Weight

I found this on a blog that I follow. I love it. I seem to always be struggling with weight...and this is a comfort. I love to work out, but I don't do it every day like I should because some days I am just lazy. I try to eat healthy, but there are days when I simply need chocolate. One day I hope to master this weakness of mine, but while I do, I hope I can remember what the scale doesn't tell me as well.

Dress up

After the pool party, Karleigh and Gray came in the living room dressed up in me and Brad's clothes. I am so glad they have each other to play with. Some days they are just off in their own little world playing together. It makes my job much easier! Lately, they have been fighting a lot more. Mostly because Karleigh goes out of her way to make Grayden scream, and it doesn't take much to make Grayden scream. I am hoping this is just a phase, because the fighting drives me CRAZY!!!

I guess I will just enjoy the moments when they get along. I try to let them work it out on their own, but sometimes I have to intercept!

Dreaming of Summer

I am so not loving the snow and the cold. Apparently, Karleigh and Grayden aren't either. Right now they are having a pretend swimming party.

Grandma Wheeler gave Karleigh an Aaron Carter CD a month ago, and Karleigh is obsessed with it. She puts it on full blast in her room and closes her door and dances and sings to it. IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!!! Anyways, Aaron Carter is the chosen music for the pool party they are having in Karleigh's room. They are such funny kids.

Looking Good!

I haven't blogged for a few days, mostly because we really haven't been up to much. We've just been hanging out at home mostly. Sometimes it's nice to have nothing to do. Me and Brad did go to the temple this week, which is always great. I took a few pictures of Karleigh and Gray being silly.

Today when we got home from church, Grayden got out of his church pants ASAP, and came out with this outfit on. These pants are size 2T and he wears 4T, but for some reason, he loves these pants. He's looking pretty good!!!

These are the only pictures I took this week...This week I will be better!!!

What do you think about this article?

Has anyone else read this article? It is about "feminist" woman who is obsessed with reading Mormon housewife blogs. If you haven't you should...

http://www.salon.com/life/feature/2011/01/15/feminist_obsessed_with_mormon_blogs

I think it is funny that she assumes Mormon housewives sit around and craft "all day every day." I wish! That's like my dream come true..haha. Anyways, I was just wondering what you guys thought about it...

Day 7: Favorite Movie

I don't really have a favorite movie. I love a lot of movies, Dirty Dancing, Footloose, The Notebook, and the list goes on. I do have 2 favorite TV shows. Those of you who read Katie's blog, are probably realizing that we are a lot alike....I have all of the seasons of both Friends and The Office. Sometimes I forget that these are not real people. I always have these shows on when I am cleaning or folding laundry. I can watch them over and over again. I keep waiting for a Friends Movie to come out and I am so sad that Michael is leaving the office.

So this 30 days challenge might end up taking me more like 60 days, but at least I am doing it!!!

Day 6: A Picture That Makes You Happy

I was looking through my pictures for this post, and this picture made my heart smile. They were both so little. Grayden is 1 and Karleigh is 2 in this picture. I loved this age!!!

Day 5: My Siblings

I love my siblings!!! We all have so much fun together. As we get older, we just grow closer and closer. Love you guys!!!Katie is 27 and married to Steve. She has 2 daughters, Savannah and Sophia. She is the best mom. She is the smarty pants of the family. Her 2 loves are reading and sleeping. I have never met anyone who loves to read as much as her. She is very logical and also pretty crafty. You never want to get in an argument with her, because she will win. She is a bargain seeker. If you want to know how to get your child's entire wardrobe for under $30, just ask her!!!

Kevin is 20. He is on a mission in the Dominacan Republic right now. I am amazed by how much he has grown spiritually over the past year. Before he left, you could find him taking 5-6 showers a day, playing Halo, checking out his muscles, and spending time with his lady friends. Now, he has given all of that up to serve the Lord. Kevin is funny and easy going. He is a great guy.

