Carsen's Math Tournament

On Saturday the 11th Carsen enjoyed participating in a math tournament at Randolph.  His small group placed first in the team division and they ended up getting 3rd place overall.

While we were grabbing some lunch for Carsen I looked back and realized Lincoln had made a gigantic mess of a little chocolate bunny I had given him.

Disney World for Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year my mom and dad  took the whole family to Disney World!  This was our first time going as a family and we had such a great time!  We were surprised to learn that the boys LOVE roller coasters.  Carsen was tall enough to ride the Rockin' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios and went at least 5 times!  Parker and Griffen were pretty disappointed that they didn't meet the minimum 48" height requirement to ride.  They decided we need to head back as soon as they are tall enough!  With the exception of losing Griffen for what felt like the longest 15 min. EVER, we had a pretty smooth trip.

Summer surgery part 2

Waiting to go back to pre-op
Just before going back for surgery
And after surgery hanging out in recovery

We continued our summer of surgery when the day after his birthday Griffen got his tonsils out.
He has had problems breathing when he sleeps for years!  Not only that, but he was still waking up several times every night.... Not good for a little boy that was about to start school!
After lots of doctors visits and discussion we decided to go ahead and get his tonsils out.
BEST . DECISION . EVER!!!!
Since the surgery he can finally breath, and once he was all healed up he started sleeping through the night!  We are all much happier at the Wight house!

Lincoln is 1

-----Lincoln at 1------
-ADORES his big brothers!  Wherever they are he wants to be right there with them.  He doesn't understand that he's still a baby and gets frustrated when he can't keep up with the big boys.
-Is still not walking.  He prefers to crawl everywhere he goes and has gotten quite  fast! When he doesn't like the way the ground feels in his knees he will walk on his feet with his hands still on the ground.
- Is a tiny little thing.  He is in the 10th percentile for weight and the 25th for height.  Although in our family that is pretty big!
- Still isn't talking much and likes to let us know how he feels about something by either clapping or screaming at us.
-Is my little cuddle bug.  His favorite place to be is snuggled up in his mommy's arms.
-Is one seriously happy baby!  He loves pretty much everyone he meets and is always happy to give them a smile.

We feel so blessed to have this sweet little baby in our family and can't wait to see what the next year brings!

Summer Surgery

We are starting our summer off with some surgery for the babe.  After over 3 months of near constant ear infections we decided that getting tubes in his ears was going to be the best option.  Parker was about this age when he had tubes put in and it made a world of difference for him.  He went from having an ear infection every other week to not having another one for over 2 years!  We are praying we get the same results with Lincoln.
He did really well when they took him back, but was not so happy when they brought him back to us.  The Dr. said he should be feeling 100% by tomorrow.
Waiting to go back to pre-op
