And this is the last of them from my camera - Nathan what are you doing pinching Jasons on the butt?! They were opening the new home theatre system that Santa brought them.
Marcella wanted to help everyone open their gifts - it was cute - she did get bored with that after awhile. She had fun playing with her kitchen, table, chair, tea set, food, pots and pans.

I was tagged by Jon's sister Kristen. I guess I am suppose to write about 6 habits, hobbies or memories that I have about me and then tag other people to do the same thing.
1. I love to read and I can read a book pretty fast. I use to just buy all my books but thanks to Jon telling me "why don't you just go to the library and get books" I have started doing that. I get around 10 books and usually take them back in two weeks time or less. The funny thing though, which I'm not sure if it's my mentality or comes from old age, is that several times I have checked out a book that I have already read, not recognizing it until I'm into the first chapter and then I think this book sounds so familiar to discover that I have already read it. I wish that when I go to the library that I would just recognize the title or the cover!
2. A memory that I have is spending time with my grandparents every summer in Emery, Utah. I loved going there and being with them. My one regret is that when my grandparents died we didn't keep their home in the family. They lived on a farm and the town of Emery probably has never had more than 500 people living in the town. We would walk from my grandparents home to Eldreds store at the end of the street. Probably a mile or less. We would buy penny candy. Emery consisted of Eldred's store and gas station, a library, a church, rest area, baseball diamond (park) , a bar and the post office. I loved to ride horses when we were there. They had two horses Old Charlie and Old Paint. My grandma would save all kinds of things for us so that we could play in the play house (she had it all set up outside for us) we would make mud pies and spend hours playing there. Lot's of good memories. I miss it.
3. In our first 8 years of marriage we moved 10 times. We started out in a little house on Sunlower in Boise, Idaho. We then moved to a duplex in Boise from there to Salina Utah and while we lived in Salina we moved 4 times. From Salina we moved back to Boise and in with my mom for a little while and then into married housing. From there we moved into a duplex on patricia lane and then we bought our first home in Boise on Canterbury. We then moved in 1981 to Layton, Utah and have been in the same home ever since then.
4. A habit that I have that I only do at night before I go to bed is chew on ice - usually a couple glass fulls and that is usually only when I'm not with anyone and reading a book or on the computer. I have broken two teeth in the last six months by doing this so I'm trying to not chew the ice.
5. Something that I would like to do more of and haven't really expressed it to anyone but really enjoyed it when I did it several years ago is cross country skiing. I should pursue that more with Dann. It was my one and only time of going a few years back and it wasn't easy but I did enjoy it and I think I should as long as I don't have to go downhill.
6. I love spending time with my family and doing things with them. Playing games, talking, baking, crafts - I enjoy my time with them and I am really enjoying being a grandma. I wish Jason enjoyed being home more and doing things with me - maybe someday he will.
I tag - Dann, David, Rosalee, Nathan and Amy

I received an early Christmas suprise. Nathan suprised me with a new couch for Christmas. He wanted me to stay out of the room until Christmas but that was impossible so he gave it to me before Christmas. It is really nice. I love it. So does Nathan he slept on it last night. Haven't asked him yet if it was comfortable to sleep on. When we were in Idaho for Thanksgiving we saw my brothers and so when he went shopping and saw this he knew that I liked Rod and Janet's couch so he got this one. I really like it. Thanks Nathan.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KANIEN! It's crazy that you are 26 years old today! You are getting old and I'm getting older! I hope that you wake up this morning and that Marcella is feeling better and that you have a nice day even though we are not celebrating your birthday until Friday and Saturday. I'm so proud of you and what you have become. You are an amazing person and I love you. I love watching you with Marcella and the wonderful mother you are to her. She is lucky to have you for a mother and I'm lucky to have you for a daughter. Love Mom
IT'S SO SAD - MARCELLA IS PRETTY SICK!
Marcella was suppose to stay with me Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday while her parents went to the cabin with friends. Marcella is staying with me but Kanien is also. Kanien stayed home from the cabin to be with Marcella who is pretty sick and they decided to stay here. She has been throwing up and just lays around. Yesterday morning socks jumped up on the bed and layed by Marcella - she laughed and smiled and thought that was funny. She is pretty miserable and hopefully she gets better soon. We have plans to go to the zoo on Saturday for Kanien and Jason's birthday.

Random pictures - since I haven't taken any new ones for awhile. I'm not sure what Marcella was doing in the chair. I think she has her baby all wrapped up on her lap. We miss having you here with us.
Then I just wanted to remind everyone that Christmas is approaching fast. You only have 31 shopping days left. I didn't count Thanksgiving day and Sundays. But let's not forget Thanksgiving that is coming up. I know that we wont all be together for Thanksgiving but I hope that you all have a wonderful day wherever you may be and that you take a moment of your day to be grateful for all that you are blessed with and count your many blessings that you live where you do and have the freedoms that you have. Life isn't always easy but we all have been blessed with a lot and have a lot to be grateful for. I love you all and hope once again that you all enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend. I wanted a picture with our Christmas tree in it and this is the only picture that I had with the Christmas tree. Sad I know! I need to do a better job of taking better pictures and more of them.