Abbie is 18. She recently went from having absolutely NO RESPONSIBILITY to working part time, going to school full time, and being in the relief society presidency. It was a bit of a shock for her. Abbie likes her alone time and does not like being cold. She can also make some killer music videos. Check them out on facebook. She probably should not have her license, so watch out if you are driving next to a blue Jetta in Logan. Abbie also has a love for sleeping. It must run in the family.

Obviously, I am not very good at this 30-day challenge thing, but hey I am trying...

Logan

At about 3:30 on Friday, I had Karleigh call Brad and tell him that she would give him 100 dollars if we could go to Logan this weekend...How can he possible say no to that?? So I very quickly got us ready to go and we were off...We got there at about 10:00 pm. My cousin, Jill, and her family were there when we got there, and it was fun to get to see them. Abbie and Christian also came over when we got there on Friday night.
Cute cousins...Sophie was sleeping.

We went to Chick-Fil-A for Lunch on Saturday. We thought it would be fun to let the kids play, but it was SUPER CROWDED. It didn't last too long, so we decided to head over to Sam's Club, specifically for the free samples, which is always fun. Abbie met us at Sam's Club and hung out with us for the rest of the night. After Sam's club, me and my sister's went shopping. I was on a bit of a spending freeze, as I have a bit of a shopping problem at times. I did pretty well, but there were just a couple of deals that I couldn't pass up. That night, Katie and Steve's nephew, Peter and his wife Kylie, babysat that kids for us and we went out to dinner to Cafe Sabor. We rented The Social Network and Dinner With Schmucks. I am a little mad at fabebook now.

Having cousins is the best. We went see my Grandma Pickett this morning. I hadn't seen her in quite a while, so it was nice to get to visit with her.

Sophie loves Brad. It is really cute. She is a bit scared of me, which makes me said, but I deserve it. When Karleigh was little, Katie and Abbie would sing the Mocking Bird song to her and then scream the words MOCKING BIRD in the song. They thought it was really funny to scare her. It sounds pretty cruel, but it was pretty funny. So, I retaliated on baby Sophie a few months ago, and she has a really good memory. She is still holding a grudge. Don't worry, I will be her favorite aunt in no time.

Thanks for letting us come and visit! We seriously had a BLAST!!!

Day 3 and 4

I skipped day 3...so I will just head right to day 4. All about my parents. I love my mom and dad. They are the best.

First I am going to talk about my mom. Everyone loves my mom. She really is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. She is so easy to talk to, and so many people come to her for advice. She was the best mom growing up and I now I consider one of my very best friends. She is funny, kind, spiritual, stylish, and just plain awesome. She is a clean freak, which is something that drove me crazy growing up, but I totally understand it now!! She is an amazing woman. One word to describe my dad would be kindness. He would truly do anything for anyone. He is very patient. Me and my siblings did some pretty stupid things growing up, and he always had such patience with us. He gives the best advice and he is very sentimental. He is a hard worker in every aspect of his life. He's very down to earth and pretty funny as well!!!

I feel like I had the best childhood with my parents. They happily made it to every single event that I participated in, which was a lot. They always made sure that I did my best and that I was kind to everyone. They were so involved in every aspect of my life, academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

So that's just a taste of my parents. I could go on and on. Now, they are such great grandparents too. I love you, mom and dad!!!

Shopping Day

Last weekend, I got to go shopping with all of my sister in laws, except for Ashley, who we MISSED!!! It was lots of fun. JaLeigh was shopping for prom dresses and the rest of us did a little shopping as well.
I forgot my camera, but Mandi pretty much always has a camera with her, so she was really good about taking pictures. We wanted everyone to be in the picture, so she asked someone in the mall if they would take a picture for us. She said that we were taking a picture because we have "never been to a mall before." She's so funny.

