Gingerbread men!

This year instead of decorating gingerbread houses we did gingerbread men! However, I think next year we will go back to decorating gingerbread houses. Reason being that a few days later the gingerbread men were dropped and broken, this resulted in some severe drama from Lukas. Lukas doesn't hide his emotions and was VERY upset that it broke in half. Blair offered him hers (sweetest thing ever!) but in the end we duct taped it!

 Busy hands at work!

Did you notice Blair's big huge nose? Poor thing tripped going up the stairs and banged it pretty bad. We took her to the Ped to make sure it wasn't broken. He didn't think it was but we were on watch with order to take her in for an X ray if her nose even looked the slightest bit crooked after the swelling went down. It took a long time for the swelling to go down in her nose. I felt horrible for her!

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving this year with Dan's family. We always love playing with cousins and having yummy food. My kids looked so cute on Thanksgiving, oh how I love them!

The number one thing I am grateful for this year is my kids and Dan!
I am also so grateful that with everything that could have gone wrong with my pregnancy with Case he is here and healthy and happy celebrating all the holidays with us!
I am grateful for all the help I received this year, it was a tough one and I couldn't have done it with out so many of you!
I am grateful for my family, and for Dan's family. We are loved by so many. My kids are loved by so many. How lucky are my children to have so many family members to love and car for them, and to play with them.
I now this might sound funny but I am grateful for the DVR. Such a small thing but I love that I can watch my shows and relax after my kids are in bed.
I am grateful that Lukas comes home everyday from Kindergarten safe! Mrs. Hales is such an awesome teacher and we love her.
I am grateful for the gospel, prayer, and everything that comes with it. So many prayers were sent on our behalf this year and we are so grateful to have so many prayers answered!
I am grateful for books. Books are such a great escape!
I am grateful for exercise. I missed it SO much during my pregnancy with Case. My first day back at the gym I thought for sure I would throw up, die, or just have to stop. I pushed through and I LOVE my gym time. Bed rest made me so much more grateful for it!

Bouncer

For about a month we couldn't put Case in his bouncer, he was just too little and he would kinda flop around. Around a month old he was finally big enough to go in it! He loves it! He mostly loves it for the monkey that hangs down. His eyes usually go straight to that monkey. He will stare contently at it for so long. It is great when I need some time to do a few things.

Smiling at the monkey!Kinda fitting that he is wearing his monkey jammies!

Case's first month

I know I am over a month late in getting Case's one month post up, but better late then never!
Case is so sweet and we sure love having him in our family. During his first month home I would look at him and just be so grateful (still do) that he made it here safe and sound. I was just glad to be home and off of bed rest!
Things I want to remember about our first month home:
Case is my little snuggle buddy! He snuggles way more then my other kids did. It may just be because of how tiny he is. He just would curl up his little legs and curl in his little arms and was the perfect fit. Every time he slept I wanted to sleep!
Clothes were huge on him!
He has to be held at night. I mean ALL night long! It's okay though, he is my last baby and I will do whatever he wants!
He sleeps so long during the day without being held! Sometimes I forget that he is even there. ;)
SLOWEST eater EVER! I had to wake him at least every 3 hours to eat. He would sometimes take over an hour to eat his bottle. He never latched on correctly so sometimes I felt like all I did was pump and feed and start over.
Loves to be swaddled

Lukas is totally smitten by Case. He is constantly asking to hold him and love him. The other day he was in trouble and he told us he was going to run away. We told him to go ahead, put on your shoes and coat and go. He started crying and said " I think I would miss Case too much!"
 His clothes were HUGE!

 One of my favorite outfits.
This babe loves the boppy pillow. Probably cause he fits so perfectly into the hole inside.
Blair loves Case a little too much! Poor kid is mauled to death by her! He takes it like a champ! One day he is going to whop her a big one.
In the hospital Case had to take a car seat test. He had to sit in the car seat for an hour and a half hooked up to oxygen. We had to see if his oxygen levels dropped during that time. We didn't want him to be in the car and have that happen. If he passed he could ride in his car seat by himself, if he failed we had to ride in the back with him to make sure he was breathing. He failed and so I had to ride in the back seat with him always. At his one month check up they tested him again and he passed! I was so excited! Also at his one month check he weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces! Way to go little guy! We sure do love him!

Halloween

This year Blair wanted to be a Princess for Halloween. I convinced her to be Cinderella since we already had the costume. She agreed, and I think it was a perfect choice for her, she made a beautiful Cinderella! Lukas just wanted to go to the store and pick out a costume. Once he did he chose Mario.

The mustache only survived Trick or Treating on Main with his friend Karson. He wasn't a fan of it and said it bugged him.

Both kids Class costume parades at the same time. It made this mamma sad cause she could only go to one. Dan and I decided to tag team and he went to Lukas's and I went to Blair's. Since I was at Blair's I took pics and this was her afterwards on her preschool steps. Dan said Lukas's parade was so cute and fun to watch. I am grateful for grave  yard shift when things like this happen. It really helps Dan and I work out situations like this.

Halloween party at G and G Crane's

Grandma and Grandpa Crane had a Halloween party as well. The kids had so much fun! They had a pinata, and we carved pumpkins. I only got pics of the pinata cause I was feeding Case during the rest of the party. Blair chose to be Little Red Riding Hood at this party. Her Red Riding Hood costume barely fit her this year. The kids came home with way too much candy! That is what happens when you are the only grandchildren at the party.
