December

Like each December, this month seemed to fly by while it was filled with love, joy, family and friends.

Although we had tons of rain, I was able to get in several runs early in the month.

I spent a weekend in DC visiting my college roommate, Alana and her family.

I am so happy to have such a great friends.

These two precious children made getting the flu in DC worth it.
Just hearing them say "Auntie Kelly" is enough to make my heart melt.

Our 2013 family Christmas card.

November

We made our annual fall trek towards the Highland in the Jeep.

We always have such a fun trip when we are Jeepin' in the mountains.

We spend a few days of Thanksgiving week in Mexico Beach.
Steve spent some time fishing and I took long beach walks/runs.

We ate lots of oysters, out and in the room.

It was a bit cold and windy on the beach so I spend lots of time on the balcony with my electric throw.

My Bote Lowrider paddle board.

I made a fruit pie for Thanksgiving. Barbara said she did not know that I could cook. Somethings are better left to be a secret.

We celebrated our tenth year of the lightening of the Macy's tree in Atlanta on Thanksgiving night.

Crunchy Crates!

Savannah Banana, our little lady.

Sunrise off of the AT.

Fall hiking.

What a great sunset. No matter how many sunsets or sunrises I see, each one is still magical.

Mexico Beach sunset yoga. It was beautiful but cold.

I just had to try out my Bote paddle board when I got home. It was freezing but the rez was calling my name. It was great. I can not wait until spring!

Thanksgiving at the barn with Nanny Ruth and Lacey.

Thanksgiving at the barn with Nana and Barbara B!

October

October is always a beautiful busy month in our world.
We attended the rehearsal dinner of dear friends Teddy and Jessica.
The next night we celebrated their new life together at a beautiful wedding.

What a great venue to celebrate a new union.

What a great family.

What a great night.

Steve ended up trading and getting a new paddle board. He took it out for a short paddle on the rez.

Daddy and I did five fall runs in five weekends. We concluded with an amazing ten mile trail run.

The Frogtown Challenge was great for us both.

Well the yellow jacket nest did make for a bit more difficult run.

We did a few fall hikes together.

We love our mountains.

Although I have a deep love for my mountains, sometimes I just need a beach get-a-way.

We did a quick weekend to Panama City Beach.

My latte makes any beach walk sweeter.

Steve met me on my walk and we found lots of rays. Mega cool .

In light of Catfishes recent health issues we decided not to be grandparents and get her spayed.

Bless her heart, two surgeries in two months.

I had my annual funnel cake at the Dawsonville Moonshine Festival.
I am sad to say that I could not finish it before getting sick.

Each sunrise is spectacular.

It just never gets old.

My rez friend on one of the last warm fall days.

Paddleboard adventures

Don't fall, it is cold out.

Early, early morning sunrise. The light changes each second.

Sunrise hikes are the best quality time.

September

Early September gave big scare in Fishy health. Steve found two lumps on her breast. This resulted surgery to remove them and being told by the vet that they were cancerous. After a week of worry and  prayer the pathology report came back cancer free. We were beyond relieved.

This is our princess on our way home after her cyst removal. We could not let her stay the night at the vet. Instead I slept in the floor with her all night.

She had two incisions like this.

She spent lots of time sleeping while in recovery mode and on pain meds.
Co-workers brought me home grown 'mators after daddys vines died.

Barn kitty was missing for almost two weeks. We were all heartbroken.

We even put up signs. After two weeks, she simply reappeared at the barn starving and happy.

Steve and I made a Jeep trip NOC. I love fall weekend adventures.