Here are a couple of pics of JaLeigh in the dresses she tried on. When we went into the store Frenzy, the saleswoman asked what we were in for, and Mandi responded with "she is going to prom, and a few of us just got engaged." We were hoping to try on some dresses, but we never did get to it.

After many, many stores, JaLeigh was not successful in finding her dress, but that's okay, because we all had lots of fun!!! I love these girls!

Day 2-Meaning Behind Your Blog Name

Four Wheelers. The meaning really comes straight from Brad. He loves to go four-wheeling. He grew up four wheeling, hunting, and really just being a mountain man. I thought this was so strange when I met him. I have never lived in a small town, so when Brad told me he went hunting, especially with a bow and arrow, I thought it was strange. Now that I have lived in Monroe for almost 5 years, it is completely normal to me, and I even enjoy a little camping here and there!!! Anyways, since there are 4 of us, and our last name is Wheeler, I thought the name fit perfectly. I guess the name will have to change someday when we add another Wheeler to the family.

Cute Aprons

My incredibly talented friend, Kelley, has been making these adorable aprons. Karleigh has the one pictured below and she LOVES IT!!! It makes playing with her kitchen set so much more fun. She sells everything in the picture below for $20, which is a pretty good deal!!! They make great presents too!!! If you ever want to order one, let me know, and I can give you her info.

Here are a few others that she has sold! They are SO CUTE!!!

Day 1-Recent picture and 15 interesting facts

My little sister, Abbie, started doing something like this on facebook, and I decided that it might be fun for me. I found a 30-day blog challenge online at http://katieslifejourney.blogspot.com/2010/10/30-day-blog-challenge.html. You should do it too!!!

1. I have the worst memory EVER. I thank my dad for this, who also has a horrible memory. Don't get offended if you ask me about a memory we had together, and I can't remember. I hate this about myself. I always tell Brad that I am going to be like the lady in the notebook, and he is going to have to read me my blog when I am old so I can remember our life.

2. Being a stay at home mom is hard for me! Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way, and I feel so lucky that I get to be at home with my kids. They are the light of my life, but sometimes I crave adult interaction.

3. I love to run...but have abandoned my love for over 2 years now. I can probably count on my hands and toes how many times I have ran in last 2.5 years. I ran a marathon 2.5 years ago, and it totally burnt me out. Now I can barely run 5 minutes. It's pathetic. I did just invest in a treadmill, so I am hoping to get my booty in shape again.

4. I love to SLEEP!!! I could sleep for 12 hours every night and then take a 2 hour nap during the day, if I had no kids and no job. There is nothing better then cuddling up with a blanket and catching some z's.

5. Diet Coke is my addiction.

6. I LOVE to shop!!!!! I can shop all day and not get bored. It's fabulous.

7. I have the best family in the world. I have the best husband. I have the best kids. I have the best parents. I have the best siblings. I have the best in-laws. I'm really and truly blessed.

8. Onions make me cry.

9. I love to vacuum. I feel complete when my house is clean and I have vacume lines all over my carpet. I usually sit down and enjoy it for a couple of minutes before littel footprints make the vacuum lines invisible.

10. Some of my favorite nights are spent on the couch watching TV with Brad (that doesn't mean I don't like a night out every now and again...hint, hint). We usually fight over what we are going to watch, as our ideas of a good show are very different. I perfer the bachelor or Teen Mom, he perfers shows on the History or Discovery Channel. We usually make a compromise and end up having fun.

11. My best friends are my sisters and my mom. I love them!!

12. I have moved around a lot in my life. I have lived in Oregon, Ohio, Colorado, Indiana, Washington, and Utah. There might be more...Remember, I have a bad memory.

13. I hate cooking. I do not find it enjoyable at all and I usually disklike the way everything I cook tastes.

14. I love hugging Brad. His hugs are wonderful!!

15. I could never have too many back rubs. I bought a shiatsu back massage pad, and I was really excited about it and used it for like 2 hours one night while I was working. The label said to only use it for 15 minutes. Well, I should have listened!!! My back is SO sore! It was worth it though.

