs for Christmas & just being down the road it was really convenient. Andrew loved it. I really think that it was a great opportunity for him to learn & I think that we'll do it again. Next year it can be with both boys.....Fun! These are pictures of Andrew on his last day of Golf. They had a little three hole tournament for his age group. He won a metal, & I bought him a pop afterward. He was so excited.
We have the best neighbors! To our left is Mrs. Cheri & Mr. Ron. Cheri tends for a family when they need some help. So we've had some friends this summer to hang out with. They invited us to go have a little hike & picnic up to Magic Mountain. It's the local place to Ski. It was great. My boys love Mrs. Cheri's dog named Harley.
We had a couple of freak storms this summer. This one was by far the worst. I know that hail can get a lot bigger than this but this was the biggest that I'd ever seen. So we captured it. Our neighbor later showed us the damage that the hail storm did to their house siding. He also told us that on the news the storm was a small tornado in the South Hills(which are really close to us) It's all because of that darn global warning! :)
Flowers were a new part of our lives this year. With purchasing the new home we new there were roses in the front but we didn't realize all the flowers that were getting ready to bloom and surprise us. I loved being surprised with the daffodils and the lilacs. One afternoon I was surprised with a knock on my door. I answered it and found only a single rose. It was the first of the roses and they were found in the back by my sweet Andrew. The rest of the summer has been as sweet, they are always finding some flower to share with me. I love you boys and thanks for braving the thorns and bees for me.
I participated in a workout class at CSI for a few months. I was in pretty good shape so I decided to run the falls to falls run. It's a 6.5 mile run. The first five mins of any workout is rough but this one was really hard I thought because it was all up hill out of the canyon!! All in all I completed the race and I learned a whole lot about myself while going through this class, while making some great friends. Thanks McKay for your sacrifice, & taking care of the kids. I couldn't have done it with out your love and continued support. I still have a ways to go to meet my goals but I knowing that you're here for me means so much.
Jason Graduated!!! It was so great to see my little BIG bro graduate. He's such a great kid. I love him so much and sometimes I wish that I could have been at home longer while he was growing up. I think that I really missed out cause we have had some great memories when he was little, and you really get that when you are all at home. Well Jason I love you and I'm proud to be your sister. Thanks for the example that you are for my kids.
