Swimming Lessons

First day of swimming lessons. We were a little nervous that they wouldn't want to do it. We spent most of the morning talking about it and explaining to them that Mommy wouldn't be in the water with him. As you can see they did great. Tanna just loved it. She would've went down the slide 10 more times if they would've let her. Koda enjoyed playing with all of the water toys.

Best Friends

The last little while Tanna & Koda have become the best of friends....
they've always been friends but they've also been worst of enemies.
The last couple of months they are glued to each other  and  always play together
and they're starting to work things out themselves when
they have little fights.

Project Basement

We decided in December to finish our basement. We figured that things were cheap right now and so we got going after Christmas. Hoping to be done by May it turns out it takes a little bit longer when you do most of the stuff by yourself.  We've had some great help from friends & family but we've been on our own with the paint and it's taken a little bit longer than we anticipated. We are hoping to be done for the kids birthday. July 28th....

This is our talented painter priming the basement. Not sure which got more paint Wayne or the walls.

Our little helpers! They just had to help because they are experienced painters now.

This is a before picture and hopefully soon we'll have an after picture

June 2008

This month has been exciting and really busy. We got home from our Nebraska & South Dakota trip. The kids are still talking about Mount Rushmore and Tanna loves to tell the story about her going down the water slides all by herself at Evan's Plunge. A couple of days after getting home we went to Beaver for the weekend to see The Robert's Family and go to a birthday party. A couple days after that I left for Girl's Camp and was gone for 4 days. It was really fun but really good to be home and in my own bed. Grandma Marshall came and watched the kids and they absolutely loved it. It was really nice to have her here with Wayne doing commissions and working so much time. Hopefully the rest of the month will slow down and we can start to enjoy the summer.

Mount Rushmore

We had a great time in Rapid City. The first night we were there we headed up to Mount Rushmore to see them turn on the lights and low and behold there was fog and we couldn't see a thing. The next day we went to the Reptile Gardens and then to Mount Rushmore. AFter spending a couple of hours there we went to the Rushmore Cave and spent an hour there. I thought the kids would freak out but they were the first in line at the Cave. The next day we went to a maze that had different stages to complete it was really fun but the kids were exhausted after it was over. The we started to head home and made a stop at Hot Springs, SD. WE went to a place called Evan's Plunge. It was a hot springs and they had a huge pool with 3 big slides. It was so much fun! Tanna wanted to ride the slides all day and she wouldn't let anyone go down with her. Koda was a little more timid and preferred to ride with Mom or Dad. We stayed for a couple of hours and then headed back to North Platte where there was a Tornado warning for most of the state.
