Daddy's Girl

Tonight, while Karleigh was saying her prayers, the 1st words that came out of her mouth were "Thank you for letting us go hunting and camping." This was a happy moment for Dad. He has found himself a hunting partner...

And here is Gray, being the silly boy that he is...

Fighting Kids

Every now and again, my kids play pretty well together. It's like heaven to me. I can get things done or just relax myself. Lately, there has been no getting along. They have been fight CONSTANTLY. Karleigh picks on Gray, Gray comes crying to me...I have to get after both of them...Karleigh for picking on Gray, and Gray for crying over every single little thing (we are definitely reaching the terrible 2's). Anyone have any good advice? Being a referee gets a little tiring some days. Today, the only thing that is working is to have them each in separate tents while watching a movie...

Help!!! I want happy kids...

Really Live...

“I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenk's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed some one's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.”

Friends, Blood, and Barf...

Welcome to my private blog...We will give this a try for a little while.

This week has been pretty uneventful. I don't even have any pictures to post...You see, I ordered the box set of Friends, and I got them on Monday. Since then, I have been a pretty neglectful mom. My poor kids...

There were 2, not so fun, highlights this week. First, on Wednesday, Grayden and Karleigh were running around our new tent, and collided right into each other. There was blood every where. I was so freaked out. I for sure thought something was broken, but it was just a bloody nose from Karleigh. I should have grabbed my camera, because it was pretty scary looking. The kids were pretty freaked out too. Then, last night around 8, Karleigh threw up...and continued to throw up every 45 minutes or so until 6:30 this morning. She threw up at least 14 times. Brad took care of her until midnight, and then I stayed up with her all night, and then Brad went back on barf duty at 8 so I could go back to sleep. Almost every blanket in our house got barf on it...you should have seen the pile we made throughout the night. The washer is still running. It was the saddest thing ever. She was so pale with black circles under her eyes. I felt so bad for her, but there wasn't a thing I could do for her other than keep her blankies clean, her sippie cup full, and lots of loves. I think she is finally feeling better. Lets just hope no one else gets sick!! Hopefully next week will go a little better for us!

Shopping and The Mountains...

We had a fun-filled weekend. Hunting season officiall began, so Brad went camping. I decided to have a little fun myself and go shopping in Provo. I went with Leigh Ann and JaLeigh. The kids are officially ready for fall to begin with all sorts of cute clothes!! After we got home from shopping, we headed up the mountains to eat dinner with the boys....Brad's dad made some yummy dutch oven chicken and potatoes...mmmm...it was yummy. The kids love it in the mountains...I guess they take after their dad!!
Karleigh loved the corn...I think she had 2 or 3 cobs...

Karleigh, Gray, and Kenzie love their grandma!!!

Gray loves babies. He was trying to give Makenzie loves...

Looks like Gray had fun!! Boys will be boys!!

Sister Time

This post is a little late! Last weekend Abbie, Katie, Steve, and Savannah came to your house for the weekend. Abbie decided to stay behind when my family went back to Washington. She stayed in Logan for a few days, and then came to my house. It was lots of fun. I managed to not take any pictures, but I stole 2 from Abbie's facebook.

On Friday night, me, Katie, and Abbie went to dinner. It was fun to get to go kid-free and just spend time with my sisters. I am so lucky to have such fun sisters! Our dinner got cut a little short because of a fun surprise. I got a call from Brad, who was babysitting, telling me that we needed to come home because the kids were crying and wanted their moms. I was thinking, c'mon Brad get it together...I think you can handle it!! So after me not agreeing to come home, he had to tell me his real reason for the phone call, Heather and Jason surprised us and stopped in for a quick hello on their way to Denver!!! Yeah!! We haven't seen them forever, so it was a great surprise!!

On Saturday, we thought it would be fun to go bowling...BUT IT WASN'T!!! It was pure chaos!!!! I think we will wait until the kids are a little older until we go again.

We had lots of fun, and I am so glad they came for a visit. I hope Abbie will come back again...even though things get a little crazy around this place sometimes!! Thanks for coming guys!!

Happy Birthday Savannah!!!

My cute niece is 2 years old today! I can hardly believe it. She is so full of life!!! She literally runs every where she goes with a smile on her face. We love you Dasana, as Karleigh calls her, and nana, as Gray calls her. We hope your 2nd birthday is great...Wish we were there.

Riding up the Mountains...

Last night, we put the kids in their jammies, and Brad took them and headed up the mountains...They were gone for about 3 hours. It was a nice break for me!!! I would have gone, but I had to work for a minute while they were gone. Brad said they were really good in the truck...and had fun looking for animals. I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at the camera and found a couple of pictures. Way to go, Brad.
I love having the mountains right in our back yard...

Some Family Fun...

My little brother got his mission call to the Dominican Republic. We are so proud of him. He leaves on November 4. Last Friday, he got to go to the temple. It was such a neat experience to have almost our entire family in the temple together. We went to the Ogden temple, since the Logan temple is closed for cleaning right now. After the temple, we had some yummy food at Union Station. Poor Abbie got stuck babysitting 3 babies all morning...Thanks Abbie!!! After the temple, we headed up to my grandma and grandma's cabin at Bear Lake. It was Raspberry Days, and somehow I got roped into running a 5k on Saturday morning. It was pretty sad...I have only ran once since my marathon last year (I know, so pathetic), so I was pretty sore the next day. It ended up being fun. Plus, I got some yummy raspberry ice cream and a T-shirt out of it. These are the people that ran. Also, my cousins, who I haven't seen in years, also ran. It was fun to get to see them and catch up with them for a few minutes.
After the race, Brad and I decided to join in the Raspberry Day fun. They had some toys for the kids set up. Check out Karleigh's face. This was a blow up slide. It was much larger than it looked. I took Grayden down too, and it was fast. Both of them did not like it. It was a dollar to go down 2 times, but after the first slide, Karleigh wanted nothing to do with it. I forced Gray to go down again, and he cried the entire time. I thought it was pretty fun!!

They both loved this bouncy toy...

Nothing like a little cotton candy to top things off...

We got to see cousins we had not seen in a while....

Grayden's first ride on the jet ski...Karleigh was too scared to give it a try. I love these things!!!

We had so much fun soakingup the rays at the beach....

Grayden and Grandpa were getting in some quality time before we had to head home. It was pretty cute.

I am so glad my family came. It was so much fun to spend time with them. It is always hard to say goodbye, though. I miss them already. Luckily, Abbie decided to stick around. She is at Katie's right now, and tomorrow they are coming to my house..YEAH!!! I am so excited!!

A first...

When we went up the mountain over the 24th weekend, Karleigh shot her first gun. I was out four wheeling while she did it, but I just saw this picture on Mandi's blog, so I thought I would steal it. Many people may find this disturbing, but it is completely normal if you're in the Wheeler Fam...
