Happy Camping Trailer Day

Yesterday, was a happy day for Brad! We got a camping trailer. Brad loves to camp and hunt and all that good stuff, so he has been wanting one for a while. Brad's parents bought themselves a fancy new trailer a little while ago and gave us a way awesome deal on their old one, and yesterday after Sunday dinner, Brad brought it home.

Karleigh wanted to sleep in it last night, and Grayden had to go and check on it today to make sure it was okay. Funny kids!! I can't wait to go camping once it warms up a bit!

Manti

On Saturday, we went to Manti for Amanda's baby shower and Great Grandma Wheeler's birthday party. We had so much fun. I love visiting with the Wheeler Fam. I just love them!!! I only took 1 picture, so enjoy.
The kids played in the snow for a while and their clothes were wet, so Gray's clothes were in the dryer. Karleigh and Grayden loved playing with their cousins.

PJ Day

A few weeks ago, Karleigh had PJ day at school. I thought I lost the picture, but I just found it, so I thought I would post it.
Karleigh also had a fun Valentine's party at school, but I didn't take any pictures. Karleigh signed her name on all of her friend's cards. Isn't it cute??? I think it is!!!

Weekend With The Girls

Last Friday, my mom and sisters all met in Salt Lake for a fun weekend!!! It was a blast!!! I would give anything to live closer to these girls. They are my best friends and I love them!!!!!!! I have to give a HUGE thank you to my mom (and dad) for spoiling us rotten all weekend. We started the weekend with chatting in the hotel and then heading to dinner at P.F. Changs. We spent a lot of time eating!!!

After some delicious Chinese food, we headed over to Cold Stone. It was so stinking good!!! And of course we did some shopping. Whenever the four of us get together, there is always shopping involved. Shopping was extra fun because we got to go WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING because Abbie is getting MARRIED!!!! I seriously can't believe my baby sister is getting married. I am so, so happy for her.

We thought that we had got a room with 2 queen size beds. It turns out that we got a room with a King size bed and a very small couch bed. We made it work though. Mom, Abbie, and Katie slept in the bed, and I pulled the mattress from the living room into the bedroom so I didn't miss out on any of the fun. My poor mom ended up putting the couch cushions on the ground and sleeping on them. She claims it was comfortable, but I highly doubt it!!
On Saturday, we did more shopping. We spent a large amount of time at Latter Day Bride. I think that is such a funny name, so I said it as much as possible all weekend long. Abbie found the most beautiful dress!!!
We went to Lionhouse for lunch on Temple Square. This place was so, so yummy!!! After lunch, we took a tour of the Brigham Young house and went to the visitor center to look at the new replica of the Salt Lake Temple. Also, my mom made us watch every TV Mormon ad ever made...haha...I actually ended up in tears.

After a long day of shopping, mom treated us to pedicures, and Abbie got a manicure. This was so relaxing!!!

As previously mentioned, we ate a lot this weekend. Katie especially went all out. Anyways, it all caught up with her on Saturday night. We were driving around looking for somewhere to eat dinner, and she barfed. So gross. It may have been a little bit my fault, because I will be the first to admit that I suck at driving. Anyways, on Sunday morning, we went to Music and the Spoken Word. It was amazing. If you every get the chance to go, do it!!!

At this point, Abbie had not been purposed to yet. Christian decided it would be fun to do it this weekend, because Abbie would not be expecting it. Christian had been texting us and calling us all weekend to get this set up. We had to work extra hard to keep this big surprise from Abbie. She knew the question would be coming soon (she picked the ring), she just wasn't sure when. So, when Christian asked if we thought it would be okay for him to come down on Sunday and surprise her, we were all so excited! He told us that he was in a room in "the place where they play the Joseph Smith movie." Katie immediately thought of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, so she came up with the excuse that she wanted to see what time the movie was playing and we went over to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in the cold snow. Abbie kept asking why Katie couldn't just look it up online. It was really funny. We wandered around that building for a long time while Abbie got more and more annoyed and I started acting more and more weird (apparently I am not good at hiding things). Finally, Katie convinced Abbie to go somewhere with her while my mom and me called Christian and we realized we were in the wrong building. Then, Katie told Abbie that she actually wanted to SEE the Joseph Smith movie right then and there and we needed to walk over there to go watch it. She was so confused and kept talking about how we had reservations at Little America, how mom was going to miss her flight, and how hungry she was, but she came with us. I really don't know how to act when I am trying to hide something. I was acting very awkward, but I have to give it up to my mom and Katie, who were excellent actresses!!! When we finally got to the right place, we found this...

