China Cat found our Easter basket.
It was sitting in the family room.
I heard my Food Lady talking to China Cat
and I thought it might be a good idea for me
to get in on the action. I rushed over to see what was going on
and found China Cat sniffing some feathery bunny ears!Wow - I love sniffing and licking feathery things!
After checking out the bunny ears, I looked into the basket.
Oh, was I surprised!!!
Right inside that basket was a new purple feather pen.
It even had a plastic bunny on top of it. I had to get to that purple feather pen.
I was so excited
that I accidently pulled the basket over... OK, maybe it wasn't an "accident"
but I had to get those purple feathers.
So I dumped all the plastic eggs and plastic carrots
right onto the floor. And then I had the pen...look at these feathers...and look at the bunny on top... ~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~ this is such fun... I do so love feathers... What a great Easter Day!
I will have to finish my Easter pictures tomorrow.
Today I have my new purple feather pen with a bunny on top!

My Mardi Gras Tiara...

Mardi Gras is today
and here I am wearing my purple fish beads.

I love tuna so I let my Food Lady
put these purple fish beads around my neck.
I am laying on her hat in this picture
and I had been playing with the other beads too!
Then I became so tired, it being nap time and all...Then my Food Lady
brought in this tiara for me to wear...I wasn't sure about this idea
but since I was very sleepy,
I just left it on my head
while she took this picture of me.
I do look very royal with my tiara!Happy Mardi Gras!!!!!

No Mardi Gras for me!

The only thing it means to me is that
I will probably be forced to wear more feathers
and more jewelry and I think that I look
perfect just the way I am!Can't you see that I am totally ignoring it?!?!?
I'm not going to even look that way.
I know something is going on
and I'm still ignoring all of that stuff in the chair... I think that I heard something...
Maybe it's that way????

Toesday Today

Here I am sleeping
all curled up and snuggly on my birthday.
My Food Lady is baking my cake and
I asked for tuna for dinner!
Who wouldn't?!?!?!

Since it's still morning
I didn't get my cake, party or presents yet
but when the Big Janitor gets home
I get to have my party tonight!

So I will be able to share my birthday tomorrow...
On Valentine's Day!!!
Wow, two party days in a row for me!

Mardi Gras Pet Parade Today!

China was telling me that she overheard
my Food Lady talking about a Mardi Gras Pet Parade.
She said that's when all of the pets
(which are mostly dogs!) get dressed up
in purple, gold and green and
they parade together in the street.

I could not believe my ears!!!
She told me to watch out
because my Food Lady had alot
of spotted feathers in purple, gold and green.
I thought all of those feathers
might be fun to play with
but I peeked around the corner and
saw China did have feathers on her back!
And she was eating ham! So this feather idea might be good for me too.
It was - I went into the feathers and
my Food Lady gave me turkey. I Love Turkey! This doesn't mean that I am willing to dress up though!
I am also being careful to watch out
for the pink feather boa with hearts
that China saw in the living room!

Phil Says Spring is Right Around the Corner!

Phil's official forecast as read 2/2/07 at 7:28 a.m. at Gobbler's Knob:

El Nino has caused high winds, heavy snow, ice and freezing temperatures in the west.
Here in the East with much mild winter weather we have been blessed.

Global warming has caused a great debate.
This mild winter makes it seem just great.

On this Groundhog Day we think of one thing.
Will we have winter or will we have spring?

On Gobbler's Knob I see no shadow today.
I predict that early spring is on the way.

I was so happy to hear that Phil said Spring is on the way.
These are pictures from last Spring taken of me and China Cat. We weren't really looking for Phil -

There are always lots of birds and squirrels outside this window! And we all know what fun they are to watch from the inside! Being an indoor cat, I've never seen real ones up close.

And I know that neither one of us has ever seen a Groundhog.We can't wait for Spring and Warm Weather - Thanks Phil!

My Food Lady's Birthday Cake

My Food Lady made herself a Sunshine Birthday Cake. I was very interested and I watched her while she made it and decorated it. Then she lit all the candles with fire and put it on the hearth
so that I could see it too.

I snuck up on it from the side... Then I moved right in front of it.
I could feel the heat of all those candles - it was nice on my face. I wanted to sit there for a while with the warmth
but then she put down the flashy thing and blew them all out!
I hated the smoke and ran over to the rug and laid down.
What an exciting afternoon!

I love boxes!

After most of the presents were open, my Food Lady found me
laying on top of this big empty box. She thought that I looked very cute
so she took a quick picture of me. But then the Dad (aka the Big Janitor) said he would take a picture from the other side where he was sitting so everyone could see my face better. As you can see, I am smiling for the camera.They looked in the camera to see just how cute I looked.
Then the Food Lady turned toward me to take more pictures
and that's when it was discovered what I was really doing....
The red wrapped present on the box with me now
actually had China Cat's name on it.
Really I was innocent - I was just holding it
until she was ready to open it.They gave China Cat the present and I went inside the box.
But since the Food Lady again thought that I looked very cute,
as usual she had to take another picture of me
She sent my picture over to catsinboxes.com
and my picture was on there today.
So everything turned out fine! I love boxes!
