Project 366, Week 5 and catch up!

On to February and starting the Photo A Day Challenge!

Feb 1 - Your View Today.
My view was my desk, at work, all dayyyyyyyyyyy.

Feb 2 - Words.  I opted for "word".
My buddy wrote this on my note pad at work and I hung it on my monitor.
Namaste :)

Feb 3 - Hands.
Here is my one hand, ha!

Feb 4 - A Stranger.
Here is a stranger shopping at Whole Foods in bulk foods section.

Feb 5 - 10am.
At 10am on this day, my view was this lil girl, Annabelle, sleeping.

Feb 6 - Dinner.
Dinner was a half of a baked potato, black beans, cheese and Greek yogurt.

Beauty Tips :)

I have found a few new products lately, new to me anyway, that I LOVE.....and thought I'd share.

After reading about it, I was intrigued with Moroccan Oil.
I read it was supposed to be the newest, fancy pants cure all for your hair.

So, at my latest hair appointment, my hair stylist extrordinaire, carries it in her shop, and gave me a sample.
I thought, oh it won't be any big deal, just another flash in the pan beauty gimmick.....but O.M.G!
This stuff is GREAT!  It has made my hair so soft.....like a baby's butt, ha.
Seriously, my hair gets pretty dry in the winter, and a quarter size application of this stuff after washing it has made a HUGE difference!

Next, something I'm sure we all deal with is chapped lips.
I try to keep my lips hydrated with Chapstick, and keep a tube in every nook and cranny of the house, the car, my purse, and on my desk at work.
For the longest time, I've used the plain old Chapstick Moisturizer.
But I guess my old age and body have changed and it doesn't really help that much.
I CANNOT STAND the tingly, minty, feels like it's burning my lips off stuff like in Burt's Bees and Blistex.  I'm sure I'm weird, but it drives me nuts.

So, I tried Nivea moisturizing lip balm.  It's fine and all it just didn't really do much despite me applying it 492 times a day.  I was just applying over and over and my lips were still chapped.
Nivea = fail.

In one of my magazines, I saw an ad for the new Maybelline Baby Lips.....saw it at Target and thought I'd give it a shot.  It's supposedly got clinical strength protection and SPF 20.

Well, Bingo, we have a winner!
This stuff rocks!  And you can even get flavors with a hint of tint in them as well.

I got the "Peach Kiss" and "Quenched".  Love, love, love, them both!!  :)

Do you like the tingly stuff that's in Burt's Bee's and Blistex?
Or are you like me and like the plain lip stuff?

February Photo A Day Challenge

I'm so excited I found this!

While catching up on blogs, I found on Spunky Junky the "February Photo A Day Challenge".
I had heard of this challenge, but since I'm already doing Project 366, didn't think much of it.

BUT, the catch is there are "criteria" for each day's picture.

Fat Mum Slim created this nifty idea.

So, here we go!  I'll be following this "criteria" for props for my February pictures.

Stay tuned for the upcoming, weekly posts!  ;)

I'm still here......

But you probably wouldn't know I was still around except for my Project 366 posts!

First of all, I managed to get another sinus infection.  I have dubbed this one #492.
And it's a brutal one.  In between sinus infections, I am always of the opinion, oh well, when I get anther one, I'll just take my antibiotics and go on.  Because I know, with my allergies, there will always be another infection down the road. Of course, I forget how incredibly bad my head hurts, my face hurts, how much medicine you have to take, and the need to want to lay down and die for a few days.

Second of all, it's winter and it's boring right now.
Except, the weather has been anything BUT winter.  It's been near 70 degrees every day this week!  Crazy!
I tried to focus on why the news said it was happening....something to do with a La Nina pattern, jet stream, yadda, yadda, something like that.

Today is Groundhog Day and ol' dude saw his shadow.
Six more weeks of winter.
But since it technically hasn't really been winter yet, what does that mean?

Since #492 hit with full force, I haven't worked out in three days.
Sounds like nothing, but it seems like forever since I worked out.
I did a running workout (on the treadmill) on Sunday.
The first running workout in several months.  My runnin' buddy, Genevieve, had to have surgery, then found out she had to have another surgery, so I haven't had a running buddy in awhile.
And, what do you do when you don't have a running buddy?  You don't run, ha!
I've continued all of my other workouts, body pump, spin, piyo, and various cardio, but no running.

I am definitely going to workout tonight though!  I'm feeling a little more like a human today, thank goodness!

I'll quit rambling now......maybe it's the drugs (antibiotics) talking, haha.

I am super, duper excited though.  I have several guest posts lined up very soon.

Stay tuned for my awesome guests coming soon!

Project 366, Week 3

I can't believe I painted that....

Now, I would like to just establish the fact that I am
SOONER BORN, SOONER BRED, WHEN I DIE, I'LL BE SOONER DEAD.
BOOMER SOONER!!!!!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now that is out of the way, I can tell you about my latest canvas project!
As it goes at work, we have showers for people expecting their first baby.  Complete with cake, punch, decorations and the whole bit.
We take donations for a gift card for those expecting second or third child, etc.
I work closely with a guy in our credit department, and they are expecting their first child.
This dude is beyond the biggest OSU fan I've seen, like, in the history of, ever.
I'm sure he bleeds orange and black.
Hence, the reason I painted THIS:
His lil guy's name is going to be Nathan, and they're going to call him Nate.  Love that name.
His nursery is baby blue, orange and brown with some OSU in the mix, of course.
I like how it turned out....it was really pretty easy to paint and the black on the outer edges make the orange and white really pop!
Can't wait to meet lil Nathan!