Lazy!!!

My little Grayden is one very cute, but very lazy little boy. If I would let him, he would have me do everything for him. Having him put his own pants on, is like running a marathon to him. I am kind of a pushover and do way more than I should for him. Anyways, today I was having the kids clean their rooms, and this is where I found Gray. He was hiding in his closet playing with his sticker book....

While Gray took his nap this afternoon, Karleigh had one of her cute friends from preschool over. They stopped playing for a minute to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate.
And to end the night, Karleigh painted her face like a "leopard."

Preschool Letter

I e-mailed Karleigh's preschool teacher to see how she is doing this year, and this is what I got back.
"Karleigh is doing great in school. She is very good to mind me and is polite to everyone. She loves to visit with her friends, especially Laken, but that is what 4yr olds do :) I am in the process of "testing" this class and will by the end of the month have a written report card (of sorts) explaining how she is doing and what she needs to know by kindergarten testing time. But I can and will tell you that you have no need to worry. I really truly enjoy Karleigh. She makes me smile. She occasionally breaks out in song "She wears short skirts I wear t shirts" etc. One day I had to turn my head I was laughing so hard, I didn't want to make her feel bad because I was laughing at her. Thank-you for sharing her with me for a few hours each week."

I responded with:
"Thanks for getting back with me. I am glad she is doing well. I hope she's not too chatty for you. I had to laugh about the singing. I have had to turn my head on many occasions and laugh!! Anyways, thanks again for being such a great teacher!! We appreciate you."
Miss Carma Reponded with:
"Karleigh is most surely not too chatty for me. She makes me smile. Tuesday she picked up my John Smith figure (from Pocahontas) and was calling him Joseph Smith :) I finished testing the kids and will send home a written letter on Tues. Karleigh is wonderful."

Nice Weather

It was SUCH a nice day outside today. As soon as I realized how nice it was, I sent the kids out there to play. It seems like it has been forever since we have played outside. I really dislike snow...I know I am a mean mom, but I don't like getting my kids all bundled up to go play in the freezing cold...I promise I will sometime this winter though. It made me really excited for spring and summer....

Karleigh's facial expression is awesome in this picture.

We don't have a dog, yet we always have tons of dog poop in our yard. It's lovely. Brad loves cleaning it up.
That's my boy!! He dressed up like this and told me he was an Indian...
I sure do love my cute family!!!

Good Day

The kids were so good at church this week. It's really a miracle. Last week they got a few toys taken away when they got home since they were so naughty at church. Today, Grayden even fell asleep in sacrament meeting, which just does not happen. They got their toys back after church today, and they are upstairs playing with them as we speak. Grayden kept hugging his Diego House and saying "I love my Diego House." When we got in the car on the way home from church, I asked Karleigh what she learned at church today, and she said "reverence, tiving (that's how she said it), obeying parents," etc. Then, I asked Grayden what he learned at church today and he responded with "play dough." Then he told me how he rolls it around in his hand and makes dinosaurs with it. He also said he learned about monsters at church today. Also, when I walked in Sunbeams to pick him up...they were doing some sort of dog pile and Grayden was right in the middle of it. They claim he did good today. Maybe they were just being nice, who knows. Our kids even left church WALKING with their ARMS FOLDED, which also NEVER happens. I felt as though I needed to document this day, since it may never happen again :)

Cheer Night!

Karleigh was so cute tonight. She had a BLAST!!! She got to sit right next to the cheerleaders for the first half and she cheered the entire time. There were 2 little girls who ran out in the middle of the gym during the game. It was really funny. I might not have thought it was quite as funny if it were my kid. After the game, Karleigh and Gray drove home in Grandma and Grandpa Wheeler's car. I guess when they climbed in, Grayden said, "Karleigh did AMAZING." Such a sweet boy.

Way to go, Karleigh!!! We are so proud of you!!!
