I am very satisfied with my promos results, even though I felt that I could have done better. All that time wasted on playing.
I hope that our current class would stay as one. Both in number and in spirit.
I don't like organising chalets. I have nothing to gain. And I hate solo-ing it. It's not as if I am the only one that's going to enjoy it. It's troublesome and bloody stressful, okay? I hope people would be more understanding.
2 frustrating issues:
1) Date. I'm thinking of organising it on fri-sun, 3D2N.
1st week of november is busy with I&R.
3rd week of nov is too close to chem olympiad(19th nov). If I can't make it then I don't see why I'm organising it (since no one else bothers to).
4th week of november busy with MJC OGL camp.
2nd week of dec cheuk wing and jacinda can't make it. (both overseas) haha sounds scandalous.
3rd week of dec have SIN-MAS challenge (chess). KW can't come too(cip).
4th week of dec there's class CIP. (5 ppl affected.)
5th week of dec would be too close to sch hols. I know that alot of people that intially wanted to go would back out because of homework issues (reality of life).
That leaves 2nd week of nov (9th-11th) and 1st week of dec (30th nov-2nd dec), provided it's fri-sun. If I want to book costa sands resort, then 2nd nov is out as sat is fully booked.I am now asking if Yuren, BeeSiang and Allan if they can make it on weekdays, so I have more options to play with.
So it's either 1st week of dec, or weekdays after 7th nov (I&R deadline). I suppose I'll ask around about 30thnov-2nd dec.
2) Cash. I'm not talking about having enough money to book the chalet and buy the food, but about getting it back. An ideal situation would be collecting the money first, and then decide the budget for bbq food.
The problem is that people don't turn up on the day itself. It could be because of illnesses or unexpected happenings. But if someone suddenly backs out for no good reason, it'll really piss people off. Actually just one. The person that has to put up with the extra cost.
My father does the booking, so he pays first. Ultimately I have to pay him back. Same goes for bbq food. In the end, I have to fork out my own pocket money. And if my parents know this, they'll probably tick me off.
I planned about 3-4 chalets already and it's always these two issues. Thinking of solutions, but there's no fail-proof way of organising a chalet. Not that I know of.
