One Week Old!

I am a cute baby!!!

We made it through our first week at home! We can't believe how much Will is changing each day. He is more alert and making different noises each day. We are enjoying our time with him at home!

First week home

During the first week home, Will was a good baby. He started sleeping 4-5 hour stretches at night and gained 7 ounces back in two days! He started to have more awake times during the day and only cried when he was hungry or had his diaper changed. I think the thing that surprised mom and dad the most was how many diapers a newborn goes through!:)

On Friday, August 24th, mom and Will were discharged from the hospital around 12:00. Clint had the car seat inspected and safely put in the car, ready for Will's first car ride. Clint was a little nervous driving home with Will in the back seat! Will slept a lot of his first afternoon at home, and decided to save his awake and fussy time for the middle of the night!

During the second day in the hospital, Will had a rough day being poked and tested....He had his hearing test, his heel poked, his hepatitis shot and he was circumcised. It was rough on his mom and dad to see him unhappy! He had some visitors to help cheer him up~Dentra, Megan, Kim, and Amy. Clint and I were getting excited and nervous to take him home the next day!!

During the first day in the hospital, Clint and I took a lot of pictures of baby Will! He slept most of the day, but we enjoyed the time with him and loved looking at his little fingers and toes!

Mom is so happy that I am here!!

William Patrick arrived at 1:15 am on Wednesday, August 22nd, 10 days before his due date! He had lots of dark hair and weighed 8 pds. We were so happy to meet him and that he had finally arrived!!!
