BGDT: Anything goes

 zaterdag 20 augustus 2011

Oops almost forgot to post my card for the new Basic Grey Challenges! This time our challenge for this next fortnight is lovely and simple - ANYTHING GOES!!

I have to go to a christening this Sunday and wanted to give something extra beside the 'normal' present. So I altered this IKEA picture frame, I have it for ages and I think they don't sell it anymore. It was already vintagelike but I gave it some extra with ColourBox Chalk and also stamped the Hero Arts feet.

I used the Marjolaine paperpad for the inside and a couple of Basic Grey buttons.

Stamp: Scrapmagasinet and Hero Arts
Paper: Marjolaine by Basic Grey
Other: buttons by Basic Grey, flower, pin, twine, pearls and lace

Wedding

 vrijdag 22 juli 2011

Today I have a wedding from my cousin Ellen. I new (not telling who my informant is)that she will be wearing a black and white wedding dress. So I made the card in these colours. I was inspired by the Less is More challenge which is to use circles. I used my nestabilities to make these and added some rhinestones. That's it. Simple.

Stamp: alphabet by Heidy Swapp
Paper: very old DCWV mini stack
Other: rhinestones

BG DT: Stitching

 zaterdag 25 juni 2011

Hi everybody and welcome at another Basic Grey Challenges!
We want you to make a card and the challenge is:

STITCHING

So summer has started officially on June 21. Well nothing but rain here, but they promise that starting from Monday things will look a lot sunnier! Yesterday was my sisters Leonie birthday. So I made this card for her. There has been years when it was so hot but now it was actually cold. We got her a great necklace and a matching armband and I used the colour in the card. I don't know if she noticed....

I used the Mojo Monday sketch and also want to enter it in the Stamping for the Weekend challenge which is using your favourite things. Well my favourite things are using Basic Grey paper (I love this new pad Hello Luscious)and ribbon.

Stamp: Flower Girls Pergamano
Paper: Hello Luscious by Basic Grey
Other: brads from Basic Grey, flowers, ribbon, eyelet, Twinkling H2O's

Father's Day

 zondag 19 juni 2011

Today is Father's Day. And since I have an awesome dad I naturally wanted to make him a card. I find masculine cards hard to make, but I like this one. I used last week sketch by Mojo Monday , it's too late to send it in, but when I saw that sketch I knew I wanted to make a card with it.
I want to enter this card in the following challenge: Papertake which is Dads and Lads, and Stamp Something which is using Pretty Papers. These are from Basic Grey. I used my Nesties to make the small circles.

Stamp: My Favorite Things
Paper: Skate Shoppe by Basic Grey
Other: twine, ribbon, nestabilities

BG DT: colour challenge

 zaterdag 11 juni 2011

It's me again! Back with another awesome challenge from Basic Grey Challenges!
This time we have a colour challenge for you. We would like to see cards in:

HOT PINK - LIME GREEN- KRAFT/BROWN

So here is my card following these colours. My pink is not coming out as 'hot' as I wanted though ;)

I've found these cute stamps in my local craft store. I don't buy much there because they do not have the newest supplies and they certainly don't have the best prices. But I was in need of some brown paper for this challenge and I found these cuties. And I just couldn't resist.
Oh and when you play along with our challenge make sure to use a Basic Grey product. You can't imagine how many people play along a blog called Basi Grey and don't use a BG product!

Stamp: Flower Girls from Pergamano
Paper: Lemonade paperpad from Basic Grey!!
Other: pearls, flowers, Twinkling H2O's, stickles, ribbon

BG DT: Be Charming

 zaterdag 30 april 2011

Today is a great day in the Netherlands, we call it Koninginnedag (Queensday).
But this year I won't be part of the celebrations because my sisters (Leonie and Berniek) and I are going to London!!
I've been looking forward to this trip for a long time and finally it is here!
So right after Will and Kate are done celebrating and hopefully London has come back to its senses we are going to do lots of sightseeing, shopping and of course catch a musical.

But before I leave let me tell you about our new challenge over at Basic Grey Challenges

Be Charming

So we want to see a charm on your creation.

I used Marjolaine paper pad for this card. Somehow the picture is not really focussed and also the blue is more grey-blue in reality.

Stamp: Country Garden Sugar Nellie, sentiment
Paper: BasicGrey Marjolaine paper pad
Other: lots of pearls, ribbon, Twinling H2O's, charm, twine
