OUR THIRD GRADUATION

I don't know that I am ready but ready or not our third child Jordan is Graduating in next week.   It is a weird feeling to think that my kids are really getting that old and most of the time I still feel like I am in my twenties.

He is really excited to leave in the fall to attend Diesel Mechanic school in St. George.  This year he has taken the Wildland fire class and Firefighter I and II.   So he is a fireman for Kanab City.

These are some of the things he would like to accomplish over the next few years.
*Complete Diesel mechanic school and get a good job.
*Become a paramedic
*Get pilots license.
*learn to fly helicopters
*Eventually own his own mechanic shop.

Graduation is May 24th at 7:00pm at Kanab High School

Congratulations Jordan   YOU DID IT!!!

BOOSTERS AWARDS AND ACADEMIC AWARDS

Since Jordan was on the Track team this year he got his varisty letter for that at the awards assembly tonight.   After that they did the academic awards.   Jordan got a Scholarship award from the Kane Schools Trust.   It wasn't a whole bunch of money but every little bit helps.

LOOKS LIKE SHE MADE IT!!!

Last night Jessica Mae Willoughby graduated from Kanab High School. We had a great night. The graduation ceremony was great. After the graduates did their entrance we were blessed to hear the schools newest addition, The Bagpipes. It was wonderful it brought tears to my eyes. There were three seniors who played the bagpipes along with their teacher Merrilee Mickelson Terry (a Kanab Alumni). Great job Merrilee. It sounded great. She said that they just started in January it was amazing. After that we had the normal stuff which was all great all of the speakers were just great especially Forrest Kolle who was the Valedictorian. He is such a quite shy guy but he did a great job on his speach. All in all it was a great program.

LAST SOFTBALL GAME FOR JESSICA

Tonight Jessica played her last high school softball game. She pitched well and the team played better than they had for a while. But they couldn't pull off a win. For the most part the season was a good one. Winning isn't everything to me playing your best and having fun is more important. I know I am in the minority in my thinking. But to me whats the point in playing if you can't have fun and enjoy doing it.
It was also Senior night and it was fun to see them recognized. There were 4 of them. Jessica, Cassidie, Emily and Demi.
Here are some pictures of her pitching and hitting in the last couple of games. I sure will miss watching her.

We are on the 30 day count down to graduation. Some days I am sooo sad and some days I am thinking that August can't come soon enough. Those of you who have had seniors probably know what I am talking about.
