Featured on Houzz.

Have you ever been to Houzz?
It's like having a dozen interior design magazines at your finger tips.
Big thanks to Lily for her feature on our house over the weekend.

Thanks also for all the comments everyone left.
I was also quite surprised on the amount of feedback people left about their feelings for this shower curtain from Urban Outfitters.
Apparently, It really rubs some people the wrong way which made me giggle.
See feature here.

Whatever Lola wants...

When the school announced they would be having a "Wacky Hair Day" I thought some temporary hair color on the boy would be fun.

This isn't exactly what I had in mind.

It lasted for two days.

Indulging.

This is about all that's on my agenda today.

Because I'm pregnant.

Sure, I'll regret this decision in 3 months.

Oh well.

In the mood for a Picnik?

Over a year ago I was in the market for some photo editing software. Everyone recommended Photoshop Elements which is basically the beginner version of Photoshop. It costs less with less bells and whistles but still does the job. I've watched hours of online videos explaining how to use it and I still get frustrated so I rarely used it.

Last week I stumbled on to Picnik, a free, online photo editing software and let me tell you...

It. Is. Sick.

("Sick" is slang for "awesome", mom).

Being the amatuer that I am I love that it's free and very user-friendly.

Check out what I've been toying around with:

After using "CinemaScope feature":

Thanks Picnik!

Change needed.

I've got the winter blues.

The kind of blues where the cold makes everything feel stark and drab.

Life could use some brightening.

Something that says "hot and flashy."

Ahhh. Now that's better.

Who knew the cure to the winter doldrums was contained in a can of spray paint?

Welcome new sponsor.

Three Men and a Lady would like to welcome our newest sponsor, Stitches by Lou Ann.

Lou Ann is one of those talented people who can produce a masterpiece with (my) very vague instructions. Here's the latest project she recently completed for me.

I saw some very cool pillows on the tv show Giuliana and Bill and set out to reproduce them (which I later found out were from Jonathan Adler's store). I sewed some black linen pillow cases, put some blue painters tape on them with my vision, sent them to Lou Ann and said, "run with it." I love what she came up with.

She also embroidered the numbers on these stockings for me this past Christmas which I received a lot of questions about.

I'm thinking of having her monogram some towels or pillow cases next such as...

(via Lonny).

(via Bazaar of Serendipity).

Lou Ann can do just about anything you can dream up from embroidery, monogramming, quilting, sewing and she even does custom teddy bears. She also doesn't charge a digitizing fee so go check her out here!

Nesting: (verb) Feeling the need to prepare for the arrival of the baby by cleaning, organizing, etc.

And when exactly is that instinct supposed to kick in?

My new old / new ride.

Over a decade ago my boyfriend (at the time) bought this bike at a garage sale. Suprising because that boyfriend (who turned in to my husband) would rather go to the dentist then go to a garage sale. This bike has been with us ever since, collecting a lot of rust on every square inch. I wondered if I could work a little magic on it.
BEFORE.

I used a lot of elbow grease, rust remover, primer and paint to give it a face lift.

I also replaced the chain, seat and tires.
AFTER.

As you can see I finished this puppy just in time to keep my ever growing baby bump in check.
