A few days after bringing Case home he had to be on the Billi blanket for his Jaundice. There must just be something about my boys and Jaundice, cause Lukas had to be in the suit case for his as well. I remembered the experience so well with Lukas and it was NOT fun! So when the ped told me Case was going to go in the lights I started crying the second I hung up the phone. I hate that for two days I don't get to snuggle and comfort my little guy like I want. Home health delivered the lights and we got started. It was AWFUL! Worse then with Lukas. Case HATED the lights. He hates to be naked and I think this is why he didn't enjoy them. He started screaming the minute we laid him on them. He cried so hard he started choking. We had to take frequent breaks to calm him down. I was so nervous that it wasn't going to work cause of all the frequent breaks. Eventually we got him to calm down as long as we left our hand on him without moving. It was a long two nights and we were super excited when we got to take him off and send the lights back! Case is such a good baby and rarely cries so listening to him cry was so hard for me.
This is exactly what our nights looked like for two days.
Of course on the last day he FINALLY gets the hang of it and settles down. HA HA.

Case birth story
Introducing Case Daniel Wilkinson, born on 10-11-12 at 8:09 A.M. weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces, and 19 inches long.
If you read a few posts back you would have read what a crazy pregnancy I had with Case. On 10-11 I had been on bed rest for almost 6 weeks! Things were looking really good and I thought I would get to the 36 week mark. I figured I would have a scheduled C section for the 18th or 19th. I guessed wrong! On Wend night I went to bed around 11 only to be woken up around 1:30 in the morning. I was woken up by a pop noise and I felt something run down my legs. I thought maybe my water had broke. I ran to the bathroom to find it was blood and it was a lot! I knew that this would most likely happen and my Drs. were surprised it hadn't happened before. Knowing this made me really calm. My Drs. told me if this happened to hurry to the hospital. I called Dan who was at work and told him to meet me at the hospital. I then called my mom to come watch my kids. My next phone call was to my neighbor who had been prepped this could happen to take me to the hospital. She came right over and as soon as my mom got there we left. I was pretty nervous about one thing, my Dr. was out of town! I didn't know who the on call Dr. was and I was nervous that I would be admitted and someone I didn't know would be doing my first C section. When I got there the nurses hooked me up and monitored my bleeding and the baby. They determined that my water had no broke, I was just experiencing a placenta previa bleed. The Dr. on call was Dr. Dabbling and she told the nurse to just monitor me for a few hours and to call her back. My bleeding wasn't really stopping and I was having contractions so the nurse figured I would be having a baby that day! When Dr. Dabbling arrived she agreed. I was nervous since I hadn't met her before, but something happened that put my mind at ease. She walked in and she looked at Dan and said " I know you!" Then they hugged! They grew up together and were friends. I found out that she had been a part of Dr. Grover and Glenns practice for a year and had done her residency at George Town in D.C. She was so nice and wonderful that I was put at ease right away. They had me prepped and ready to go to the OR within a few hours. After that a lot of Cases birth was a blur. The meds they give you for pain in your spinal made me feel so spacy. I felt like I was in a dream. One thing I remember is that I was numb clear up to my throat. I couldn't swallow. I felt a little panicked but they assured me that it sometimes happens. Luckily a spinal wears off so much faster then a normal epidural! They worked quickly and got Case out as fast as possible. My placenta was anterior and low right where the incision is made. They didn't want me to loose too much blood. Luckily it went as planned and Case came without any emergencies! He weighed a whopping 6 pounds 12 ounces! How amazing for a 35 week 4 day baby! The cord happened to be wrapped around his neck twice and then went under his arm. I am so grateful I had a C section or else it could have ended up worse. Case however had the grunt and was taken to the NICU right away. They thought he would only need an hour of CPAP but he ended up with about 9 hours on CPAP. Luckily he was always border line so they never actually admitted him to the NICU. While they were sewing me up I was just anxious to see him and touch him and know he was okay. As soon as my spinal wore off they wheeled me to the NICU. I knew Case was going to be okay but it was still so hard to see him struggle. As soon as I saw him I started bawling. Luckily a sweet lady in our ward is a NICU nurse and she was there and she helped me feel so much better about the situation. The NICU is such a sad place and all the little ones in there just broke my heart! I was so excited when Case passed the breathing tests and was able to join me in my room. I honestly, was just so grateful to finally have him safe and sound and in my arms. His pregnancy was a toughie and I was scared every day something would go wrong. He made it, and I made it! I am so grateful that everything turned out the way it did. I am so grateful to my Father in Heaven for watching out for us. I am grateful for all the prayers said on our behalf. We love Case so much! He is so sweet and such a good baby. I am grateful that he completed my eternal family.
He came out crying which made me so grateful!
CPAP in the NICU!
Finally in my room where he belonged!
Going home. He ended up going home weighing 6 pounds. He is so little too me! His clothes totally drowned him. Look how big his going home out fit is! HA HA.
My 3 kiddies! I am so glad that my little family is complete with these cute kiddies! Blair and Lukas love their little brother.

B and G
This is Blair with my niece Gracie! I honestly think they are the cutest girls on the planet! They are best buds and I love it! This picture was taken after pretty much spending 10 straight hours together. All the boys went fishing so Gracie and Blair played while Karen and I chatted. We honestly barely saw them. They play so well together and would only peek out every once in a while to ask for a drink or to go potty. We rarely hear arguing, and if they do they work it out themselves. I love how their personalities compliment each other. They are different in ways, but so the same in others. I caught them pushing each other on the swings and I thought it was the cutest thing ever! At Grandma's Gracie's doesn't like to go down the slide unless it has been wiped off. Blair wipes it off every time for Gracie. I hope they are always the best of friends. There is nothing like having a best friend in the family. Someone to hang out with no matter what!
