Where IS your Workdesk Wednesday?

(I didn't want to be left out.)

That's because so far there is nothing on my workdesk, but the studio has new flooring and has been painted and I've built (as in IKEA-built) all my new furniture.

Notice how nice and clean it all is?

(Except for the cords under the computer, but I haven't been able to get on line yet,

so that's why THAT is a mess.)

Well, here's the deal.

By next Wednesday, there should be something new on my desk, something creative.

I feel like I've been in withdrawal, not being able to create anything, for one reason or another.

The dry spell is over.

WooHoo!

BTW, this is my current studio, not the one I'm moving into in October.

I have a new computer, although I lost all of my digital files.

SIGH

( I do need to give a big shout out to the Deviant Scrap site, however-

They allowed me to re-download all of the files I had purchased and lost! 

Other sites were not so cooperative. 

Too bad, so sad, they said, we don't care, you need to buy it all again.)

I've missed blogging SO MUCH, I can't even tell you.

I thought I would do a quick post just to let you know I am coming up for air.

You'll notice there IS no Workdesk.

You're absolutely right.

I have gotten rid of all the mishmash of old furniture which was in my studio

and built all new white Ikea modular pieces.It's gorgeous.

On Friday, lumber is being delivered and early next week, a new hardwood floor is being put in.

So that I can sell the joint.

That being said, I haven't been able to create anything and that makes me very sad.

But I bought a new condo OUT OF THE CITY and that makes me very happy.

But I'll be one more hour away from my kid and that makes me very sad.

But it's up on a ridge with a view of the mountains and that makes me very happy.

This has been very emotional.

Can you tell?

Anyways, that's my workdesk.

Nothing there.

But there will be.

I'll be 'round to visit you as soon as I can.

Bye for now.



A quick Note

to let you know my computer has crashed and so I won't be able to post until it's fixed.

I'll miss everyone until then.

WOYWWED?

The LO is for a real live paper-and-glue challenge which I take part in each month, that is, of course if I get it finished in time.  The nail polish?  Well, that's just one of the many things I am sending my dear daughter home with as we clean out my condo to ready it for sale.

Shape up for the holidays

I've been really busy fixing up my condo to sell, while my daughter is here to help me.

So I'm hardly getting anything made these days.

BUT I got a few things done and this Christmas card is one of them.

It's for the

Jingle Belles Challenge

which I adore and try to participate in every week.

The challenge is to involve a shape.

The trick is using your friend's borrowed Cricut and making this card in 10 minutes flat.

Now THIS is my kind of Christmas card!  lol

Fun Friday

What can I say?  The other night I was waiting for my cold medication to kick in.  I made this.

I think my medication HAD kicked in, now that I look at it.

I won't give any credits, don't want to embarrass the artists who made the elements I used.

I really want to post something

But this cold has got me down for the count.  I can't remember when I last made something. All the challenges I love doing are on hold until I feel better.  Just a stupid cold, but here it is 9PM and I'm going to bed.

(That's way early for me.)

A good friend lent me her Cricut (can you believe it!!!!!!!) and I cut a few things and then sat down to rest.

So even though this is not new, here is a piece I finished awhile back and never showed you:

Let's see.  The frame came from a thrift store and I added some broken china crackle paint to it.

Coloured a canvas with (I think it was) shabby shutters ink. Stamped the word on it with a Paper Parachute stamp.  (Aren't you impressed that I knew that?  I usually don't, after all.)

I won the dichroic heart in the One World, One Heart event from The Art Junk Gypsy and Bottle Cap Inc. provided the image which I put inside the cap and crackled.

Paper backing behind the canvas and the ATC.

The ATC itself is a piece of metal flashing run through my cuttlebug with a Timmie embossing folder, then I blotted it with various alcohol inks and cut it into strips.  Wove the strips together in a mismash and VOILA!

Something to fill that empty spot on my living room wall.

OK.

I'm done whining.

Night night.

2. _I'm not saying I did, but if I ever smoked_ weed _I certainly would not have inhaled_.

3. My straight hair _got curly after my daughter was born.  Isn't that weird_?

4. _My elementary school_ reunion _would likely require a wheelchair ramp_.

5. My favorite summer fruits _are raspberries and I wish I could sneak back into the yard of the house I used to own and steal some_.

6. _CRASH!!!._..what was that?

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _seeing a friend_, tomorrow my plans include _making a decent meal for my daughter's arrival in town_ and Sunday, I want to _spackle all the holes in my walls_!

I got nothin' to show you today.  Been out of town for a few days, and have one of those horrible summertime colds besides.  My mojo has taken a time out. 

I am, however, purging my entire condo with a mind to selling and downsizing in the fall, so it's not like I'm doing NOTHING.

Just nothing fun.

Nor creative.
