Happy Anniversary to us!

December 28, 2002
November 2007

5 years happened way to fast and we sure have changed over that time. Check out how skinny we both were!! I wouldn't mind looking like that again :) Happy Anniversary Aaron! Aaron planned a nice dinner for us tonight, made the reservations and arranged the babysitter! All without any help from me! Those are my favorite kinds of dates.

Christmas Pleasures

Our Christmas was the best ever. The boys had so much fun with their new toys and it was so exciting to be able to spend it here in our new home and be able to have my parents come here instead of us going there. The pictures are not really in any order since I don't want to worry about sorting and moving them around. Here's just a sampling of the fun that we had. Aaron got some new tools and some fun family history resources. Aaron's mom made us the nicest denim quilt which we love. We don't have a nice one to use so that was very exciting, plus some fun pillows that boys love. I got lots of fun new stuff for my kitchen. Dishes, spice rack, and lots of other things. My mom made us some beautiful new towels for our bathrooms. And gave us a new bedding set that is gorgeous. The boys got way to many toys and had sooo much fun.

Here a picture of part of the mess after all the opening was done.
Parker and our new kitties!!! They are soo sweet. We love them, and even better, they love us!! They let the kids pick them up and hold them and don't even make a peep in protest. They love to cuddle and purr and I am so happy!! They are both boys. The white one is named Butter and the orange one is Pumpkin. They already had names so we decided to keep them since all Parker could think to call them was Christmas tree or lights.

Here is our upstairs family/play room, most the toys hide back in the corner :) We still want to do some painting and hang some blinds and window panels. But here's where we are so far. And thanks to lots of help from my mom and dad we are completely unpacked and organized already!! So we are ready for visitors any time!!
The kids bathroom with some cute towels my mom made with their names embroidered on them.
Here we all are in our new Christmas jammies :) This is my favorite tradition, opening new jammies on Christmas eve.

In our family we have always had our big dinner on Christmas eve so this year mom and dad came to our house and after dinner they let us open our gifts from them and we gave them theirs. Mom is wearing an apron that she made for Parker.

Daddy was soo nice to play cards with Parker He got a few different card games and had lots of fun playing them. I think here they are playing "Go Fish"

Our little workers with their new tools and tool bench.

KC playing on Parkers new trampoline.
Santa brought the boys new electric toothbrushes in their stockings and KC loves his! Must feel good on those sore gums.
Here they are laying on the pillows from Grandma Sue and Papa Chuck, and playing with the balls they gave them also. KC especially was excited about that, he loves little balls just right for his hand.

My bedroom. Isn't is pretty!! I plan to paint one, maybe more, of the walls pale green to match my quilt.

The towels. Gorgeous aren't they!! I told her she should start selling these.

So that's our Christmas, I am so grateful for the wonderful family I have and the opportunity we had to be together.I'm glad neither of us had jobs that we had to work over the holidays and that we had so much fun being together. I feel so blessed this year and don't know how life could get any better. To top it of this friday Aaron and I will celebrate our 5 year anniversary. He is the most wonderful husband in the world. He is so helpful and thoughtful all the time. He makes an effort to always make time for his family and let us know that we always come first to him. He is my very best friend and I never dreamed I would get so lucky. Thanks for being the man that you are and for always loving me. You are so wonderful. Our boys and I are so blessed to have you.

Gone

Well Zoe didn't last long, she was sooo GRUMPY!! The only sounds she made were growls and hisses, she wouldn't let anyone near her really. And the kids hadn't even really tried playing with her yet so there was no reason to be really scared! She just got worse the longer whe was here so we sent her on to another family with no kids. Hopefully she likes them. So we're on the lookout for a new kitty, if anyone knows of any let us know!!

Meet our newest addition...

