This week's smiles...... week 66

We have now reached 66 weeks of wonderful happy postings.....thanks to all that have taken part.  Some pop in most weeks to join in and some only share now and then but I love them all.  They make us smile and lift the spirits....and that's got to be good for us hasn't it?.....keep up the good work girls.

This week I am featuring Sylvia's blog with the latest addition to the new grandbabies in the blogging world....a huge welcome to little Savannah....isn't she just gorgeous?  Thanks for sharing Sylvia.

I've been filling my days this week with positive thoughts to lift the 'moving house' gloom that has been hanging over us and have really needed to look no further than the gorgeous colours that surround us here in our garden.  I have just popped outside and snapped away with my camera to share just a few of them with you....

I dare you not to be smiling now. :-)

There are blue bells, white bells, forget me nots [ my dad's fav flower and it would have been his 94th birthday on 17th April ], lilac, crab apple blossom, miniature daffs, pink double tulips, rosemary in full bloom and in the middle is the gorgeous raspberry ripple azalea that Jo bought us for our 32nd Wedding anniversary on April 17th [yes we got married on Dad's birthday :-) ].  What gorgeous colours eh?  I have so much to smile about.  I hope you will find a snap or two of what's making you smile this week and link them below to share yours with us.

WOYWW

Happy Wednesday to one and all of you WOYWWers.  Another fab week has passed with all the excitement of the Royal Wedding and a bank holiday with gorgeous weather to enjoy a few days off.
Firstly I would like to show you a few pics of crafty creating.

This is my latest finished little knittie.  I now have a white hoodie to knit for one of my customers before I knit the next for the family.  Both daughters have their gender scans on 14th so I will know more what colours to knit then  :-)  I've been asked to go with the eldest daughter to see the scan so am really excited at seeing the babies.

Wedding season has started here too and I already have a wedding dress and set of bridesmaids here to alter.  This bride has chosen to have her bridesmaids all in different colours and what a pretty choice of colours she has made.
Having missed yet another funday Monday Twiglet and I decided we needed to have a funday Tuesday this week instead so she joined me for a creative day yesterday.  I was seriously missing creative crafting time so I had my embellisher set up by the time she arrived and surrounded myself with dumfing inspiration [ for those that still don't know what dumfing is please click on the link to the right to find out more  :-)  ].

I really enjoyed a creative day and was proud of my efforts having dumfed a picture using the inspiration all around me....hope you like my bluebell woods pic.  I may well tweak it a little yet before I finally frame it properly but I rather like how it's going.
What a fabulous weekend we all had weather wise.  My darling hubby and I spent most of it in the garden pulling weeds, tidying up the flower beds and generally having a good sort out of sheds etc.

Here you can see how my hubby has cut a doorway into the weeping willow so that the children can use it as a play tent / hidey hole.  They haven't seen it yet but I know I would have loved playing in there when I was little.

The wisteria is now out in full bloom and smells just wonderful.....if only I wasn't suffering hay fever.  :-(

These are some of the blue bells in the back garden with our deep red peony on the right just coming into bloom.  Maybe you can see where my inspiration for my dumfing came from now  :-)

Thanks for popping by and for all your wonderful comments.  I do hope you will now pop over to Julia's and join in the WOYWW madness but be warned cos it is addictive  :-)

A promising post....

I hear you saying....Why is this 'A promising post'?    What is she promising now?  :-)

Well I have started my day off well this morning and hoped to share a few positive thoughts with you.  I opened my curtains to see a slight blanket of white on the ground in the churchyard opposite our house and just has to go and investigate.  This is what I found...

Go on click on the picture for a closer look cos there really is so much promise just in that one picture.  I have then snapped just a few of the clumps that were out slightly further.

Aren't they so pretty ?  .....and each one comes full of promise of warmer weather on its way.....yes, Spring really is just around the corner.  Yahoooooo

Then as I walked back up our front garden I spotted yet more promise.

These are Bluebells shooting skyward......

....and Tulips emerging from their wintry home.....

......and Daffodil bulbs making steady progress upwards.

Oh and the promise doesn't stop there for me  :-)

This is my 'to do' rail first thing this morning.  Shhhhh don't tell anyone 'cos they will all come running to fill it for me.  Do you think it means I will have time to 'play ' today?  Would be nice.

S from Snaps and Snippets asked to see the posh floaty dress I was working on yesterday so here is a quick snap of it.  It''s an evening dress but would make a really pretty Wedding dress too.

So my friends,  a post full of promise to share with you all today.  Hope you have a great day and come back soon.
