Lawn Maze

This past weekend our neighbor mowed a maze into his lawn for the kids to play in. He is always doing such fun things like this! The kids had a blast running through it, and riding their bikes through it.

It is still up! I think his wife is ready for him to mow it out. ;)

I had to throw in these last two pics of Blair. She is so cute and so sassy lately!
P.S. Lukas was at a friends house playing so he isn't in any of the pics.

Bed rest

I ended up on bed rest two weeks ago! If we make it to our goal of 36 weeks I have about 3 more weeks to go. It started when I went in for my ultrasound at 30 weeks to check on my Placenta Previa. Not only did we find out that I still have a complete Placenta Previa, we found out that my amniotic fluid levels were really low. They were at a 6 and they like to see you at least at a 10. They checked me to see if my water was leaking. It wasn't so it was determined my fluid levels were low due to my previa. When you have Placenta Previa it makes it hard for for the baby to get the nutrients and fluids it needs to thrive. The Perinatologist told me I needed to take the steriod shots in preparation for a preemie. They also sent me in for a Non stress test. I was put on immediate bed rest. I was a little shocked because I felt like I had been doing well. I hadn't had any bleeding which is rare for a previa and I thought maybe I got lucky and it had moved. Baby Case was doing really well at the Non stress test, and I got my first shot. I went home and that night I started bleeding a little bit. I just watched it and the next morning it had gotten a bit worse. I went to Labor and Delivery and they checked my fluid levels and they were still at a 6. They told me I would need to stay for monitoring for at least 24 hours. They were worried my small bleed would turn into a big bleed. Luckily after 24 hr observation my bleed had pretty much stopped. My Dr. was super hesitant but told me I could go home as long as I promised to obey bed rest. She was hoping to get me to 36 weeks but told me there was a pretty good chance I wouldn't make it that far. Bed rest is interesting to say the least, especially with two kids. Luckily Dan has been great at pulling double duty. My family and his family have helped a ton as well. We have had meals and offers of help from our ward family as well. To this I am very very grateful! I don't know how I would get through this next weeks without so much help! It is stressful trying to coordinate help for my kids and making sure they are well taken care of. My biggest worry in all of this has been them and how they are handling it. This has been a tough year and we have had a lot of ups and downs, and I am grateful that my kids have been handling it like champs. Since I came home from the hospital I had a few more non stress tests and bed rest is working! My fluid levels went back to 14 and then to 18. At that time my Dr. lifted a few restrictions I can take my kids to school etc but I am to lay back down as soon as I get home. I can get up a little bit more and walk around. She made it clear I was still on bed rest and if I didn't obey I would be in trouble. I went back on Fri and my levels were at 11. Lower, but still good. As the baby gets bigger though he is going to need more fluid. Also we are just hoping for no more bleeds. Once you have had one bleed with a previa you are at risk for more. Heavenly Father has really blessed my sweet family during all this. I feel really lucky to have gotten so far with my high risk pregnancy as I did. I know a lot of women in my condition who ended up on bed rest much earlier then me. Some even hospital bed rest. Right now I am trying to avoid hospital bed rest. My Dr. warned me after a few times of being admitted they will just keep me. Right now it is just a day to day thing. Just trying to bake little Case to 36 weeks. Bed rest is boring and hard when you are so used to going all the time. I am not going to lie some days I want to cry, but we are hanging in there. Thanks to everyone who has included us in their prayers. We really truly are grateful for everyone of them.

Blair goes to preschool!

Blair started preschool this year and is loving it! If she had her choice she would go every day! Honestly, I may let her next year. We will see. She was a little shy at first and made me stay by her for a bit. After about 5 minutes she said " K mom, you can go now!" She was so excited to tell me all about her first day when I picked her up.

She had to have a pic with Lukas!
She gave me all sorts of cute poses before we left.
Ready to go in and start her first day!
A week later her little boyfriend Ty joined her preschool too! Blair loves going to preschool with Ty. He lives right next door to us and they are best buddies. They tell every one when they grow up they are going to get married. ;) Yes, Blair does have a really silly face. I tried to get a different picture about 4 times, however, this was all I got!

Kindergarten!

I honestly can't believe I have a Kindergartner! I mean I am only 20! ;) This kid is doing great and loving Kindergarten. It was a bit of an adjustment for him (change is hard on him) but he did it and I am SO unbelievably proud of him. His teachers name is Mrs. Hales and she is so cute with the kids. The first day he came out he said "I love my teacher she is the nicest teacher I have ever had!" He loves walking to school and we have been trying to do that at least 3 days a week. He has made lots and lots of new friends. He loves recess and told me everyone at school thinks he is so funny! I am glad he has self confidence. I love my little Kindergartner and I know he will grow in leaps and bounds this year!

 All ready to go!

 His spot in the classroom!

Stuffed animal bday party!

Every once in a while my kids announce that it is their stuffed animals bday! Of course they want to throw a party for them so we do!

Setting up all of the animals for the party!
Bluey (Lukas stuffed animal) opening up his present. They just wrap toys we already have around the house and "help" their animal open it. It really cracks me up!
Molly opening up her present. The kids even wrap the presents themselves.
Blair wrapped up about 10 things for Molly! It was so funny cause every time she would open a present she would hold it up and tell me to take a picture of it! It was just like when she has a bday party.
We made a chocolate cake and blew out candles.

Bridal Veil Falls

While my Aunt and Uncle were here for my Grandma's funeral we went up to Bridal Veil Falls for a walk. I haven't taken my kids there for a really long time and they really enjoyed themselves.

 Lukas loves his dad!
My cousin Sofia. She was cracking me up cause she had to wear her goggles!
 Trying to touch the fish.
He is getting so big and so handsome!
Blair is getting so big as well!