Christian sang Abbie a song. If you want to here a more detailed version, check out Abbie's blog.

It was so cute and Abbie was so surprised. I tried to videotape it, but my camera did not have enough memory. I was pretty sad!! After the big proposal, we went to Little America for breakfast...YUM!!!
Check out Abbie's new bling...Isn't it beautiful!!!

I had such a wonderful and relaxing weekend!!! I just love these girls. We laughed so much!!! Truthfully, we are all pretty lucky we survived the weekend with my awesome driving skills!!! And a big thanks to Brad for watching the kids and letting me have a relaxing weekend. And thanks again to my mom and dad!!

My Kids Are Funny...

This is the conversation I had with Karleigh on our way to preschool this morning...

Karleigh: Matt isn't my boyfreind anymore. I broke up with him.

Me: What did Matt say to you?

Karleigh: He said, "And who is going to stop me."

Me: What did you say to Matt?

Karleigh: I told him that Laken and me would stop him.

And when Grayden wanted a snack this afternoon, he said "Mom, I need to have a fruit rollup so that my heart can breathe."

Kids are so stinking funny!!!!

Happy Valentines Day

I got to spend today with my 3 valentines. It was GREAT!!! Me and the kids celebrated all day. We went to McDonald's for lunch with some friends, which Karleigh and Grayden love to do.

Brad and I went out to dinner on Saturday, so we decided to spend tonight with the kiddos. I made a yummy dinner, and we lit the candles and turned the lights out, which Karleigh and Gray though was very cool!!!

After dinner the kids got to open their gift from me and Brad. I finally broke down and bought my kids a Pillow Pet. As you can see, the kids were quite excited. Karleigh named hers Uni and Grayden named his Punky. Haha Such funny kids.

Brad got me these pretty flowers with a card and a little bit a cash for my upcoming girls weekend...I can't wait!!! I got Brad a new movie and some goodies. I love my little family so much!!! I am truly blessed!!! Happy Valentines Day!!!

Sugar Cookies

Yesterday, after Sunday dinner, we made sugar cookies at Grandma Wheeler's house. The kids had so much fun!!! It got seriously messy!

They turned out super yummy!!! Thanks Grandma Wheeler!!!

Valentines and Show & Tell

I have been sick for the past 5 days. Today is the first day that I am feeling back to my normal self. I haven't been sick like that in forever, and I am more than happy to be on the mend. When I was little, I used to like to get sick because my mom would fix me a bed on the couch in the living room. I always felt so special. The day after Karleigh got her shots, she had a fever, so I made her a bed in the living room. She ended up being fine a couple of hours later, although she claimed she couldn't walk many times because her legs hurt.
Grayden didn't get sick, but enjoyed a couple of PJ days....
Today at school, Grayden had his Valentine's Party. He made a cute mailbox and came home with all sorts of goodies. I think he ate almost all of them today.
Karleigh had show-and-tell today at preschool. She brought her teddy bear that Grandma and Grandpa Pickett gave her on her 1st Christmas. It is from Build-A-Bear and when you squeeze its arm, she gets to hear Grandma Karen and Grandpa Wade saying they love her. She was pretty excited to show all of her friends today. Apparently, at preschool today she announced that one of the little boys in her class was her boyfriend. Another one of the boys was sad that he wasn't her boyfriend. Luckily, the teacher let her know that there aren't boyfriends in preschool.