Meet Zoe, the newest addition to our little family. She is pretty nervous still and won't let us get to close to her yet, but we love her already and can't wait until she loves us. :) The kids think she is just fabulous and love following her around and trying to love on her. I like to think that we got her for them, but really shes for me :)

Yummy dounuts for the moving helpers We had a 26ft. truck and thought there was no way we would fill it all up, but we did, stuffed full and still had to have 3 loads in our van!
Finaly! the tree is up! Although we haven't been able to find the ornaments yet.
Daddy all worn out from all the work. Hes been so great moving everything around for me. Oh yeah, and for buying me a house! Thanks honey! i love you!

Moved!!

Just wanted to let you all know that we are all moved in! Thanks to the help of our friends in our old ward it only took just less than 2 hrs to load it all up, and thanks to new friends here it took less than an hour to unload. We have gotten a lot put away already, thanks to lots of help from my mom and dad :). Its so fun!! And we have so much room, I LOVE it. Our apartment was about 1100sq. ft. Our new house is 2079. Its so strange to be living in a regular house again, its been a lot of years, probably about 8 since I was living at home with my family. I was hanging a picture and for a second I worried that the hammer might be too noisy for the neighbors, and then I remembered that no one else lives connected to me and I can pound the hammer as loud as I want!! I am sad to leave such amazing neighbors/friends. You couldn't ask for better people to live so close too. I just love Camille and hope that we can still get together often. As soon as we are out of the mess and get things situated we'll add some pictures. Thanks to everyone who helped us either in deed or thought!

CLOSED!!!!

We did it! Closing is over and it wasn't nearly as overwhelming as I thought it was going to be. I still can't believe that we did it, its so scary and exciting at the same time. Now to try to finish getting everything ready now that the kiddos are gone to grandmas. YEAH!!!!

Ready to go...

We're all ready, everything is packed and tonight is the boys last night in our apartment. Tomorrow morning they are going to Grandmas house where they will stay until late saturday while we get everything moved. Parker's had a lot of fun getting to help pack up his room, and let me know he thinks we should paint his new room blue and yellow, "because those colors go together mom". We'll see. I can't wait to decorate, although I'm not much of an interior designer, good thing my mom is close by. She always makes everything look amazing. Her inspiration will definatly be needed. So tomorrow we will sign our lives away, and then the real fun begins on friday whenw e get the keys and start the move. Even with everything packed up I feel like we have too much stuff around. What do we will all this junk? Why do we keep it all and seem to think we absolutly have to have it? Too bad it will just be worse the next time around sine we have almost twice as much space to grow into.

Pictures

Just thought I'd pst a few pictures from the last few weeks. Not much is happening other then the move, we sign papers tomorrow!

Poor KC has been sick for the past few weeks, hes on antibiotic but they don't seem to be helping too much, I hope he gets better soon! Expecially since my mom is tending the boys for the next few days. Sorry for all the boogies mom!

These of from Parkers preschool Christmas program. Its was really cute, we made a fun video of it for Daddy to see.
Anyone want to take a bath? This is at our new house when we went over last Saturday to check out the new carpet.

Its all done!!!

Sorry if your sick of hearing about the house, but I just can't help it, I'm too excited.

Its done!!! They are laying the last of the carpet today and everything else is done and its all ready!! We went over on saturday and it was so fun to see everything in there. The appliances, the countertops and all the fixtures and stuff. Only 10 more days until we close and its ours! We plan to move the morning of the 22nd, I think we'll have lots of help from our ward, but if you feel so inclined feel free to stop by ;). We packing up here at 8:00 and hoping to unload there around 12:00. I'm starting to feel the pressure of getting everything done in time, but its so fun at the same time that I can't complain. The next update will be when we are there with keys in hand!

New address and phone number

I sent an email out to most everyone whose address I had to let you know our new address and phone number. If you didn't get it, but would like to know, send me an email and I'll send it to you.

7 things about me...

I've been tagged a few times now for this so I guess I'll give it a shot. This was a hard one, I'm kinda an open book I think and most people know all there is to know about me. But I'll see if I can come up with some stuff that maybe you don't all know already.

