Help a Brother Out

A friend and ex-coworker of mine is in a blog war with his wife and not doing too well. So I am asking all of my blog readers to help him out. All you have to do is click HERE. He is a really funny guy so if you have time read some of his posts I will suggest one from last week called "A couple of tards" SO FUNNY!

Good Luck Mike.

A Moment of Genius

So the other day I was getting so frustrated with Jocelyn because she just figured out how to take her binky out of her mouth. The problem with this is that when I am trying to get her to sleep she will take the binky out and then cry because she doesn't have a binky in her mouth. So I was trying everything to figure out how to keep her from taking the binky out. I tried swaddling her so tight that she couldn't get her hands out (that just mad her scream) I tried holding the binky in her mouth (that also made her scream). Then I thought maybe I just need to find something to put in her hand so she can't take the binky out. But what is safe enough to put in your childs hand while they sleep? And that is when it came to me

Another Binky
I will put one in her mouth, wait for her to take it out and I pop the second one in.

It may seem obvious to some but I was pretty proud of myself when I thought of it.

Valentines Day

One of my favorite things about having a daughter is that I get to dress her up for all the holidays and Valentines was no exception. So here are a couple of cute pics of my little love bug on V-Day.She was also wearing some really cute red pants with heart shaped pockets but I couldn't get a good picture of them.

I wish I could could get her to smile in pics but it seems like as soon as I get the camera out all she does is stare at me with those big eyes.

Blog Slacker

I know I have been a huge slacker on updating my blog so bare with me while we do another super update.

SuperBowl Sunday we went to our friends house for the big game and I had a great time since I was the only Steelers fan there. Way to go Roethlisberger!

Everyone enjoying the game.

Daddy and Jocey

Jocey's new buddy Spencer

I just wanted to throw in this pic for a couple of reasons. Obviously because it is really cute and because this is where my little bug often falls asleep while I am doing my hair. I will put her in the boppy just outside the bathroom door and the blow dryer lulls her to sleep (so funny). Also I love this outfit with the matching hat I think she looks so adorable.

It seems like lately the only pics I post are of Jocey so I thought I would share one from one of the few nights out Brent & I have had recently. This was taken at one of the Jazz games we went to we had really good seats and of course they won. Go Jazz! I love a good basketball game.

Most Embarassing Moment

This is for Nicole

The location: 9th grade seminary class, right before class started.

Witnesses: My entire 9th grade seminary class, including the one boy I had been crushing on for over a year (he will remain nameless)

The Scenario: My good friend and I had seminary together I sat right behind her along the east wall of the classroom and the boy I liked sat right behind me. So the boy and I were chatting (*super excited*) I was sitting backward on top of my desk so I could look cool and talk to him. That was when my friend (trying to be funny) pushed me off of my desk. (so not funny) Now remember that I was sitting on my desk that was right along the wall. Yeah it was a long fall and my butt hit the floor hard as my head slammed into the wall. (Ouch)

I WAS MORTIFIED!!!!
Still trying to act cool I picked myself up off of the floor like it was no big deal. (it was a big deal) I grabbed my friend (I could have killed her) and we head to the bathroom and I start totally freaking out to her that this boy that I like had seen me fall to the floor so ungracefully and make a complete fool out of myself. Now keep in mind that we were in a Jr. High seminary building which only consists of 2 classrooms and a couple of bathrooms. After my little freak out (ok not so little) we head back to our classroom which was right next to the girls bathroom..........and as we walk in the entire class is staring at us, and that was when I realized that the bathrooms in the seminary building
ECHO!

Thats right the entire class had heard me yelling at my friend about how much I liked this boy and how embarrassing it was that he had seen me fall. (I was ready to crawl under a rock) It was a long walk back to my seat at the front of the class with my face beet red trying not to make eye contact with anyone.
