We are preggers!
That's right folks, come March 1, 2013 we will hopefully have a cute little baby in our arms. We are currently about 12 and 1/2 weeks. When we first found out it was a little bit of a shock. In fact we had to take 6 tests to finally convince me that we were pregnant. It is not that we weren't excited, cause we are thrilled. Just more that I am due in the middle of my last semester and Ethan will still be teaching. And I always planned on my mom being there to help. So being pregnant scares me a little. Will I be able to do it? How will I be able to do it? After multiple freakouts that my poor husband dealt with, I kinda had a day that really helped me. Ethan took me to the temple for a date night. When I was waiting at the end, it came to my mind that I am due just about a year after my mom passed. Coincidence? For some other people it might be. But for me I feel like it is not. I know my mom. She has helped to send us a little Spirit. I know she is also very excited for us. I just had the most peaceful feeling that everything was going to be alright. I have an amazing sister, and sister-in-laws, mother-in-law, and aunts. We are going to make this work. I am still going to finish my schooling. Ethan, will save up as many as his sick days as he can so he will be there too. It was really real to us when we heard the heartbeat and saw our little baby. This is real. Something is growing inside of me. We are going to be parents!!! Ethan has been so great. He has put up with the nausea, vomiting, emotional moods, tiredness, cravings, and everything else that I have experienced. As for now, all we need is the nausea to go away! We are beyond thrilled, and we will post more through out the pregnancy.
A weekend full of girls
An 8 year old, a six year old, a three year old, and an 18 month old has birth control written all over it. Ethan and I had the opportunity to watch 4 of some of the cutest nieces ever last week for 3 days while there parents went to youth conference. Man are these girls fun. First off Ethan is a pro at changing diapers. We played lots of barbies, watch princess shows, ate lots of ice cream and corn dogs, went on lots of walks and swimming every day, and we took the girls to the Weber County Fair. Their first fair. They were so cute running from place to place loving everything. It was a fun weekend full of lots of surprises. I love these four girls, but lets just say I am not giving birth to four girls all at once anytime soon.

Color Me Rad
As many of you know, my mom passed away on March 10, 2012. I never expected to lose someone so close to me so shortly. My mom and I ,since about middle school, had become best friends until Ethan came into the picture. She was my person. Of course she was everyone's person, but we were also very, very close. I would talk to about dating, school, work, money, recipes, rude girls or teachers, church stuff, volleyball, basically just about everything. She was and still is my hero. It was extremely hard for me to see her suffer with the cancer that came on so sudden, and took her so quickly. Especially her last month when she was in the hospital. When I was not at work, I was down at the hospital with her painting her nails, watching girl shows, massaging her feet, eating sushi, reading all the thousands of cards she got from the community, or just talking. Man, do I miss her. In April, our family decided that we were going to do the 'Color Me Rad' in Provo. We did this race because all the earnings from the race went to scholarships at UVU. Mom played a huge role in helping thousands of seniors get scholarships for school. We called ourselves "BEARly Runners". For those of you who don't know, my dad always called my mom 'bear'. This was just a 5k, but it was fun to run together with the family for mom. It did get a little messy though with all the colorful chalk that was thrown. I know I will see my mom again, but right now it is hard for me to have her not be there when I graduate from school (something that we both have worked so hard to get), or have kids, or just to call up everyday like I use to. Not a day goes by that I do not think of her, and wish I could just give her a great big hug! This is still a very hard time for me, but I am so glad that I have an amazing husband, family, and work that helped me get through this year, and hopefully the years to come.

Dr. Wilford graduates
In May 2012 Ethan and I were lucky enough to travel with Ethan's side of the family to Maryland to watch Amanda (sister-in-law) receive her PhD in accounting. What an accomplishment for her. She is such an amazing girl, who works hard, and is so talented. We went out on a Wednesday and came back on Monday. She graduated on Sunday, so all the other days we were fortunate enough to go see the memorials, the temple, eat the very best hot wings along with some other great food, tour her campus, and enjoy the humidity (yuck!) I had a blast and I really enjoyed getting to know Ethan's sisters and parents a little more. Family is the best.

Ethan Graduates from USU

It has been awhile. I know. So some catch up blogs!:) Ethan graduated from Utah State on May 4, 2012. He looked amazing when he walked across the stage. I could not be prouder of him. He is even putting his degree to use this fall where he will be teaching at North Davis Junior High and helping coach basketball at Davis High. He starts August 27, and will be teaching Utah History, Geography, and World History. He is going to make one great Mr. Wilford.
