...Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows that we know and holds us responsible to act. Prov. 24:12

Happy Father's Day

DADDY! Oh did ya ever think you'd be spending your days and nights sharing your life with such sweet blessings! There's nothing like watching all my boys together. I am so thankful for such a wonderful husband and loving Daddy. The boys had a special day with their daddy swimming and just hanging together. Then we all went to see Toy Story, followed by their nightly story from Sam. This is a special time they have together each night. He has always been so great about reading, telling stories and spending time with them as he puts them to  bed. They absolutely love it! Really they look forward to it all day. I am just so thankful for the man God has blessed our family with. He has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. We are truly blessed to have him leading our family! We love you Daddy!

I want to add a little story I heard a few days ago...The lead singer from Casting Crowns was talking about his little girl's adoption. He said when he and his wife went to pick up their daughter and saw her for the first time, it was really emotional. For all of the obvious reasons like meeting their daughter for the very first time but  very emotional for him because she was afraid of him. See, she had never seen a man before. Living in the orphanage there were only women caring for the children. He went on to say how he was just heart broken because after days of being together he still couldn't hold his daughter. She would allow him to give her things but still he couldn't hold her. He said he just prayed, God why would you lay this on our hearts and bring us all the way here, thousands of miles away and now she won't even let me hold her? She'll take things from me but she won't let me hold her! He went on to say God said to him, how does it feel that she'll take things from you but won't let her hold her? Isn't that similar to your relationship with me? WOW...isn't that what we do to God sometimes? We'll gladly take things from Him but what He really wants is to hold us! Our heavenly father just wants to hold us!!!! How amazing is that!

The story has a happy ending of course...he did get to hold his daughter and  now she's the first to greet him when he gets home each day. It just really got my attention. Hopefully it will help someone else see things in a little different light too!

Pickwick

We spent the weekend with the Shipp's at Pickwick and had the best time! Really, we miss them so much and were thrilled to get to spend the whole weekend with them. They are such dear friends and we are so thankful for them. The kids definitely had a blast and us parents, wait that makes us sound so mature...where did all these kids come from? Ha!!!! I do think that sometimes. As Nanny always says, well i just don't feel a bit older! Anyway...we did get some very good visiting in! So needed a good visit with our friends. Amazing how God uses others to speak truth into our lives. Love that about Him!

Looks like this could be trouble! They absolutely loved the
paddle boat. The would have paddled away into the sunset if we would have allowed them to!

Yep! No fear...As you can see Coulson had a large time at Pickwick! Here are just a few of big c enjoying the water!

Harper had a blast at Pickwick! Loved everything about it! Just a few cute snaps from our weekend!

I just had to add this...LOVE this!

Memorial Day

Our sweet friends, the Lesley's invited us to go out on their boat with them for Memorial Day. So thankful for such great friends! Well, as you can see Coulson had a fantastic time! He loved being on the knee board and tube. He's of course not afraid of anything so he was really cutting up! I think I even heard him trash talking the driver a little...FASTER, FASTER! Like father, like son! What can I say! I hope he does something amazing with his boldness one day! I can only pray that he makes much of his life to further God's kingdom!

Harper had the best time! Oh he loved being on the boat! He was beside himself all day! He loved swimming in the lake and riding the tube but wasn't too sure about going all by his lonesome! Sweet thing...amazing how different these two boys are. One just as precious as the other, just so different. Guess that's what makes life interesting we are ALL different. All special children of God. He made each of us with his mighty hands. Amazing when you think about it...The same hands that made the earth, moon and stars made us! WOW! He didn't need us...just wanted to share His love with us.

Poor Daddy! Think he's getting the bad end of this deal!! Ha!

Summer Baseball

Harper is LOVIN baseball this year! He's really pumped about being on the Giant's team. He is quite the baseball player! Look at this sweet pic I snapped while they were praying after the game...so thankful for moments like this when we can see Jesus glorified in the midst of all the confusion!

Coulson had a game last night...woohoo! He played great and was so excited to score a run!!!!
Yay Coulson! It was so funny as the teams were telling each other good game, there was a quiet moment when I heard a player saying, "Man that was a great game! Who won?" Loved that!!! Love it that most of them are just there to have fun...not a care in the world! I'm really trying to enjoy these days because they won't last for long...

Big 5K Graduate!

Oh I cannot believe it! Coulson had his program today. He was Daniel in the program and did such a great job! I'm so proud of that little man! He has grown leaps and bounds this year! It's amazing! I won't get too sappy but I have to give him a little praise! I am so proud to be his momma and I am so thankful God has given us this precious child! He is so special and I can just imagine God smiling when he made each and every quality. I love this little boy more than I ever could have imagined...What blows my mind is that the love I have for him is tiny in comparison to the love our Lord has for us! Thank you Lord for loving me!!!! And I pray God will give me the strength to love others with His perspective!

Silly Boys

Our Garden

We are so excited about our garden! The boys are really enjoying watching everything come out! It's really pretty neat to see things grow from a tiny seed into these beautiful plants producing fruits and veggies. I guess it's the farmer in my blood! No really, it is amazing to see God's work. Especially in the eyes of these children! Reminds me that we must feed our souls so that we will grow to produce goodness too! Spend time with your heavenly Father today!!!!

He's such a sweet little man. Growing up way too fast...he told me tonight he was proud I was his mama!!! Melted my heart...God is good and has blessed us with these special little boys. I am so thankful!!!
