Hi everyone! I hope that your summers are going well so far! We've enjoyed a beach vacation, vacation Bible schools in our area, and lots of time with family and friends! What have you be up to so far this summer?
Lawn Fawn has been working on a secret surprise and we're so excited to share that they are offering their first ever kit, Hive Five! It includes the cutest bee images, a stencil, paper, and die cuts! Can this "bee" any cuter?!
For this card, I started by stamping, coloring with Copics, and die cutting the bees, flowers, hive, banner, and sentiment from the stamp set. I love that little bees with the party hats, so I decided to make a birthday card (plus, I'm always running out of birthday cards!). After creating the images, I started working on the background. I die cut a piece of white cardstock with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper from the Stripes and Sprinkles paper pack. After attaching the paper to a white card base, I used the Honeycomb stencil to ink blend a small section on the background with Sunflower ink. Then, I arranged the images around the ink blended honeycomb, and attached them with foam tape.
Next, I worked on the sentiment. The "beeday" sentiment is perfect for birthday cards, so I used the Henry's ABCs to cut the letters from the patterned paper included in the kit. I cut three letters each and glued them together to make them stand out against the background. To finish, I stamped the "happy" from the Hive Five stamp set, and stamped a few dotted trails behind two of the bees.
Aren't those bees so cute?! I can't wait to see what everyone creates with this fun Hive Five stamp kit! And make sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for a ton of cute inspiration from the design team!
