On July 27th 2012 the world lost one of the sweetest ladies to ever live, my Grandma B. This is a hard post to write because I already miss her dearly. She was the greatest grandma, and all of her grand kids were lucky to have her. She wasn't just my grandma, but one of my best friends. I knew that I could talk to her about anything. She never was to busy for me, and always listened with compassion, no matter how small the problem. When she prayed for me or my family I felt her prayers. She was one of the most spiritual ladies I have ever known. When I grow up I want to be just like her. Growing up her house was one of my most favorite places to be. Eating applesauce squares, canned (home made) pickles and pickle beans, playing with cousins, and mostly just talking with her. Luckily the few months before she passed she never lost her mind or sense of humor. She knew she was going to go soon, and we were all able to talk to her till the day she died. The day before she passed I was able to go and have a conversation with her and say goodbye. It was a little more difficult for her to talk by then, but she still did. In the last few visits I had with her we mostly talked about the church. I think she was trying to share her testimony with me for the last few times so I would never forget how she felt about the church. I won't ever forget the last few conversations I had with her. She loved her great grand kids as well, and my kids know it! They call her bumble bee and will never forget her, even if it is through stories I tell. I will sing her special songs to them so they never forget, "You are My Sunshine", "I Love you a Bushel and a Peck", and "Run a long Home". Her funeral was one of the best I have ever been too, and I left there wanting to be a better person. Grandma B I love you and will miss you! I can't wait for my little boy to be born so he can be named after you. Case was her maiden name and will be our babies name. For now he can get to know you in heaven. Hold him close and send him down when he is ready.
This is the last picture I took of Grandma. This was Blair's 3rd bday party. Grandma was always putting the present bows in her hair or ours.
Blair's blessing day.
A couple of years ago we were lucky to go stay the night in Ogden with Grandma. We visited a lot of places she had frequented growing up. We saw the house she grew up in as part of her tour. It was so much fun.
Grandma B and some of her great grandchildren.
My kids were lucky enough to experience one of Grandma's famous Halloween parties! I always loved her parties. This last one she gave was at my house and the kids had a blast.

Carnival
We love the Fiesta Days Carnival! It isn't summer for us unless we attend one carnival. We love that the Fiesta Days carnival is so close to our house. We also love that the fireworks can be seen right from our own drive way. This year we went to the carnival on the 24th of July. Even though it was really hot my kids had a blast.
The kids loved this ride. Dan not so much! I could see the I want to hurl face as I watched.
Both of their faces totally cracked me up!
I am guessing this is a I am bad, and oh so cool motorcycle face!
Can't go to the carnival without getting air brushed tattoos. I am so glad they offer these instead of just face painting. Face painting is so messy, and doesn't last long. We get to to enjoy the temp tattoos for at least a week!

Staycation
At my last Drs. app my OB told me my pregnancy was to high risk to travel. She told me my pregnancy was at a point where we could save our baby if born early, and traveling with a Complete Placenta Previa was putting both our lives in danger. So we cancelled our Yellowstone Vacation, and opted for a staycation to Park City. It was really last minute but we had a really fun time.
We started off at the Zoo. We were super excited to see the new Polar Bear exhibit! This was my kids and Dan waiting for the Elephant show.
I have no idea why Lukas is pretending to be a Monkey in front of a Tiger!
We stayed at the Zermatt in Midway. Honestly, I don't think we will stay there again. We didn't have the best experience. We didn't let it get us down though and we still had a great time.
The pool was freezing! I couldn't even stand to be in it. Luckily, Dan is awesome and stuck it out and he and the kids had a fun time!
The pastry place at the Zermatt is the best thing there! We ate breakfast there on both days. It was super yummy. My kids were awesome eaters this whole vacation. They ate pretty much everything on their plates, everywhere we went.
My kids loved the goats at the Zermatt!
I think this is Blair's new favorite dress. She had to have it while we were shopping at the outlets.
Standing in line at the Alpine Slides. Lukas and Dan had so much fun. Blair didn't want to go.
We went on a few rides while we waited.
Lukas LOVED it! Dan said he giggled the whole way down.
Even though this wasn't the vacation we had in mind this summer I am glad we got to go somewhere. We ended up having lots of fun, and enjoyed spending time together.
