Pirate Parrrty
Dawson had a pirate party on September 21, 2012. It was so much fun. I made the kids mustaches and they got hats, tattoos, and eye patches to wear. We ate pizza with "dead mans punch", and had yummy cupcakes that looked like ships. They went on a treasure hunt, dug for treasure and got to hit a pinata. Everything turned out great. He had a Halloween costume from last year that he wore and it still kinda fit. Happy B day Little D!
Dawson turned 5
On September 17, 2012 Dawson turned 5. He wanted to go to pizza pie cafe for dinner. Grandma Triptow and Heathers kids came too. He had a yummy dinner and got cool gifts. He loved his monster Lego set. What a sweet boy he is.
Preschool
On September 4, 2012 Dawson started preschool. He was so excited and it was extra fun because his friend Brinlee was going there too. I can't believe my baby is going to school. He is the sweetest, silliest, happiest kid I know. He has been such a breeze and a joy to have in the family. He is reading so well already and is always ready to learn something new. I love being able to spend time with him after school when it's just the tow of us. I love you little boy!
Dinosaur Museum
I went with my sister in law to the dinosaur museum in August when it was only $2.00. I was super busy but way fun. The kids had a blast.
First day of School
On August 21 2012 Gavin and Abigale started school again. Gavin is in 4th grade and Abigale is in 2nd. Wow they have grown fast. They were both excited and already had friends in their class. So far it has been great. They both like their teachers and enjoy school. Gavin has come along way with school. At the first of the year he would forget assignments or just not do them but now he is a lot more responsible and is getting great grades. He truly has a gentle spirit but at the same time is hilarious. He cares about everyone. I have been reading to him at night and we are reading Out of My Mind. It is such a touching story and I am impressed that he wanted me to read it with him after his school class had just read it. He really cares about others and that is such a great trait to have. My little Abigale, where do I start. She is growing like a weed and is so smart and sweet. She asks for extra work because she gets done early. She is a great reader, student, dancer, and friend. She is so fun to have in the family. I love you both and am so proud of you.
My Jr. High student
On August 20 2012 Ethan started Jr. High. I couldn't believe it. Time has gone by so fast. It really feels like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital in our little Honda. I made Aaron's mom drive behind us so no one would crash into us. (I know, crazy.) I have relaxed a little since then. He has been such an amazing son. I was watching his basketball game and thinking wow that is my son and he is more of a man then a boy now. I was so proud and got a little teary. I am realizing more and more that all of the time and energy we put into our kids comes to an end fast and then they leave you. I can't imagine life without Ethan in it. He makes me laugh and for the most part does what I ask him to do without much complaint. I couldn't ask for a better son. Jr. High has actually been going very well. He gets great grades and all of the teachers have nice things to say about him. Other then the GIRL factor it is wonderful. Ethan I am so proud to be your mom. Keep up the good work.
Car wash
I asked the kids to wash my car. The Bott kids joined in. It was so cute to watch them all! I miss the warm July weather!
24 of July 2012
We love the 24 of July. We usually invite friends over for a BBQ and then do fireworks. We had such a great night. By the end little Dawson was so tired. Abigale looked so cute in her patriotic dress.
ST. George with Friends
In July we went to St. George with some of our friends and their kids. We had such a great time. We ate yummy food, hiked, swam, and played games. What a beautiful weekend it was.
No training wheels
I am so far behind on my blog so I am posting a few things that were exciting. In July Dawson learned to ride his bike with no training wheels. So fun and cute, I can't believe that he is this big.
