There was one problem, however - totally on my part - I was using the Blogger classic template, so I had to upgrade my blog first. O – Overnight hospital stay – besides the 2 childbirths; 2 more: hysterectomy and spinal surgery (just this past February)

P – Pet Peeve – there are really so many, I think they really all boils down to people who are MEAN; i.e. yelling/rude to kids/old people/animals; nasty driving; talking in movies; cell phones at restaurants; general inconsiderateness (do I sound like a Bi**h???)

Q – Quote that you like most – Walt Disney, "I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse."

R – Right or left handed – right-handed

S – Siblings – two older sisters; one younger sisters (none speak to me - their loss, so says my therapist & the hubs, love that man!!)

T – Time you wake up – (after 2/3 times during the night) 8:00, doggie has to pee-pee, again the hubs takes him out; I blog in bed until around noon (hubby brings me breakfast in bed, he IS the best man on the planet - no offense)

U – Underwear – ummm, it is a little warm here?!?!?!? TMI

V – Vegetable you dislike – GREEN PEAS!!!!! Mushy little balls of GROSS!!!!!

W – What makes you run late – it's hard for me to get ready to do anything because of limited mobility and pain, and I never seem to give myself enough time, I am constantly dropping things and I get frustrated & depressed.

X – X-rays you’ve had – every conceivable part of my body - scary, when you made me think about it -- thanks :-(

Y – Yummy food you make – I just mix things, no names for them: a sausage/pasta dish; chicken/pasta dish... oh, yea, my husband loves my lasagna and my baked ziti (believe it or not I'm Irish, NOT Italian)

Z – Zoo animal – I live near Disney World, so go to Animal Kingdom all the time and love to see the Gorillas and the tigers. Plus we have deer, wild turkeys, wild boar, alligators, and lots of little critters right around our home because our house backs up to conservation land. It is terrific!!

'Tis the Season...... for LIGHTENING!!!!

With summer upon us, I just wanted to take the time out to remind everyone to be careful during Thunderstorms. I Have a Blog Helper!!!!

Doesn't he look like he is smiling?

I'm so excited, I have help keeping up with my blog now. He's a little slow at the typing, but you'll have to give him a break, he is a little lacking in one respect -- THUMBS. What he lacks in skill however, he certainly makes up for in zeal and LOVE!! Nano, the Yorkie, is always right there by my side, either under my desk when I'm at the desktop, or on my lap when I'm using the laptop -- a feat in itself, or on the bed or couch when I am working while lying down. A more faithful companion one could NEVER ask for!!! Aside from Bill and my children, I couldn't love anyone more!

After a long morning of blogging, we fell asleep and Bill caught us napping on the chair, he thought it was adorable, so he snapped a picture. Such a sweetie-pie. I got very lucky when I got the hubs, the kids, and Nano.

Just thought I'd share a little bit of my day with you. Hope you are enjoying your summer.

Peter Pan Dance Recital

We went to our friends' Mark & Martha's daughters' dance recital of couple of Sunday's ago, and what a terrific time we had. Both the girls were in LEAD ROLES, and we could see why they were picked when we got to the recital. The company put on a version of "Peter Pan". Kyra played the part of "Mr. Smee" among other parts in the recital and she was magnificent!! Ashley was little "Michael" and we were amazed at how wonderful and theatrical she was. They both took to their parts like pros. I know their parents were extremely proud of both the girls and could be seen by their beaming eyes and huge smiles. The most important thing that I noticed about both girls was that they really seemed to be having FUN!! We all went to dinner after; the girls grandparents, step-sister, niece, aunt, yada yada yada all came to the show, too. It was REALLY a fabulous evening.


We stayed at their house for 5 days after the recital actually, they live on the gulf coast of Florida and the drive is almost 2 hours. It is really a killer on my back! I usually recline 3/4 of the way, but it is still awfully hard on me. Nano is a super car traveler, he LOVES to go for rides in the car and just loves to visit with the girls. This was his first time meeting their dog Wesley, but the two of them hit it off right away, they became really good friends (almost too good). They played almost all day long, but that led to them both sleeping soundly all night long. Nano loved being outside around the pool, which of course so did me & Bill. Swimming in warm water is super for my back as is just floating there, floating on my back is the only time I have no pain in my neck - I just LOVE that, NO PAIN!!!! If only I could find a way to do that all the time!! ;-)


The girls had a special soccer camp with coaches from England and Australia which they just adored. They were on "teams" from different "countries" so they had to learn facts about each of their countries. I think (if I remember right) Kyra's was Spain, and Ashley's was Italy - forgive me girls if I got it wrong. They were so good about learning their facts and doing all their soccer "homework", they even spray-painted their hair each day yellow (Kyra) and blue (Ashley) before practice. They looked adorable, and worked so hard - I was so proud of them, they are both so talented and special, both Bill and I love them to bits!! The last day of the soccer camp the kids were going to play against the adults in a match, but I've texted Mark about who won a couple of times about who won, and haven't heard back, so I'm guessing it was the kids..... but you can't quote me on that.

We hope to visit again this summer for more pool side fun and maybe go to the beach, I love the gulf-coast beaches, and maybe they will come over here to visit us and go to Disney World. I love taking the girls to DW, it gives me a chance to be a kid again.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

I just want to wish you all a very Happy Father's Day. To all the Father's, Grandfather's and to the most wonderful step-father in the world that I know... BILL...hope your day is filled with love, laughter and joy.

Remember any man can be a father... it takes a special man to be a DAD.... I know my boys feel that Bill has really become a DAD to them and I want everyone to know it. He has been there for them when they were happy, sad, scared, or just as a friend. He has helped them fix their bikes, make Christmas ornaments at those very little tables in the Elementary school cafeteria, gone to all their school concerts, art shows, open houses, etc. He was there when Nikolaus graduated from Basic training in the VERY cold weather at Fort Benning in GA. Bill stood proud with me as Nik was named outstanding soldier of the cycle and recited the Soldier's Creed. Bill was there at City Hall to see Alex's artwork on display, one of 10 picked from all the city.

So..... Bill, from Nikolaus, Alex and I we wish you a very Happy Father's Day and we love you very much!!

New Website I Learned About

Hey everyone.... this blogger I just found out about http://msmodern.com/ turned me onto this FABULOUS site where you can get these terrific journals, or whatever you want to use them for.
