Lazy Saturday

This is what our weekends have turned into....

Steve makes me a cap-lat everyday from Steve-bucks.

Sometimes we even have a few more in the middle of the day.

Then after Steve is all hyped up... he does airplane math.

Wow we live such an exciting life.  We had planned to go to FL fishing with friends this weekend, but Steve still has his cold and I was none to excited about driving home with all the traffic on New Years Day, not to mention the price of gas is crazy!

Gotta finish all of my chores before I go back to school on the second.

This has been a wonderful Christmas.  I will get almost 3 weeks off from work, which as been great.  Last week was spend finishing shopping, wrapping and just catching up on chores.  This week we have spent lots of time with our families.  We are very fortunate to have both our families so chose by.

Busted...

Finally I discoved what Steve and Fishy do all day.  They neglect to make up the bed, but instead spend the day admiring their beauty in the dresser mirror.  Why can't I have that job?

NEW T.V.... well sort of

Wow we have upgraded out tv.  As you may remember we had been using a 13 inch black 7 white tv for the past year or so.  Recently the sound had been non existent on it.  It used to be that is we had sound we knew it would be a good day, and no sound meant a bad day.  So you can say we have had a "bad day" for at least the past 2 weeks.  Steve finally said the tv must go and we have to have one with an image and volume...demanding isn't he.  So I pulled out the tv I got in middle school.  It served me well growing up and in college.  It once had bunny ears (yes plural) but I have lost them in the many moves to and from college.
I purchased a $10 set of bunny ears and now we have a COLOR image and sound with a remote control and 12 only slightly fuzzy channels.
What a great Christmas gift to each other... it might be the best Christmas ever!

Christmas Cards

This week I attempted to take photos for our Christmas card....

Oh children, they drive you crazy!

Honduran Tamales

Steve and I were invited to dinner last week by a co-worker of mine.  He is from Mexico and his wife is from Honduras.  Maria, his wife, and her sister spent the entire day creating authentic tamales, just the way their mom makes back home.  Unfortunately I did not take any photos at their house, but I do have images of the ones that were sent home with us.

They were made out of a corn base with potatoes, rice and pork.

They were steamed wrapped in banana leaves. (You don't eat the leaves....I asked.)

They were so good.  We hope to be invited again really soon!

And now I am one!

Mommy says I am a big girl now (Maybe that means I get to blog more!)  My birthday was on Sunday the 9th, and I had lots of fun.
Oh before I forget mommy's birthday was on Sunday, and daddy got her a jacket and a camera lense. I wish she would have not been born so close to my birthday, it just takes away from my big day...well anyways, I am mature now and can not whine!

Doggies

Tut and Savannah mentioned they needed a bit of blog time, since they had not been up in a while. So here they are in the dirty basement!Oh she has the camera again

Take a picture of me by the grill cover

Wait what about me

I know it looks like i am trying to bite her head, but if you only knew. She is always picking on us, and besides Savannah told me to do it.

Bark, bark...make Fishy leave us alone.

See how nice we are without her bugging us.

Just chilling, in peace.
