Merry Christmas

This year was a big milestone for us in the Marshall home. This was the first year that the twins were not afraid of Santa and actually sat on his lap and told him what they wanted. Every year before was a scream fest and it just ended up with me on Santa's lap relaying to him what the kids wanted.

For Christmas eve we had my parents over and had a crab leg dinner with all of the fixings. After dinner we watched Mickey's Christmas Carol and wrote letters to Santa. The kids opened up one gift which was Christmas pajamas. We also put carrots out for the reindeer. It was a great night.

Christmas morning we woke up around 8:00am and the kids were so excited. We waited patiently at the top of the stairs while dad turned on lights and got the camera ready. We had a great time opening presents from each other and playing with out new toys. That morning we went to my parent's house and had breakfast and opened our presents from them. Later we visited cousins' houses and then had lunch at our house with Wayne's family. We spent the rest of the day with visitors and having fun playing with our toys and being with family.

Fun in the snow

The kids are so excited that it finally snowed. They have been playing for 3 days straight. We got them shovels and they love to shovel. We also went tubing and had a great time. The kids are at the perfect age to basically do it themselves and we just watched. Although we did go down a couple of times to join in the fun.

Festival of trees

A couple of my friends and I decided to go to the festival of trees and out to dinner. Our close friend Heather who passed away this year had a tree in the festival which was done by her husband and family. It was absolutely gorgeous and fit her personality perfect. Later we went to dinner at Olive Garden which was Heather's favorite place to eat. It was a great night to catch up and reminisce about old times.
