Amazing! That is the first word that comes to mind when I think about this trip. We went to Bear Lake with Wayne's family for a couple of days and had the best time. Kim and Laurie rented this gorgeous home and it came fully loaded. We headed up on a Sunday night and hung out, had dinner and played games. The next day we went to the beach and played. We also rented a jet ski and took turns riding it all day. Tanna and Koda had a blast on the jet ski and loved playing in the sand. Cash was a little hesitant about the water but loved laying on the beach and getting spoiled. On Tuesday we visited the area and then later went to the beach again. We were there for about a 1/2 hour and then wind and rain came and we were out of there. Headed back to the house for dinner and then Wayne, Cash and I headed for home. Tanna and Koda stayed an extra night with Grandma and Grandpa, according to them it was the best vacation ever. I'm not sure what was better, the house or the food. We ate really well while up there, pretty sure i came home a size bigger, which was totally worth it.

Lake Shore Homecoming
One of my favorite memories growing up was the Homecoming celebration in Lake Shore. We have always tried to attend with the kids, but this year I decided they were going to fully partake of the celebration. Anyone who grew up there is welcome to come back and do the parade and Tanna and Koda were all about being in a parade. The theme for the year was "Hats Off" so we did a float with some cousins: Kasen, Adi, Hallie & Alisa and did "Hats off to our ancestors" We decided it would be fun to dress up as chicken farmers and do our float around that. We built it the day before and rode in the parade Saturday morning. We bought a ton of candy and the kids had a blast throwing it while doing the parade. After the parade they did a boutique, and a ton of games. Tanna and Koda had a blast! We even won a gold fish named Jack. There was also a lunch and a program. After many hours of fun and playing it was over. I'm so glad my kids were able to do something I did as a child and I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did.
The best part about the parade is getting a $.50 piece just for participating... LOVE IT
