This week's smiles....week 512

It's a quick visit from me today with a few smiles from my week because we are off on our adventures again this weekend.....so please forgive me if I can't leave comments because of internet access.

This made me smile this week...if you look closely you can see where the tulips have been but following the rain we had this week all the petals have dropped off...so until next year that's all from them for now.

Little Louie has been with us Wednesday and Thursday this week and, as always he likes to snuggle on his Grandad's knee for his nap but on Wednesday he had almost snuggled down the side of the chair....I'm guessing he was more comfortable that he looked lol

Milly likes to chase the pigeons out of the garden but this week we had a stand off!!  The pigeon refused to move for her and they stood staring each other out for ages.  :-)

The other thing I have to share today is a few funnies.

I hope you have all had a good week and will share your smiles by linking up below.

Hugs,

This week's smiles....week 306

Another week has passed and, as always, I'm chasing my tail with work.  I'm in the middle of making 6 Memory bears with a further 6 due through my door at any point so it's a quick round up of smiles this week....

At the weekend Amy, Dave. their 3 children plus their friends with their 2 boys had a couple of nights at the Welsh coast and yes it was cold and windy but it didn't stop these 5 donning their coats, hats, wellies and gloves to enjoy fun on the beach and making a sand castle....the weather never gets in the way of their fun and that always makes me smile.

On Wednesday night Lulu went to a birthday party which included pony rides....of course she had a wonderful time and would really like one of her own now. :-)

It's been really cold here lately and we have treated Milly to a waterproof coat....here she is trying it on and she seems very happy with it.

Yesterday morning was the coldest day of the year here and the ground outside was frozen hard but just look at the tulips shooting up through the gravel....isn't nature wonderful?

And finally I saw this on Facebook this week and for a moment thought it was Jo's dishwasher....she has so much wool I thought she had been hiding it again :-)

I hope you have found something here that has made you smile too and will now link up to your own smiles below.

Have a good week and stay warm and safe wherever you are.

This week's smiles......week 269

It's not been the easiest of weeks here at Sewing by Annie's but at times like this I know that spending a little time searching out the smiles does me good so this is what I'm sharing today.....

As many of you have commented of the lovely new header on my blog I felt I just had to share our tulips in all their glory.....If those don't make you smile then I have a feeling nothing will but here's my next smile....

It looks like we have a little budding gardener in the making....little Theo is enjoying pushing his wheel barrow around his other Grandparent's garden.  What a cutie eh?

Finally I thought I'd give you a giggle with this pic.  I have had many orders for my Memory bears this week and was fast running out of stuffing.  As one of the pending orders is for possibly 21 bears I thought I'd best order double what I normally order.  Instead of 2kg  I ordered 4 kg and it arrived this week.  The bag is so compressed that I'm almost afraid to open it.  I'm imagining it bursting out and filling my sewing room.....Gives a whole new meaning to living on a cloud doesn't it?

Well I really hope I've made you smile this week. I'd really love to share your smiles too so please link yours below and brighten my week too.

This week's smiles...... week 66

We have now reached 66 weeks of wonderful happy postings.....thanks to all that have taken part.  Some pop in most weeks to join in and some only share now and then but I love them all.  They make us smile and lift the spirits....and that's got to be good for us hasn't it?.....keep up the good work girls.

This week I am featuring Sylvia's blog with the latest addition to the new grandbabies in the blogging world....a huge welcome to little Savannah....isn't she just gorgeous?  Thanks for sharing Sylvia.

I've been filling my days this week with positive thoughts to lift the 'moving house' gloom that has been hanging over us and have really needed to look no further than the gorgeous colours that surround us here in our garden.  I have just popped outside and snapped away with my camera to share just a few of them with you....

I dare you not to be smiling now. :-)

There are blue bells, white bells, forget me nots [ my dad's fav flower and it would have been his 94th birthday on 17th April ], lilac, crab apple blossom, miniature daffs, pink double tulips, rosemary in full bloom and in the middle is the gorgeous raspberry ripple azalea that Jo bought us for our 32nd Wedding anniversary on April 17th [yes we got married on Dad's birthday :-) ].  What gorgeous colours eh?  I have so much to smile about.  I hope you will find a snap or two of what's making you smile this week and link them below to share yours with us.

This week's smiles....week 60

Hello all...are you still smiling?  My motto is 'why not smile?'  Even when all around you looks pretty bleak a smile will still make you feel better so give it a go.....and you know smiles are contagious so not only will you feel better but it will improve someone else's day too.  :-)

Thanks to all of you who joined in the fun last week....I really enjoyed so many giggles and smiles by sharing your posts.
Thanks girls for sharing them all with us....I'd really like to feature all that joined in but those were my favourites for this week.

I've had a week of poorly family members this week.  Shell has had tonsillitis and was really rough so I've had the twins to give her a chance to rest and recover as the Dr decided it was a virus and wouldn't give her antibiotics.  Pool little Lexi is rough with as she calls it a 'snotty nose nanny!' and now has swollen glands and a cough so is also feeling pretty miserable.

Even through all this we have still had lots to smile about...

I keep a look out in our local charity shops for new jigsaws and this week I managed to pick up a 100 piece one for aged 6+ with nursery rhymes characters all over it.  Needless to say the twins can already do it and can also recite most of the nursery rhymes on it  :-)

They really love their jigsaws and it's so special to see them working together to complete them.  The conversations are just priceless between them while they are doing them too.

So many happy moments shared.  :-)

The other pic I'm sharing is one of my gorgeous tulips.  I just love spring flowers don't you?
I now have daffodils and tulips in a vase too given to me by my little munchkins and their mummy for helping out this week....more to smile about eh?

Thanks for dropping in this week to share my happy post.  Please snap something that has made you smile this week and share yours by linking below.

A promising post....

I hear you saying....Why is this 'A promising post'?    What is she promising now?  :-)

Well I have started my day off well this morning and hoped to share a few positive thoughts with you.  I opened my curtains to see a slight blanket of white on the ground in the churchyard opposite our house and just has to go and investigate.  This is what I found...

Go on click on the picture for a closer look cos there really is so much promise just in that one picture.  I have then snapped just a few of the clumps that were out slightly further.

Aren't they so pretty ?  .....and each one comes full of promise of warmer weather on its way.....yes, Spring really is just around the corner.  Yahoooooo

Then as I walked back up our front garden I spotted yet more promise.

These are Bluebells shooting skyward......

....and Tulips emerging from their wintry home.....

......and Daffodil bulbs making steady progress upwards.

Oh and the promise doesn't stop there for me  :-)

This is my 'to do' rail first thing this morning.  Shhhhh don't tell anyone 'cos they will all come running to fill it for me.  Do you think it means I will have time to 'play ' today?  Would be nice.

S from Snaps and Snippets asked to see the posh floaty dress I was working on yesterday so here is a quick snap of it.  It''s an evening dress but would make a really pretty Wedding dress too.

So my friends,  a post full of promise to share with you all today.  Hope you have a great day and come back soon.