1. I like to put things together, anything that has to be assembled really. I think its fun. And I get really mad when someone is trying to help me and they aren't doing it the way I think that it should be done. I guess this could go for most things. I have a certain way they should be done in my head and if you do it different I have a hard time biting my tongue and letting it be done differently. Just ask Aaron. It took me a long time to be okay with how he does the dishes, actually I still struggle with that one.

2. I hate talking to people I don't know on the phone. And sometimes I'm still uncomfortable talking to people I do know, unless we are really good friends. I order pizza strictly online now just for this reason. And if you call my house and get my voice mail, there's a strong chance I'm here, I just don't want to talk until I know what you want. So I will be extremely bothered if you don't leave a message.

3. I could live on cereal. I LOVE cereal. Love it. If I can't/ or don't want to think about making dinner cereal is always my favorite back up. If it wouldn't make me big and fat I would eat it for every meal. Among my favorites are healthy choices such as Captain crunch(no berries), Frosted Flakes, and good old rice krispies.

4. I really like to move. I love all the friends that I make different places, and its always sad to leave them, but I seem to have a mouth that never stops talking, so most people know pretty much everything about me. So I love going some place new where no one knows me and I can start over completely. And I like packing. I think its fun.

5. I only seem to have 2 gears. Stressed because I have to much I planned to do, or bored because I got too stressed and so I cut everything out and now I have nothing to do. Which in turn leads me to plan too much again.

6. I don't like to shop in stores. I used to love to shop. Too much. I still love to buy new things, but I hate going to the store and being around all the people. Maybe its because I have kids to take with me, or maybe it's because I feel so guilty spending money on stuff for me now when I know my kids will need stuff. Or maybe its because I have a touch of social anxiety at times and I just don't like the people, or I'm convinced that for some reason they don't like me. Anyways, I did almost all of my Christmas shopping online this year, and it was fabulous. I spend less money because I'm not stressed out, and I don't have to go anywhere!! Sure it cost a little extra for shipping, but its definitely worth it, especially when you factor in that I would have spent twice as much probably if I'd been at the store.

7. I eat chalk when I'm pregnant, and once in the second grade I ate a whole bunch of playdough, you know the homemade kind, and I threw up. But I had a friend over and I didn't want my mom to send her home so I never told anyone.

New do

I decided it was time for a new hair cut. I've always liked having it short so off it all went. It feels great to have all that hair gone and its fun to have a new style.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

This morning we were awaken by Parker at 7:00am, in our room saying
"Its snowing! It's snowing! I need my snow clothes. Lets go outside, I need to make a snowman!" So we dug out what winter clothes we could find that would fit them and they were soon outside playing in the snow. Throwing snowballs and making snow angels. It was fun that the neighbor kids were outside too so Parker has someone to play with so I didn't have to get all
cold and snowy.

We have cabinets!

The cabinets and the vinyl flooring are in. Its so much fun to get to see it all in progress and a lot easier to picture it all done now that there are at least cabinets. We don't have tons of cabinet space, but its as much as we have now at least so I think it will work all right. We also plan to reverse the swing on the door to the laundry room to make the space in there a little more usable for pantry space too. Everything else but the carpets should be done by the end of next week, so looks like we are still on track to move on time. Right now our closing is the 19th and we get our keys the 20th!
Here's a pictures of the hall bathroom on the second floor. This is the one the kids will use.
Here's an up close of the flooring in the bathrooms, entry, kitchen, and laundry room.

Sorry some of the pics ore blurry, like this one. Apparently we had a big spot on our camera and didn't notice until after we took all the pictures. Here are the kids playing where the refrigerator will go.

This is a picture of our upstairs family room/optional 4th bedroom one day. I forget how bug it is until we are there and see it. I'm so excited to have a space for the kids to play and keep all the toys and mess.
