Pool!!!

We got a pass at a swimming pool for the summer!! I am so excited and so are the kids!!!!

Swimming has always been kind of scary for my kids.  I am not sure why, but they are both doing so good noq!!  I had to bribe Grayden yesterday, but he did put his head under the water and he couldn't stop talking about how awesome it was.  Karleigh is swimming under the water now, and I am so proud of both of them because last summer, they were both so scared!!!

Father Son Outing

Brad and Gray are at the father and son outing for our ward right now.  Grayden has been so excited for this.  I love these boys!  I tried to send Jackson along with them, but it didn't go over too well.  Maybe next year!!!

Preschool Grad!!!

Grayden's preschool graduation was so cute!!!!  He did such a great job.  He has had so much fun with Miss Susie and all of his friends this year!!!  It is hard to get much information out of Grayden.  Whenever I ask him what he did at preschool, he tells me that he forgot or just gives me very little information, which is so much different from Karleigh who gives me every detail, so I had no idea that he had been working on his acting skills!  He was front and center during the monkey skit that I posted earlier today, and it was pretty much the cutest thing ever.

These last 2 pictures are Grayden on his first day of preschool.  He has grown up so much in the last year!

Mother's Day

On Saturday night, we went to Logan and stayed at Katie's house.  My cousin, Ross, got married, so we got to go to his reception as well.  I had so much fun with my family!

On Mother's Day, the boys made us a big breakfast, and then we had to leave so we could go to Joe's confirmation.  Since we were traveling, we got to go out to eat for my Mother's Day dinner.  I chose Chipolte.  It is my favorite place and Brad hates it!  He was a good sport and took me there anyways.

I am so lucky to be the mom to these 3 precious babies!!!  They teach me so much about life!!!  It was also so much fun to get to be with my mom and Brad's mom on Mother's Day weekend.  I am so thankful for the way Brad's mom raised him and how great she is to me and our kids.   I am so very grateful for my mom.  She is my best friend and I look up to her more than she will ever know.   She taught me how to be a mom and I just hope I can live up to her example because she really is the best!!!!!!!

Preschool Graduate!

Grayden graduated from his 1st year of preschool today.  His program was beyond cute!  I have a bunch of pictures I will add later, but here is a cute video of one of the skits they did!

Weekend Away

This weekend, Joe, who is our soon-to-be brother in law, got baptized!!!  We drove up to Salt Lake on Friday night and stayed in a hotel.  The kids had so much fun swimming.  Jackson loved the water, and it was a little on the chilly side, but he just floated around in his tube.  It was cute.

On Saturday, we went to the baptism.  I am so happy for Joe and the decision he has made!  It was a really special day, and it was the first baptism my kids have seen.  They thought it was so awesome!  Karleigh, Grayden, and Makenzie all sang, Teach Me To Walk In the Light, and they did SO GREAT!  I video taped it on my phone, but it somehow got deleted.  After the baptism, we went over to Cadice's house for a barbecue.
Aren't these boys the cutest??  I can't wait for them to be the best little buddies.

After the barbecue, we went to Logan for the night to say hi to my family.  My parents were in town and it was so much fun to see them.  We had a family sleepover in Katie's living room, and it was fun!!!!  I feel so lucky to have such an awesome family and such awesome in-laws!

Kindergarten Program

Last week, Karleigh had her Kindergarten Program.  They sang such cute songs and did a hip hop dance and it was so much fun to watch!!!

Afterwards, we went back to her classroom and had cupcakes and she got to show me her binder that she had been working on all year.  The bottom picture is her teacher, Mrs. Bigham, who I have loved this year.

Baptism

Grayden is in charge of family night this week.  He is going to talk about baptism since Joe is getting baptized this weekend.  I started telling him all about baptism, and he said he didn't want to get baptized (he doesn't want to dunk his head in the water).  Then I told him about the Holy Ghost and he said he doesn't want the Holy Ghost either because, "He is scary and he sneaks in my room at night and says, "Grayden, you must be dead."  Oh my...good thing we have 3.5 years until Gray is 8.

Batman

We got Grayden a Lego Batman game for his birthday in October.  Until now, he has not been too into it.  Now he is slightly obsessed.  I have to limit him every day.  If I didn't, he would play for hours on end.  Grayden's friend, Max, also is obsessed.  They are funny to watch.
Doesn't Jackson look so cute before dinner tonight???  Such a sweet boy.

Jordan and Mandi

Last weekend, Jordan and Mandi came for a visit.  It was so great to see them!!  We got a babysitter for Karleigh and Grayden and we went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  Jackson got to come with us!  It was so fun and so yummy.  Jackson was all over the place.  He is passed the age of just sitting contently and he wanted to play with everything and drop everything on the floor.  He ate 2 lemon wedges.  He would make a really sour face but he still wanted to eat it. Funny boy!
That night, Karleigh and Grayden were our entertainment.  We sat on our back porch and watched them wrestle for quite a long time.  Grayden said that he was "winning all of the battles."  We put the kids to bed and stayed up late chatting.  It was a fun night.

On Sunday, it was our stake conference.  Jordan and Mandi so kindly volunteered to watch our kids while me and Brad went.  They already had their stake conference and didn't want to do a repeat (can you blame them??).  After church we had ourselves a little Mexican fiesta and then they headed out.  Thanks for staying with us!!!!

Six Months Old

On Arpil 27, little Jackson turned 6 months old!!!  Time flies!!!  He is 19 pounds 4 ounce, 28-1/2 inches, and has a 46 cm head.  This landed him in the 75th percentile for his weight, and 98th and 95th percentile for his height and head.  The doctor said he looks great!!!  I still think he looks so much like my dad...see the picture below!!!  He is also flashing some gang symbols...no big deal.

I can already tell Mr. Jackson is full of personality.  He loves when anyone talks to him and he laughs so easily!  All you have to do is talk to him, and he will get the biggest smile on his face.  I love it!!!  He is not all smiles though.  If you aren't giving him enough attention, he will let you know with very loud screams and cries, but as long as you are playing with him or holding him, he is as happy as can be.

He is a great little sleeper.  He is sleeping all night and takes 2 naps during the day.  When he was about 5 months old, we had him cry it out for 2 nights, and since then, he has been sleeping like a champ, which makes for a much happier mama!!

He is rolling all over the place.  He can sit for a few seconds but then topples over.  He loves playing with his toys.  He likes is exersaucer for a short period of time.  He puts everything he touches in his mouth, but he still doesn't have any teeth.  He can hold his own bottle and feed himself, but when he drops it, he gets pretty upset.  He doesn't really like baby food too much.  He love rice cereal and oatmeal.  He also likes veggies way more than fruit.

He gets so much love from Grayden and Karleigh.  Sometimes he loves the attention but sometimes it freaks him out!!!!

He is the cutest little guy and we can't imagine our lives without him.

Soccer

Grayden started soccer again.  I can't believe how much he has improved since last season.  He is enjoying it, but if the coach needs a volunteer to sit out, he almost always has his hand up in the air first.  He says he just does not like to run or sweat.  Funny kid.
Doesn't he have the cutest little fan to cheer him on???
Go Green Ninjas!!!!

Gymnastics

Karleigh just finished up gymnastics for the year and she has loved it!!  My neighbor is the coach and they do it out of a basement, and it has been perfect for Karleigh this year.
She is so strong!
Her favorite thing to do is the bars!

This is Karleigh's cute friend Rylee.

She got a gold metal.

It will be nice to have a little break.  I am sure she will be dying to go back in the fall.
