What's In YOUR Purse?

I'M TAGGING ANY AND ALL WHO READ THIS POST! (except those of you who I got this from...)
This was an easy-peasy tag that I thought was fun... that was until I really looked at my diaper bag which was pretty gross. I cannot wait to get a cute purse- a large one- to take place of my mommy-bag.
Here's the goods:
  • Greatest gift ever from Allison and her mom, a very versatile diaper bag. I say versatile since Taylor isn't ashamed to carry it around. It fits it all but it's not too big.
  • Dora the Explorer book
  • Ava's pink BlaBla monkey, Lollie
  • A couple of rattle toys for screaming management
  • Emergency stash of formula
  • One diaper, lot's of wipes and a changing pad
  • Pink fingernail polish- full of glitter, don't remember why I have it in the bag!
  • SEVEN lipglosses- yes, seven. It's a sick, sick compulsion
  • Like $30 worth of stamps- I seriously have no clue why, I don't ever mail things. Ever.
  • Checkbook and mini wallet
  • Coconut Lime Verbena hand lotion
  • Extra pacy
  • Band-Aids
  • Teething toys and Ava's Piggy Book/Handglove Puppet thingy
  • Gum
  • PureWorks, greatest hand sanitizer in the world
In conclusion: if you need a diaper out of my diaper bag, sorry- not gonna happen! But lip gloss? I've got ya covered. My very balanced life...
And here's a picture of Ava getting territorial with her things- such a pearl!

Happy Happy Easter

We Love Easter- I wish I could say that I think of the resurrection of our Lord more frequently throughout the year, but on this special day we can really reflect and truly feel blessed that we have the gift of the Atonement in our lives. Here are some pictures of Ava in her adorable Easter dress (thanks Beboo, we LOVE it!!!). She gave T and I her chocolates (had a little for herself, but Mom and Dad sure get handsy!) Just wishing all a very Happy Easter.

Illegal Usage Of Blog?

So, I don't think this exactly what the founding fathers of Blog-dom were thinking when they invented this awesome little world- but I have to show you my new set of.... MEASURING SPOONS!!! Seriously, I don't remember being so excited about spoons in my life, but these are a thing of wonder! I love the uniqueness of the long handles and crazy-bright colors. There's even an itty-bitty spoon that's called "pinch"! If I were a song-writer, I'd make up a love ballad.
This is such a big deal to me that I did TWO posts in one day, now that's just freaky!

Growing Fast!

Ack! Ava's getting so big, I just can't believe it!!! So here are some great new things our little girl is up to:

1. Teeth... lots and lots. Since January, Ava's been sprouting little chompers like crazy. The count is up to 6 pearly whites now- two on bottom and four (all at the same dreadful time...) on top. I love them cause they're so dang cute. But a major shock when I stick my finger in her mouth, she clamps down Hard!
2. Yoga girl. Ava's been standing up on her own since about 8 and a half months old (did you catch the subtle brag? I'm so sneaky) but no steps yet. But lately she's all about the Downward Facing Dog pose. She'll stand up, bend over at the waist and make a bridge, with her booty sticking straight up in the air. Then she'll laugh and laugh as she views the world upside down. So much fun!
3. Ava's first ponytail!! If you know me at all, you'll know that I think the sweetest thing is a little girl with pigtails in her hair. The other day, she woke up from a nap with the craziest hair ever- like Doc in Back to the Future. I pulled out my own hair band and threw her few hairs into her very first ponytail. It's looks nutty, but I'm so excited she's finally getting enough hair to play with!!
4. Climb, climb, climb like a little goat. Ava can make anything and everything into her own adventure- it scares Taylor half to death sometimes!

At the gym...

I laughed until I cried

Ava's first game of TAG!!

Ooooo... I loved playing tag as a youngster (mostly cause I knew the rules and I am great a "hovering the base"). I am hoping Ava will catch on to the excitement! Well, this is officially my first time BlogTagging and I think I just make a list of special attributes of babygirl. Note: Jess, if I'm doing this wrong... reprimand me softly so as to spare my ego and never tell Ava when she grows up that I really Don't get the rules to Tag.
Alrighty...

1. Ava's full name is Ava Ryann Wilson. We have no special reasons for choosing the name except that we LOVE it! "Ava" is ultra-girly and classic (a.k.a. becoming so trendy now... oh so disappointing). "Ryann" really is her middle name and Yes, Dad, I know it's a boy's name, but I LIKE it!!! What I love is that her name flows so well!!! I'm already practicing for the future: "Ava Ryann Wilson, you stop flushing your cat down the toilet right now... or so help meeeeee"
2. Our little sugarbean has a three-inch thick lead "bubble". Meaning, don't get too close if she doesn't make the first move- or you'll get stiff-armed in the throat. I love that she's not afraid to let people know when to back off... that's my independent girl!
3. She's our exhibitionist. The second that diaper is off, so is Ava. She'll practically burn tracks in the carpet crawling away with her bare butt waving buh-bye to Mommy.
4. Ava really has a great sense of humor. If I put anything on my head that doesn't belong, such as a pair of pants, tights, a bowl, or a clean diaper, she laughs like a hysterical nut!!! I can't help but feel bad that I'm the best stand-up show she's seen. But I'm soaking it up now, because in a few years I'm afraid I'll go from the funniest person she knows to the most embarrassing!
5. Her favorite person in the world is her Daddy. I cannot even describe the swell in my chest when he walks in from work or school and Ava stops dead in her tracks and zooms to the door and is all smiles and dances and squeals as she waits to be scooped up by Dad.
6. We listen to music often and if there's a good beat, Ava won't hesitate to bust a move. She'll climb up and stand against a chair or couch and her chubby little legs will pump up and down and she's the youngest head banger I've ever known (and the cutest by far).
7. When the camera is out, Ava's all smiles and knows she's the subject. It's like she's posing to pay the rent! I have an impossible time putting the camera away.

Well, I'll stop there. Hope you got to know our Sweetface Dimpleberry a little better.
