Living with Covid-19 as endemic
Covid-19 had been with us since it landed itself on the shores of Singapore in early 2020. As I have several medical conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, eczema, psoriasis, psoriasis arthritis and sinus, I had been extra careful to avoid crowded areas and people. Thankfully, I managed to get my vaccination completed in July 2021 and my booster shot in Jan 2022. The most unfortunate case of 2022 is that I was tested positive on 12 Feb 2022. The irony is that I still feel blessed and protected by God. I could have gotten it in early 2020, or even 2021 before I could've gotten my shots. I only caught it one month after my booster was done. The feeling wasn't great but it wasn't morbid either. It was like a very bad case of flu for me and I am still surviving well with just a tad of disturbed sleep. This made me realise the importance of the vaccine and boosters and appreciated them more.
