Pattaya, Thailand

13th-22nd June - 8th ASEAN+ Age-group Chess C'ships

It was a fun event similar to 2 years ago, where the venue was also Pattaya, Jomtien Thani Hotel. The hotel breakfast is good, but lunch and dinner could be better. Made more friends, got together with old ones; even formed a mini study group. When we were not studying or playing chess we were playing cards in Ravi/Weixing's room. Haha, the life!

23-24th June

Panic, panic. Exams are around the corner. Studied like crazy with a friend at library.

25th-28th June

Chem paper was easy, but I mismanaged my time. Thought I had 15 mins more. Ended up not doing one question, worth 10marks. Kwang Wei said something about hilighting the chem olympiad students names on the results list. Hahaha. Think we'll be bottom few.

Econs was bad. Couldn't do an 8mark qn and a 6mark qn. Well, I attempted all questions, but I dunno how much is relevant.

Maths was easy. But I mismanaged my time (kind of!). Well, I spent too much time on the APGP qn (7m out of 60!) Then I rushed through the last qn and returned to the APGP qn. I think it's passable. (E grade is a pass, ha ha!)

Bio. I was so happy doing the paper (I understood everything they were asking for!) until I came to structured essay question. -.- They asked about cellulose and collagen, which I didn't study in detail, and about protein kinase and G-protein-linked receptor. The protein kinase question was a mass murderer. Sigh.

Chinese was good, quite fine. But I never get good marks for chi. At least there wasn't a compo.

Haha after chinese went home play UT2004 until 4.30pm, then went to the SP chess briefing (which was pretty much a waste of time) then went home, eat dinner, play again. And tadum here I am blogging.

Which instrument goes ring-ring?

A saxo phone.

Sigh, I can't find any original ones. This is ripped from the net.
