Frosty Images for a Muggy June Day

We have a blog hop coming up on July 4th (Christmas in July), and you won't want to miss it!!

I have been playing around with some Christmas images from FTH.  I will be making more, so here are a couple I can share with you a little early, but don't forget to stop back and see the rest on July 4th!!  I just adore these Seven Christmas Birds, and Faith's example image was so much fun to try and duplicate.  I think I will make a ton more like this for my Christmas cards this year.  :)

Inky Hugs and cooler nights to you all! :)  Hoping these wintery images help you feel a little cooler if you are having muggy days/nights as well.

Entering these cards quickly into Lisa D's 12 month Christmas link-up.  If you haven't started making your Christmas cards yet, you may want to get a jump on them and link up at Lisa's page here too!  You get a free Christmas digi paper each month that you complete at least 2 cards - now that's incentive!!

Birthday Pick-me-Up

Here's a quick little pickup for a pick-me-up birthday card! :)
I have quite a few friends and family with June birthdays, and a few of them are guys.  So, along with the Father's Day cards, a few masculine birthday cards are in order.
and with all the great colors needed on this image from the balloons to the packages, I really wanted the image to remain the focal point of the card.  I hope y'all like it too! :)

Card Details:  Birthday Pickup, SU bashful blue cs dry embossed with the Spots and Dots
folder, Happy Birthday tag stamp from SU, stamped in Real Red and punched out with the small
tag punch, dark blue grosgrain and red satin ribbon as well as 3 small silver brads and coloring done
with Copics  (B29, B18, B14, B04, B02, B00, Y11, Y13, Y21, Y33, R29, R09, YG09, YG07, V06 and BV04).

Chillin in the Pool and Exciting News!

Hey there, readers and friends!!

I have created this first card for Imagine That's June SOTM Challenge! :)  What a sweet penguin set perfect for so many different cards - Chillin' with your friends, Father's Day, Thinking of You, etc.  The set is called "Poolside Penguins," and if you didn't receive it in your email for playing along last week, please let Kris know.  You can still join us by purchasing this cute set for $3 right now in Kris' store (or purchase $10 and mention you would like Poolside Penguins in the comment section to receive it for free), play along with us in the challenge, and then next month you will receive the July set for free and so on until the end of the year .. What a great deal, I say!! :)  These progressive challenges are so much fun - just one purchase, and as long as you play every month, you win another free image/set.  I LOVE them!

Card Details:  Bashful blue cs dry embossed with spots and dots folder, Pool layer, waves and polka dots are from the Summer Fun digi papers, accented with Copics B00 and B18.  My Mind's Eye cloud scraps cut with my 1" circle punch and penguins layered with the Spellbinders' Classic large ovals and scalloped oval sets.

The second card is the first one that I have created for my Guest Designer position with From The Heart Stamps design team!!  Yaaay!  I am so thrilled that Faith, Imke et al have chosen me to be on the team for the next two months!! :D

If you haven't noticed, I have been creating a lot of beach theme cards lately.  I guess it is because I have the beach on my mind ... can't wait for our vacation the end of July in which we will be heading out to a NJ beach.  My first time ever in New Jersey, so I will have to post some photos and let you know how it went :)

Card Details:  The digi image on this card is from From The Heart Stamps Wind Song colored with Copic markers (B00, B02, B18, B29, YR16, Y18, Y13 and Y11).  Card base is just Neenah white cs, then Stampin Up's brilliant blue layer in the background, SU Summer Sun used for the sun cut-out, accented with Y18 Copic marker.  My Mind's Eye cloud scraps cut with my 1" circle punch, larger dotted circle cut out from a cool pattern on my Kleenex box (saved for a while now), layers cut out with the Spellbinders' classic rectangles and scalloped rectangles sets, wave strip from Summer Fun digi paper scrap.
For the card above, I have used Sketch 69 without the twist (One for the Kids).  You can see the sketch below and play along with us at I {Heart} Sketches! :)

I would also like to add these to the following challenges:
Simply Create Too - Father's Day or For Male
Sweet Stampin Challenge - Father's Day/Special Man
Delightful Sketches - It's A Guy Thing

Inky Hugs,

P.S. - Don't miss the Blog Hop coming up from the Design team of From The Heart Stamps on Friday, June 6th!! I am sure there will be a LOT to LOVE!
