I love garlic bread

I just finished eating dinner, I made lasagna and garlic bread. I must say, I love garlic bread.

I went home early from work today because I have a bad sore throat. I stopped by an urgent care place to get it checked. I was expecting a long wait in the waiting room because I didn't make an appointment. But I wasn't expecting to be taken to a room and sit there for 45 minutes! It was rough. Me and my emotional self almost broke in tears because I wasn't feeling well. Then I thought, how spoiled are we that we have good health care and I was getting upset for "waiting" for it. Made me count my blessings.
Anyhow, they said I did not have strep, so I guess that is a good thing although my throat still hurts pretty bad. I ended up getting a flu shot which I really needed. So we'll see... I hope I start feeling better.

On a funny note, one of my students said something funny yesterday. Let me preface the story. I was teaching Math and was toward the end of my lesson when the baby starting kicking so hard that some of my students saw my shirt move. This sparked a 10 minute conversation about the baby. I love how the students are so interested in me and the baby. So anyhow, toward the end of this conversation one of my darling students said, "Mrs. W, I know why you have to pee so much!" I said, "Oh really?" He said, "Yeah, because the baby is sitting on your blubber." I laughed and said, "You mean, bladder?" He said, "yeah, bladder." It was funny!!!!! One of those things that you probably had to be there for to grasp the hilarity.
Today when I was leaving because I didn't feel so good a girl came up to me practically in tears and said, "If you have strep, will the baby live?" It just broke my heart. The kids are so concerned about me and the baby. I had to explain that I would be fine. I just love my kids and it will be hard to leave them.

Well thats it for now. I can hardly believe that our bundle of joy will be here so soon!
p.s. I watched a live labor video... that did not make me excited about that part ;) hee hee.
p.s.s. I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have so much fun and he is the love of my life. I am SO blessed to have him!!

Surprising fun times

So, i'm sorry that when I do write it is about our baby... but that is one of the biggest things going on in my life right now, so I love writing about that joy! Well, mom and I decided a few weeks ago to clean out the room that will become the nursery. Well today was the day. She arrived at 8:30 this morning and we worked for 2 hours straight organizing and cleaning. (Basically that was the junk room... we just threw stuff in that room and walked away) We had recruited my in-laws to come help carry some stuff like a desk and a table and chairs out. Well little did I know they all had a surprise up their sleeves. We finished getting the room cleaned out and I was getting ready to go to lunch and they come walking in with our crib and our dresser/changing table!!!!! I had no idea they were planning on buying it and bringing it today to set up! It was SO exciting!!! So then we had to put together the crib and whatnot, so the room is set up! I knew we were cleaning out the room, but I didn't know they had planned to set up the nursery as well. So needless to say it was a pleasant surprise. After we went to lunch and they all left, I went in our little boy's room and starting putting clothes and things away. It was exciting. I still need some stuff, but it is AMAZING to see the Lord provide through people. Basically we've been offered practically brand new things like: a stroller, another stroller, 3 car seats, like 4 infant bathtubs, a jogger, and TONS of clothes. It has been amazing. I basically have my pick of the things I want. ha ha. God has really blessed me and shown me that HE will provide our every need if we would just trust him. This is a good lesson, especially when my husband thinks now is the time to move to Morrisville. He is actively now pursuing the move. Job hunting, house hunting and all of that. I am just letting him take the lead because I know he is in tune with what he feels the Lord is telling him to do. So that is a great trusting lesson. OH, and I can't forget to mention that God completely blessed my conversation with my principal about not returning this school year. Through that conversation I found out she was a Christian and she was SO supportive of me and said she would love to have me back next year if I felt it was right to return and even if I wanted a part time position she would be willing to work with me. So anyhow, I pretty much cried at the end of our talk because it went so incredibly well and also crying is all I do these days. Ha ha. I am definitely a cryer. No bad moods or anything like that, just a cry and then a laugh. My husband laughs because he knows that sometimes I just need to bawl and then he will say something to make me laugh and my emotional moment is over. How funny. Well that is all I want to say for now... looking forward to Thanksgiving break and time with family and friends.

Little blessings

I don't write as much any more because life is crazy. Our little boy is kicking so much and I absolutely love it. There is no greater feeling than to feel our son moving around inside. I am just constantly amazed at the way God chose to design our bodies and make LIFE! Our boy is a big boy! He is a week ahead of "schedule". Which is a huge blessing because we would rather him be too big than too small. With my blood clotting disorder, if he was measuring small then that would mean I might have a blood clot in the placenta or umbilical cord and that would not be good.
So I had my first shower this past weekend. It was SOOOOO much fun! I got some great stuff and it made me excited all over again. I came home and washed all the clothes, wash rags, towels, spit up blankets, etc. I loved taking each thing out of the drier and imagine my son wearing or using them. How fun! I know I won't be saying how fun in a few months when he is here and screaming his head off ;) ha ha.
On a fun note, I love my class and I will miss them when I leave. I was teaching my kids metaphors which is comparing two things using like or as. I had written some examples on the board like, "Night is as dark as a black cat" etc,. Then it was the kids turn to take a few minutes and think of their own in their notebooks. I then had sharing time. So I called on one student who read, "Cars are as fast as lightening." I said, good good. Then I called on another student who read, "Dogs are as soft as cotton." Then I came to one of my jewls, who held up his notebook with pride and read, "Mrs. W is as big as a cow." HAAAAAAAAAAAA, I just laughed and laughed. Then I told him he had to be careful that pregnant ladies cry a lot and he just might make me sad. I love it!
God is so amazing and i'm in awe of how much he loves us!
