New Year's Eve

We partied at our house this year for New Year's Eve.  My family and Brad's family were in town for Jackson's Blessing the next day.  We had a taco bar for dinner, a pinata for the kiddos, played bunco, and sat around laughing and talking until the clock struck midnight.  It was fun for me to be with both sides of the family.  I felt so lucky!!!  These pictures are in random order.

Happy New Year's.

Christmas Jammies!!!!

This is one of my favorites!!!  I love this tradition and I hope we do it forever.  Every year my mom and dad give us all matching jammies and then we take lots of pictures!!!

Random Pictures!!!

For those of you who read Katie's blog, as well as mine, you probably notice the similarities!  We post almost all of the same pictures when we have family get together, and she usually dos it about 2 weeks before me, so I tend to just steal the pictures right off her blog...so if you have read Katie's blog already, this will just be a repeat!
The night before New Year's my family went and stayed at my Grandma and Grandpa Jone's house!!!  Karleigh and Gray wanted to stay with everyone, and Katie and Steve let them sleep in the room with their family.
Sophie=Cute!
After family pictures, my mom and dad treated us to some Krave...Yum-O!
Christian and Abbie being Christian and Abbie.  I love them!
My cute baby Jackson.  I just can't get enough of him.
Dancing it up with the Kinect.
I had to test the trampoline out for myself.  My kids were pretty shocked that I could do a back flip.  I can't remember if it was Karleigh or Grayden, but one of them asked why I could not a back flip.  They were confused that I was a mom and I could do a back flip.  That just didn't make sense to them.

My grandparents set up this cute village every year.  The kids LOVED IT!
One night we went to Five Guys for dinner.  I love Five Guys.  Jackson did not enjoy this at all!  He screamed the entire time.  He did get a bunch of immunizations that day, so I don't blame him too much.
Karleigh is always coming up with these awesome outfits.
 All the cousins.
 Abbie talking to Jackson.
  Some more dancing....

It was such a fun week.  I was telling Brad that I already miss our families so much.  I love December because it's full of family, but now I am missing both of our families like crazy.

Christmas #2

My family came to St. George on the Tuesday after Christmas and stayed for the week.  It was so much fun to have everyone here.  On Tuesday night, we had the Pickett Christmas Party.  My parents got the grand kids trampolines for Christmas.  They have loved it!  Here are all the boys setting the trampoline up.  We closed all of the curtains so the kids wouldn't see what was going on,but Karleigh peaked and I think Savannah ended up seeing it too. Brad hurt his back the week of Christmas, so we appreciated the help!
My mom set up a scavenger hunt with clues that would lead them to the trampoline.

Jackson enjoyed cuddling with Grandma Dody while the kids went on their hunt.

They found it!!!!  They were so excited.  They spent so much time on the trampoline while everyone was here.  Also, the weather is nice enough for them to use it every day still.  I love it!

For every 1st Christmas, my parents make the kids a Build-A-Bear.  They name it and if you push its hand, it is my mom and dad's voice saying that they love them.  Jackson got this cute puppy and his name is Jax.  It is so cute.  My kids love their bears!!!

This year we let the cousins pick out gifts for each other at the dollar store.  My kids had so much fun picking out presents for Savannah and Sophie and wrapping the presents all by themselves.  As you can tell from the pictures above, they got some pretty sweet gifts from the dollar store...haha.  Grayden's police glasses remind me of something straight from the 70s.
Every year, we give my parents a scrap book of the happenings for the year.  This is the 8th book we have made them.  We started doing it last year with Brad's family too.  I think it's such a great family history.

We also opened up brother and sister presents.  We walked away with the new dance game for the Kinect, which we have put to good use.  Thanks Christian and Abbie!  We also played some really fun games!!  I love that we get to celebrate Christmas with both sides of our families each year.  Merry Christmas!!!
