games? O'levels?

I wonder why the sec 4 batch is not really seriously putting in effort. Talks of playing maplestory and its characters has become a popular topic amongst my classmates. I don't really feel the pressure too. Oh no. I feel that this is spelling my doom. I need long-term motivation.

Procastinate? You're going to regret it later.
Layouts

Upon starting, I realized that I have to choose a simple, common template for my blog. Does looks really matter? Its all about content, isn't it? Of course, some people would say that pictures and the layout will enhanve the overall feel of the blog. Do you think that having a million visitors on the counter would mean a different million online people visited your blog? No. There will always be people that visit over and over again.

If you want a site to be popular, you must know what attracts people. Pictures, colours and insights. And also regular changes. Maybe some background music. Appeal to the majority, not the minority. Be trendy.

I have none of the above. And I'm proud (=

Effects of ageing

What are the physical and mental effects of ageing? There will be alot of changes. For physical changes, we will be talking about the deterioration of health. This involves the immune system, and other forms of diseases. They will be sensitive to coldness. They might face illnesses like osteoporosis. Their reaction time would be slower.

Moving on to emotional/mental effects, there will be diseases like being senile and alzheimer's disease, which involes impaired memory. This disease is said to be prevented by playing stimulating mind games like mahjong and chess, but this is not the only problem. The elderly might think that they have nothing better to do then to play games. They will feel helpless, being dependent on the family and the society, and will feel depressed. Also, they might be bored at home, as they have nothing to do. This may result in accidents, as the elderly might do things like cooking, which may be quite a dangerous activity for the elderly.

So, do know the effects of ageing and show care and concern for the elderly. If you have grandparents at home, ensure that the house is safe for them, e.g. Not putting paper/flammable materials near the altar or kitchen. Most of us would be too immersed in our own little world than to notice the needs of the ones around us. Like me.
